Scott Walker just officially jumped into the race for the White House.

Courtesy of NPR:

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker — best known for his high-profile fight with his state's unions and for surviving a 2012 recall vote — steps into a competition for the GOP presidential nomination so crowded with contenders that he will be forced to fight for attention just to get his message out.

"I'm in. I'm running for president because Americans deserve a leader who will fight and win for them," Walker tweeted Monday morning. He is expected to make a formal announcement later in Wisconsin.

So this is the guy that many of the  establishment Republicans have been drooling over. The guy that is going to bring a message that will unify the party behind him, and move him to the front of the pack past favored front runner Jeb Bush, and crazed attention seeker Donald Trump.

Here is a little of that message now.

Uh, is anybody else as underwhelmed as I am?

To sum up, he likes to fight, he likes to win, and he likes to brag about things that are patently untrue. (Such as improving education and creating jobs.)

So THIS is the great Koch hope for 2016?

Seriously. Does anyone...anyone?..believe the American people are going to elect a college dropout?

Although, the ones with (real) degrees are not sounding much smarter.

I guess that makes me a snob.

Not at all. We need smart, intelligent leaders, who have taken the time to learn things beyond the world they already know, who've listened to different ideas, and who've spent their formative years expanding their knowledge.
Abraham Lincoln didn't go to college. Neither did Ernest Hemingway or William Faulkner. But they were geniuses. Scott Walker needed to grow beyond his limited boundaries before he could attack those he doesn't agree with or understand.

12:48 -- quite a few, including Johnson, Reagan, Geo. H.W. Bush.
You could say that Eisenhower and Carter, at West Point and Annapolis, received only undergraduate degrees, but they both received extensive military training afterwards.

But what they did with their undergraduate degrees means a lot. Johnson dropped out of college for a year to earn money -- he taught at a Mexican-American segregated school south of San Antonio.
He vowed that he would always fight to make sure that every American had the opportunity to get as much education as they wanted to get.

Contrast that with a Scott Walker, who dropped out his senior year of college (why would one do that?), and Sarah Palin, who has never proven that she got a college degree, and has not urged any of her three now-adult children to advance their educations or better themselves.

Perhaps he's working on an online college degree such as a Bachelors of Arts in Advanced Associated Applied Strategic Presidential Technology Strategies with a minor in Tenor Accordion Composition at University of Phoenix with plans to graduate before his re-election campaign in 2020?

    7. Snob or not, you know if it was a Democrat that GOP would continually harp on the fact he was a college drop out.

There is a certain discipline involved in successfully completing college that is not a part of the K-12 public school system. Not to mention running a country and being commander in chief involves something beyond K-12.

Most businesses and corporations nowadays wouldn't consider hiring anyone that didn't have any higher education beyond a high school diploma. Why should we consider someone like that for the highest office in the land?

Aside from the fact that Scotty Walker is just plain dumb and unqualified. No foreign policy and obviously no diplomacy skills. He isn't even a successful governor.

Hours before the Clinton and Sanders events, big crowds were waiting to get in. The 90 minutes before Scott Walker’s event look like either a slow day at the flea market or a really busy garage sale. Earlier this year the media was hyping Walker, but the bloom quickly fell off the rose as Walker committed gaffe after gaffe. Gov. Walker was so error prone that he avoided the media for months. The result has been sagging national poll numbers, and a candidate that has been passed by the likes of Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, and Donald Trump.

Scott Walker isn’t the hot property that he thought he would be. Walker’s supporters may straggle in, but they don’t seem very enthusiastic or eager to get in the door.

