George W. Bush is giving advice to President Obama on dealing with ISIS, instead of sitting in a prison cell as he should be.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

In an interview published Friday, former President George W. Bush suggested that the United States will have to deploy combat troops to Iraq to defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Bush, more than six years after leaving office, was asked by the Sheldon Adelson-owned Israel Hayom newspaper, “is it possible to defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq without boots on the ground?”

“The president will have to make that determination,” he replied. “My position was that you need to have boots on the ground.” The former president described how a “fair number of people” were pushing him to get out of Iraq, that it was impossible to defeat al-Qaida. He said he chose the opposite, to increase troop levels.

“I think history will show that al-Qaida in Iraq was defeated. And so I chose the path of boots on the ground. We will see whether or not our government adjusts to the realities on the ground.”

No, history will show that America created al -Qaida in the 70's and 80's, and that George W. Bush single-handedly created ISIS by dissolving Saddam Hussein's army and replacing them with poorly trained amateurs.

The very idea that this asshole feels that he can offer AN Y advice on dealing with problems in Iraq or the Middle East angers me to my core.

George W. Bush is the worst thing to happen to this country since...since...yeah pretty much the worst thing to happen to this country.

Which makes the fact that he now polls better than President Obama almost inconceivable.

For any of you kids out there, here are the facts.

George W. Bush was an illegitimate President, who started illegitimate wars, for illegitimate reasons.

In my opinion this man should be cowering in a prison shower somewhere, and NOT handing out advice to anybody, ESPECIALLY the man who is still struggling to clean up the shit pile he left behind when his presidency came to an end.

My God, he's awake. Someone, please tuck him back in again. No one wants to see or hear him. On the other hand, maybe people will remember to connect him with Jeb (no-last-name) Bush more if we see his ugly face and hear his ignorant voice more often. There are too many people who forget all the damage this cretin has done.

"George W. Bush was an illegitimate President, who started illegitimate wars, for illegitimate reasons."

...and who destroyed this country's economy and the future of it's citizens by borrowing money to pay for the illegitimate wars.

Jeb Bush says he has evolved on his policy of forcing unwed mothers to be branded with a large Scarlet "A".
JEB2016 will now allow them to personalize their "A" by selecting from a pallet of colors AND in any of a number of totally cool digitized fonts!

Any legitimate reporter who asks this clown anything, should be banned from journalism. Who the HELL sks the captain of the Titanic to give helpful suggestions on sailing? Now we have another slow witted member of the Bush clan, getting ready to be installed into the WH. Jeb is no smarter than W, I think he started that rumor about being the smart one. The Bush clan has cost this country untold BILLIONS in blood shed, countries destroyed (including this one) They should hide their head in shame. Despicable family of crooks and liars. Anyone who votes for a Bush should get a mental exam, they are too stupid to vote.

  6. What angers me are the vets I work with that are missing so many limbs. What angers me is the 6k+ soldiers dead and the 500k civilians killed. What angers me is the fact that it was recently reported that Cheney's company made the most of any contractor...what angers me most is the GOP claiming to be all for our soldiers as Bush cut salary and VA benifits as they were deployed. What angers me is that the current Democratic leadership never says anything about Obama giving our Vets and the VA the largest increase in funding in history.....and I'm angry about much, much more...

Well put. How many dead civilians and orphaned children did we leave behind? Remember the mother of a dead vet who had the unmitigated gall to trail him and ask him why her son died. She even pitched a tent and stayed about a mile away from his ranch in Crawford, and he avoided her like the plague.

I thought that the unwritten rule was that former Presidents (and Vice Presidents, we're looking at you Dick Cheney) did not comment on the actions of their successors.
At least, it used to be a hard and fast rule, observed by both parties.

5;21 EVERYONE should be angry about the mess this slow witted clown left for our President Obama to repair. Jeb (no last name0 has already placed all W's old war hawks into positions of authority, ready to resume the destruction. War is how many rich people add to their wealth, to HELL with the little guys. Cannon fodder is how they look at regular folks. Jeb is as lackluster as any candidate, no personality, no "polish" Typical Bush, in other words. I used to just seethe when they showed W running with amputees, grinning like a chimp. Is he too stupid to connect the dots, that HE caused the injuries? Dumb, ignorant, cold blooded worthless Bush.

He's polling better only because of the cell phone factor. Majority of pollsters still only call land lines, and only blue-haired, senior citizen republicans still have land lines.

Nazi's were tried and convicted by the World Court. Though Shrub didn't kill as many people, he and his ENTIRE cabinet should be convicted of high war crimes.

If the people in this country are palin-stupid enough to elect another Bush, then they deserve what they get. WE do not deserve it.

Poor Jeb exclamation point, trying his best to distance himself from his brother, and his brother doesn't have a lick of sense. Why is he speaking now? Of course he demurred to commenting on President Obama. George didn't care much where Osama was or if he was still alive. Of course the chickenhawk says "Boots on the Ground".

Hey President GWBush, did you do a painting of Elian Gonzalez? Jeb no name exclamation point wants to do a photo op with it.

Seeing that photo reminds me of the rush to "Save Terri Schiavo" and a sitting President poking his nose in it. They need props, Bobbi Christina Brown is still on life support.... crickets chirping...... hmmm wonder what's different this time?

George W giving advice on the middle east is like Sarah Palin teaching a class on grammar and syntax.
