Ex-Marine who organized armed protest outside Arizona mosque tried to raise ten million dollars to either protect his family or to run against John McCain.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

After announcing last week that he was going into “hiding” to protect himself and his family following an anti-Islam rally he organized in Phoenix, Arizona, ex-Marine Jon Ritzheimer tried to launch a crowd-funding campaign that aimed to raise $10 million. But now, it appears that the GoFundMe site he used has removed the page.

According to KPNX reporter Brahm Resnik, the man said he planned to use the funds to either protect his family or run against Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in 2016.

Well there's a choice for you, hide my family away to protect them from my stupidity, or expose them to greater danger by openly running a campaign for the US Senate.

I am not sure if this chucklehead is more of a danger to himself, his family, or the Islamic community in Arizona.

I don't blame GoFundMe for taking down his page.

Question. How does one "humbly" ask for ten MILLION?

    6. Terrific article, Crystal Sage!

      Just a snippet:

"Okay, first, “Reagan Democrats” were a short-lived electoral blip, not unlike Obama winning deeply-red Indiana in 2008. That aside, here we go again with the repeatedly debunked scam that the “party of Lincoln” at all resembles the modern GOP. Assuming she believes the party of Lincoln was composed of conservative Republicans, she might be shocked to learn that conservatives didn’t abolish slavery, they seceded from the United States to preserve it (patriotic!). Conservatives also blocked civil rights legislation; conservatives tried to block women’s suffrage; and conservatives have serially attempted to sabotage private sector job growth and the economic recovery for the last six years. Conservatives also believe strongly in individual liberty and constitutional protections, unless it has to do with liberty over one’s uterus or equal protection relating to marriage rights. But she seriously believes conservative Republicans had anything to do with abolishing slavery or passing civil rights legislation? Good lord, she’s nuts."

  3. It was a grifting plan all along. It's the newest Republican scam. No different than Palin saying she is "seriously considering".
The little man with the big gun suddenly needs protection for his family after he plans a rally against Muslims. What a jerk.

    1. That's what I was thinking.

This clown is just making stuff up to justify begging for money.

He was never going to run against McCain.

And I'll bet his family is right where they've always been, unless they've been evicted or his house is in foreclosure.

He just wants $10 million dollars so he doesn't have to work for the rest of his life.

Sarah would vote for the ex-Marine before she would vote for McCain. If for no other reason than she can lie and say she supports and votes for McCain when she would never vote for McCain.

bring back the draft, as in the selective service - try to alter the regressive gene pool that now infects our military ...

Anon 10:41 I agree. We now have a military "CLASS" and it is dangerous. When we had the draft, vets were just like the rest of us, part of the civilian population.

Now, the military targets poor kids with little opportunities after high school. Trained in the arts of war, they are made to believe that they are warriors saving our nation and way of life. BS.

We've elevated the military to celebrity status so we will see more of these warriors playing war on (name the affliction) and getting paid for it.

This guy's antics don't surprise me one bit.

10:41 & 12:31 - As the aunt of a woman in the military, I am proud of her service and the service of thousands of others. Dakota Meyers, Kris Kyle and this jerk represent a small fraction of the military. These men and woman volunteer and put their lives on the line, are dedicated and above all they love their country. Shame on you for putting the military "class" down. Go back to the 70's and the twisted Vietnam era of thinking that soldiers are bad.

Do you think Bristol is in Phoenix to lend support to the Phoenix, Arizona, ex-Marine Ritzheimer?

Bristol didn't sleep once but now she sleeps where she is staying? In her truck? I don't think she is ready to meet up with Sarah and discuss things. Sarah may be barely able to tell someone to post the Brancy dill. Why would she do that post about a retiree if she were in her right mind? She wouldn't. Sarah may not ever return from this bender. something happened between her and her last fiance. Todd has abandoned everyone. He sent in some clowns to help Bristol.

    #roadtrip 4 days, 4 time zones, 4300 miles and I didn't sleep once

She sure as hell looks like she is sleeping in this photo. Or is Bristol such a pathological liar that she even has to fabricate a caption for a simple photo?

AND WTF - if her boast of no sleep in 4 days is actually true - she and the other two companions endangered countless people in their sleep-deprived 4300 mile driving marathon to Alaska. What horrifying, stupid and selfish idiots. Good thing they had luck on their side and didn't hurt or kill someone.

I'm grabbing a screenshot of this while it's up just to store away for any future civil lawsuits or criminal prosecutions involving Bristol Palin and her proud proclivity for intentionally negligent reckless endangerment.

Can I humbly ask that people stop humbly asking for a million dollars on GoFundMe as an after thought to exercising his freedom of speech to promote Islamaphobia? Before the wolves start howling, I respect veterans and their sacrifice, but what this guy did is beyond the pale.
