Donald Trump's immigration plan essentially takes a scorched earth approach.

Courtesy of The Washington Post:

Trump’s plan, which is detailed on his website, calls for construction of a wall along the Mexican border, vowing to “make Mexico pay” for it; an end to birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants; the defunding of sanctuary cities; the strengthening of immigration enforcement; and more. In an interview on NBC News, Trump added that he would rescind President Obama’s executive actions shielding millions from deportation, and deport all illegal immigrants: “They have to go.”

Trump's plan also included tripling the number of ICE officers, and hunting down ALL illegal immigrants in America and keeping them imprisoned until they could be deported back to their home countries.

The cost of such a program is estimated in the hundreds of billions of dollars. (Because you know fuck fiscal conservatism when there are wetbacks that need deporting.)

Now of course the question is what do the other GOP contenders do in response to this? Especially if it helps Trump increase his lead?

Let's face even though some of the GOP candidates, like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, talk about working to secure the Hispanic vote, the real base of the Republican party is xenophobic to its core.

So if Trump says outlandish things like this, and it helps him in the polls, what choice will the other candidates have to but to jump on board the undocumented immigrant bashing bandwagon?

Man you can almost hear the ground rumbling beneath your feet as all of the Hispanics rush over to support the Democratic ticket can't you?

  1. Anonymous9:08 AM

Trump's grandfather was an illiegal alien for six years. Why wasn't he packed off to Germay. sparing us all the Grfumps and Trumps?

    1. Anonymous11:21 AM

What about the exwife, Ivana? Is she legal?

    2. Anonymous12:06 PM

According to Trump his kids should be shipped off.

  2. Anonymous9:19 AM

Some gems from you know where, =we really need to step up the education in this country=

carolhaka Guest • 23 minutes ago
The kids born here can stay. Orphanages are available.

susiepuma carolhaka • 19 minutes ago
No they go home too.....................I can't afford to keep paying for other people's kids............bad enough to have the legal ones

    Al B. Guest • 34 minutes ago
....Judge Napolitano on he said.............per the Constitution you cannot deport children that were born in the USA,....
I'm familiar with the arguments about natural born citizens, but where in the Constitution does it say any child born in the USA to illegal immigrants is automatically a citizen? Anyone know? I know it's been customary practice to treat these kids as citizens, but I'm not familiar with any constitutional determination of such.

    susiepuma Al B. • 23 minutes ago
Well, if the parents are deported, the kids go with them................also, the language in the Constitution is vague - might have to be a SCOTUS decision or else an amendment to the Constitution.............................clarifying the language to make it official that only children of citizens are citizens..............

    1. Anonymous9:45 AM

      Ignorance. Read the Constitution.

    2. Anonymous10:09 AM

9:45 AM Ignorance. Read the Constitution.

Whaat?? Read? They'll wait to hear what Sarah says. Or The Great One. Good god these are grown people, my grandkids could run circles around the idiots.

  3. Anonymous9:20 AM

Donald's real plan for immigrants ..gas chambers and ovens.

  4. Anonymous9:21 AM

Cruz daddy never became a citizen until 6 years ago. Too bad he wasn't shipped back to Cuba twenty years ago!

    1. Leland2:09 PM

Too bad he wasn't shipped back before he married Ted's mother.

  5. Am I correct that the only president in living memory that had held no previously elected office was Eisenhower? And even he was a decorated WWII general. After the disaster of Bush, can the Republicans be crazy enough to bring someone to the table with no governing or lawmaking experience?

    1. Anonymous10:35 AM

Depends on how old you are. Hoover never did. He was Commerce Secretary under Coolidge. The only others were Taft (solicitor General and Secretary of War) and four Army Generals, Washington, Taylor, Grant and Ike. So just like those who had held a previous elected office, they ranged from great to, meh.

  6. Anonymous9:38 AM

If Mexico doesn't pay for the wall, will Heir Trump be prepared to invade? Time to finish the Mexican-Ameircan War once and for all. It'd make for great television, so we'd have that going for us.

    1. Anonymous1:54 PM

I know, wouldn't it? Picture the script:

      Trump: "Pay for this wall!"
      Mexico: "No."

Trump: (invades Mexico, shock and awe, nukes Mexico city).

Rest of World: Hunts down Trump, drags him off to the Hague to be tried for war crimes; OR, scrapes his suicidal remains off the walls of the Oval Office, whichever comes first!

      The End.

  7. Anonymous9:49 AM

Now it's Scott Walker who is jumping on the bandwagon and wants to build a wall. Don't these idiots even think what the effect of returning 11 million people back to poor countries would be. Not on those countries but on the U.S. having instability and unrest with our neighboring countries. And that's not even getting to the inhumanity of what they want to do.

  8. Anonymous10:02 AM

I just read that Snott Walker is on board with Drumps wall and deportation. These guys *Repugs* are an embarrassment to this country.

  9. Anonymous10:09 AM

Don't these people understand that our economy would collapse overnight if there was a mass deportation of undocumented workers? See the movie "A Day without a Mexican". Yes, satire, but rooted in truth. Who would be cleaning The Donald's house, who would be mowing The Donald's lawn? Who would be laundering the sheets in The Donald's properties? Multiply this by all the rest of the millionaires' personal needs and poof, there would be mass hysteria amongst the rich.