Psychotic disorders are characterized by dysregulation of thought processes. In particular, schizophrenia has hallmark symptoms of delusions – which are false beliefs – and hallucinations – which are hearing and/or seeing sensory information which is not actually present and is not apparent to others. Schizoaffective disorder is a disorder in which, as its name implies, individuals have features of both schizophrenia and mood disorders.1 Typically, psychotic disorders are treated with antipsychotic medications and some forms of psychosocial interventions.2

His records are not available. I've read that there is an official letter from Marquette saying he left voluntarily and in good standing with no conduct reports. But that doesn't mean he didn't choose to drop out rather than go through the official process of being reported for cheating and then suspended or expelled. In fact, it's possible his professor and/or department told him they were going to report him for cheating and suggested he drop out to save everyone the embarrassment. He'd still be officially in good standing.

Bernadette Gillick, MD, was referring to Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin. Go to the website, wcmcoop. Do you believe she went out on a limb here because this was not governor Scott Walker? I doubt it.

Bernadette Gillick was a college freshman in 1988 when she first met Scott Walker. It was spring semester, and she had just transferred to Marquette University. She was assigned a room in O’Donnell Hall (then a women’s dormitory), which she shared with her new roommate, Ruth (not her real name). Ruth was dating Scott Walker, who was 20 at the time, and, according to Bernadette, Ruth was deeply in love with him.

Midway through that spring semester, Bernadette alleges, Ruth found out she was pregnant. She informed her boyfriend, Scott, and initially he was supportive. Yet that support changed to callous indifference for his girlfriend’s predicament after Scott informed his parents of the pregnancy.

Bernadette reports that at this point Scott began denying that he was the father of the baby, and when Ruth said she was considering an abortion, he claimed he didn’t care, as he wasn’t the father anyway.

Bernadette remembers being present when Ruth was dealing with the wrath of Scott’s mother, who allegedly admonished Ruth for trying to “ruin [her son’s] reputation.”

“I supported her [Ruth] as he [Scott] went from encouraging her to get an abortion, to telling me it was in my best interest to keep my mouth shut, to denying that he was the father and having his own mother call her and tell her to stop erroneously accusing her son of paternity,” Bernadette recounts.

Of all the Republicans running, Walker is the one I like the least. He is pure evil in my view and cannot be trusted. He has flipped flopped on so many issues, he stands for nothing but himself. The man would sell his mother for the nomination.

But good news. There are several articles out calling him less than smart with a 'Sarah Palin' problem in that he knows nothing.

In addition, there are many of Walker's top aides that have gone to jail or are facing jail for corruption. Of course, Walker says that he knows nothing about it. Where there is smoke, there is fire. I am sure things will be leaking to the press in the near future from other Republicans who have done their research on this crook.

    http://www.jsonline.com/watchdog/noquarter/scott-walkers-political-future-is-no-sure-bet-b99536423z1-314502171.html

"Gov. Scott Walker may accomplish through his personal political ambitions what Democrats, labor unions and tens of millions of dollars couldn't:

Putting an end to his Wisconsin political career.

Many politicos — including some conservatives — believe Walker's announcement of his presidential bid on Monday effectively marks the end of his tenure as state CEO.

Even if he fails to win the Republican nomination or even the presidency, some say, the second-term governor is unlikely to return to the east wing of the state Capitol.

"So you're hearing some of the same rumors I am," responded former Gov. Scott McCallum, a Republican who served from 2001 to 2003.

Conservative talk show host Mark Belling, long an ally of Walker, said he is betting that the governor will move on from his current post when his presidential bid is done.

"There is no reason for Walker to return to Wisconsin," said Belling, whose daily show airs on WISN-AM (1130). "He is not wealthy and still has two kids in college. There is a fortune to be made on the lecture circuit and by affiliating with conservative interest groups."

I think Scott Walker is about to ho the same row Sarah Palin did. He has already burned the state of Wisconsin down to save it.

You Could Almost See The Koch Lips Moving As Scott Walker Announced His Run For President

Scott Walker announced his campaign for president by repeating almost word for word the top priorities of the Koch brothers.

Scott Walker immediately listed why he thinks he should be president. He discussed his efforts to suppress the vote (voter ID laws), more guns (Castle doctrine), less medical care for women (defunding Planned Parenthood), and lower wages (union busting). Walker gave the usual empty Republican gibberish about giving power back to states.

