John Oliver's Last Week Tonight created a supercut of premature declarations about the "end of Obamacare." It's a telling look at the manner in which political promises fuse with the news cycle to exaggerate reality.
Vox goes on to lay out a roster of false predictions since 2010.
I don't know about everybody else but I found watching that video, and knowing how things have turned out, to be incredibly satisfying.
I think moving forward I will simply respond to every prediction made by a conservative with a hearty shout of "Bullshit!"
Should be easy since I have essentially been doing that for the last ten years already.
Forget that, check Dakota's Facebook page he is getting ripped for a very insensitive post targeting his fellow veterans.

DeleteMany of our veterans have severe problems with the explosive bangs that go with fireworks. When I was a kid, we had a neighbor who served in Vietnam and had really bad anxiety with fireworks and everybody respected that and we kept the fireworks away from their house.
We certainly didn't make fun of him.

I didn't read it, but it sounds like someone Bristol would find attractive. PTSD and suicide along with self medication, alcoholism etc plagues many of those who honorably served, sad to hear a MOH recipient disrespect his brothers and sisters. It's uncalled for and low class.

DeleteMeyers is sickening. My former husband was a Vietnam vet, who was critically wounded during the second tour. He remained in the Marines could could not abide fireworks or even cars backfiring. His physical reaction was instinctive and obviously agonizing. It was not something he could control.