    1. Anonymous10:53 AM

Understand the economy? These are people who admire Levin, Walker, Rush, Bush, Bachmann, Trump, even Palin for Christ's sake. Everything is over their heads until someone explains it to them. And if it is one of the above, well you can imagine how easily they are misinformed.

    2. Trump looks like a muppet (without the wit) in this photo.
That aside, The Donald is dependent on dozens of people catering directly to his every need (or else!) -- like some domesticated animal: It has been shown that they never fully mature.

Makes sense looking at it that way.

    3. Leland2:55 PM

Barbara, I've always felt he looks a lot like those little troll dolls that were all the rage years ago - just not as useful.

    4. Crystal Sage4:43 PM

I think that Trump's candidacy would be over if someone were to catch a picture of the hooge bald spot at the top of his head. Flying hair is funny, but that covered over bald spot would be devastating to Trump's ego. Maybe that's why he has been wearing that cheap baseball cap of late. It's a cover-up!

    5. Leland -- you're right! esp. the usefulness... but Trump does have his uses as he shits on his opponents, ur, his fellow candidates. Love it.

(I had only been looking at his resemblance to Statler (balcony guy on the left -- esp. Trumps eyes. You'dd think he would have had plastic surgery by now...)

  10. Anonymous10:10 AM

Any candidate who tells you they are going to deport all the illegal immigrants is lying!

Estimates are 11 million of them. Let's be unrealistically generous and say they can round up 1000 a day. 1000 people being tracked down and shipped back where they came from every single day. It would take over 30 years!!

These people's only crime is coming to America in search of a better life and doing the jobs that we don't want to do. And we're going to grab them and take them away. We are not Nazi Germany!

  11. Anonymous10:19 AM

I'm starting to think that Trump is a plant. That he has no intention of really winning....he just wants to implode the rest of the clown car and the people who support them.

    1. Anonymous11:28 AM

I've thought about that, too. Whole thing is just too bizarre.

    2. He is working out some probably childhood rejection, a lifetime of unforgotten slights, etc. -- his seems more and more like a revenge campaign.

He doesn't expect (or really want) to win, but is making sure none of the other candidates do either.

The whole GOP bench seems bent on political suicide and Trump is showing them the way. "Now, whose vote do we need? Hispanics? Women? Attack them."

His photo shows him to be regressing into baby-face childhood. Perhaps he's in the early stages of dementia...

    3. Anonymous1:10 PM

I think he started out running for publicity and his own ego. But now he's beginning to think he really can win and it's almost too much for him to stand.

Part of me hopes he does win the nomination because that would be completely INSANE! The other part of me is scared to death that a bunch of idiots would actually elect him our next POTUS.

    4. Anonymous7:00 AM

1:10 -- they wouldn't vote him in, but the Repub gerrymander rigging in so many states just might give him the electoral votes he needs. Know fear.

  12. Anonymous10:31 AM

I can't believe anyone would vote for any of these suckers!

  13. Anonymous10:50 AM

If Trump's plan went into effect: GOODBYE, anchor baby MICHELLE MALKIN!

    1. Anonymous4:28 PM

Yay. Let's just deport conservatives. People who actually work and contribute to the USA can stay.

  14. Anonymous10:52 AM

That picture of Trump's hair always reminds me of this old British sea Captain's hat.

    A Fan From Chicago

  15. Anonymous11:30 AM

    “They have to go.”
    - The Donald

WTF? Mexicans will all have to go back to Mexico? What about the Palins when they enter the Lower 48? Trump didn't say they had to go back to Wasilla!

    That is some bullshit!

If you White you all right.

If you're brown get out of town and take your illegal minority children who were born here in the good old USA back to Mexico with you and take Obama with his fake ass birth certificate with you!

    Sounds about right Sarah?

    PALIN and Trump 2016

  16. Anonymous11:34 AM

"Herb" Cain and Trump are Democratic moles.

That's the only way any of this makes sense to me.

  17. Anonymous11:36 AM

You know, there is a huge border wall already built in parts of the border between New Mexico and Mexico. There are places in N M where no huge wall can be built because of the terrain. There are mountains that are extremely rugged that would be very expensive if it were even possible to build a wall there. For some reason, politicians love to talk about the border between Arizona or Texas with Mexico, but never talk about the border in New Mexico. Send these stupid politicians to the bootheel in New Mexico so they can see how rugged it is. Mr Trump, I'm talking to you.

    1. Anita Winecooler6:49 PM

So true. And we NEVER worry about the lower 48 and the border to Canada, nor Alaska and it's border to Canada getting walls. Come to think of it, we need a wall around Hawaii as well. Etc etc etc
"Selective Enforcement" is just as bad, if not worse than no enforcement.

They emulate Ronald Regan in every way, yet forgot his famous "Tear Down This Wall" sentence.

  18. Anonymous11:56 AM

Let's say for talking purposes, if Donald Trump is elected president. Don't laugh let me finish.