Walker said, “America needs a president who will fight and win for America.”

Gov. Walker’s whole speech was based on selling himself as someone who can win in blue states because he has managed to survive in Wisconsin. Walker announced his plan to gut federal funding for education, Medicaid and job retraining by disguising this as sending money back to the states. What Walker was referring to was block grants that would lead to fewer people getting services.

Walker attacked poor people and talked about the “dignity of work.” Walker disguised it as helping people move from government dependence to independence. He touted his drug testing of welfare recipients. He claimed that he was making it easy to get a job, but what he has actually done in Wisconsin is throw hundreds of thousands of people off of healthcare while harming senior citizens by cutting Wisconsin’s SeniorCare program.

Scott Walker promised to take away 18 million Americans access to healthcare by repealing Obamacare. Just like every other Republican candidate, Walker called for the repeal of regulations, which he called “the Obama regulations.” Walker promised to approve the Keystone pipeline. Gov. Walker said that he trusts families, and the crowd forgot to applaud, so he stopped and waited. As he has gashed funding for higher education in Wisconsin, Walker stated his belief that every child should have access to quality education.

Gov. Walker’s speech was a direct point by point delivery of the Koch agenda. Walker said that job creators need a tax cut so that they can be more competitive in the world and create more jobs.

In 2011, Scott Walker was pranked hard by Buffalo Beast’s Ian Murphy. Murphy called Walker pretending to be David Koch. The call took place during the Wisconsin Uprising that eventually led to a recall vote against Walker, which ultimately failed.

The conversation revealed some interesting insights into the mind of Walker. It appears that Walker is a bit of a megalomaniac. He recounted to Murphy the time that he compared his union busting to that of Ronald Reagan and the fall of the Berlin Wall. The story almost sounds as if Walker has some vivid fantasies about destroying unions to fight communism.

College dropout, Koch whore, lame-duck governor, wacko (and fake) Christian beliefs...

Surely we've all seen this song and dance before? I can't believe conservatives fall for this crap again and again.

After much thought and prayer, he decided it's God's will, not his, that he run for President.

Okay then, He's another Sarah with better hair and rounder hips. The GOP's odds seem to get worse and worse with each addition to the clowncar posse'. Hurry, Sarah, make a way and run! Your Country needs you and this damn fool is using your lines.

He likes to fight. He likes to win. I kept seeing visions of cheerleaders screaming "GO FIGHT WIN! YEA TEAM!!" He looks great with that Nixonian sheen of sweat, doesn't he? What a doofus. BTW-shallow as it may be, one of the most obvious things about this bunch of "candidates" is the sheer ugliness of each and every one. It hurts me to look at them. It kills me to look at and listen to them. It's gonna be a long year.

Do not underestimate him. We never believed this slimy jerk could get elected here in wisconsin and he did. We were sure we could recall him, however, many here who despise Walker, also do not believe in the recall process on principal. They said they'd vote him out in next election. They stayed home. Dems don't typically come out in big numbers for mid-term elections, but in the Presidential elections, Wisconsin goes blue. He lucked out, in other words. Please, USA, don't underestimate him. I have no idea why people like his nasally voice and snotty little attitude about the middle class, but they do, and he has a chance. Don't let it happen.

I am still laughing after reading about this earlier. Wisconsin State Representative Mandela Barnes posted the story on his facebook page last night.

Three things you need to know in advance:

    1. The Wisconsin Governor held a rally yesterday to reveal that God commanded him to run for president.

    2. Mandela Barnes is a Democrat.

    3. Mandela Barnes is black.

Here is commentary with someone from Wisconsin who knows Walker fairly well. Charles P. Pierce.

Notice how many people from Wisconsin think that Scott Walker is

    1. Dangerous to democracy

    2. Could win the nomination and the presidency.