If Donald Trump is elected president will he look into scams like SarahPac and make them disclose everything? What about looking into spouses of politicians who pimp out prostitutes to the United States of America federal Secret Service agents? Is this so the spouse has blackmail material and can call in for favors from the Secret Service agents at a later date?

  19. Anonymous12:07 PM

I wonder how many illegal aliens Trump employs?

    1. Nikogriego2:58 PM

People who immigrate to the US without documentation are not "illegal aliens." They have not broken any criminal laws, and are not subject to criminal prosecution. They cannot be put in criminal jails. They have done nothing "illegal." They can be detained and deported.

Let's stop referring to them as "illegal" and even worse "aliens." They are undocumented immigrants, which most of our ancestors were, unless you happen to be Native American. And California, Arizona, New Mexico and parts of Texas were all part of Mexico until the US "illegally" stole that land by force in 1848.

Our agricultural economy would collapse if all the undocumented workers were forced out of the country. And of course, they do pay taxes which helps the economy in general.

    2. Anita Winecooler6:39 PM

Well Said, Nikogriego. This nation was built by the sweat, blood and tears of immigrants from all over the world, and the hard work they are willing to do. The concept of uprooting entire families is beyond ridicule. Undocumented is the correct term. ET was an illegal alien, as well as Alf.
China built the Great Wall to keep out the foreigners that kept them strong, but it was fine for Mr Trump to "make deals" and manufacture his "goods" there. Mr Romney was surprised to see fences around factories, because so many people just LOVED working in sweatshop conditions, they needed fences to keep all the willing workers OUT.
Today's GOP "logic" makes no sense.

  20. Anonymous12:35 PM

People who are here illegally still pay taxes every time they buy something at the store. And in some communities and for some stores, the loss of those customers would have a detrimental impact.

It's not surprising that Donald thinks such a complex problem has such a simple answer. Send them all back to Mexico! Most of them are rapists and murders, right Donald?

  21. Caroll Thompson12:41 PM

The 14th amendment gives automatic citizenship to those who are born in the United States. So, there is no easy way to deny citizenship to people who were born here.

There would have to be a constitutional convention, which requires super majorities or both the House and Senate and then a super majority of states would need to ratify. States can hold such a convention, but again a super majority would need to agree to it.

So, back to reality. People born here are us and you cannot send them back to where they didn't come from.

I think this hating on the poor immigrant is going to backfire on anyone who chooses to go down that path. Hispanics are a big piece of our electorate. It is very doubtful that the Republican nominee will get even 1% of the Hispanic vote in 2016. They have the power to turn Arizona, Texas and other states a deep shade of blue.

    1. Anonymous2:57 PM

Living in the SW, I don't think you have a full grasp of the attitude of Mexican Americans towards illegals.

    2. Caroll Thompson3:12 PM

I disagree 2:57. George Bush received 44% of the Hispanic vote in 2004. You will recall that Bush did push for a pathway to citizenship, much to the chagrin of all the haters in the Republican party.

Mittens Romney received 27% of the Hispanic vote. Had he received 44%, he might have won the Presidency. But you don't have to believe me, read this article written after the 2012 election in the National Review:

  22. Anonymous12:57 PM

Cruz was born on December 22, 1970,[6][15] in Calgary, Alberta, Canada,[18]
His father left Cuba in 1957 to attend the University of Texas at Austin, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2005.

  23. Anonymous1:24 PM

i guess donney boy will hold these 11 million in those black-op FEMA camps... he can hire the "ouh keepers" to guard them, hire some cattle cars and "rid" the usa of "these" vermin......

....not sure if i am having a brain fart......
i seem to recall...another guy that thought the same way.... cars...vermin .....

These comments at c4p give a little insight into the minds of those who want SuperHero Trump to take over. Who are his followers? Why do they put their values aside and back a bully? Obama is vilified for ‘not following the rules’, but Sarah, and now Trump, would be encouraged to break them all and take control; for the good of the country of course. (I think they’ve watched the movie Lord of the Rings a few too many times)

    misterlogic0013 • 2 hours ago
Who, how many hard left groups, (Countries, Valerie, Soros), calling the shots for OB, more importantly whats in store for us after his terms in W/H? Hes not going away, wants to rule the world. Not funny. If Farrakhan, Black Panthers, etc, can get away with what they spew, are doing, have done, where will OB take it? Private Army, compounds in every state, private flag? Perverting the Constitution, for his own use? I'm afraid for America, rule of law, freedom. Massive responsibilities, greater then ever for the incoming POTUS, coalition. OB, Clinton s, K street, will have to be rained in. Who is going to do that ?? Sarah only one, square one. Gigantic mess on America,s hands, being honest, facing it, her biggest challenge. Taking responsibility, calling out the traitors first steps. Sarah,s DNA, fearless leader of freedom, for America 100%, class of her own, its time. On the road (again) road map? Bus? reload. America wants peace, freedom, smaller domestic Gov, space to grow, not be spied on. Personal responsibility, semblance, unity, common sense here we come, America Rising, its time, will happen.

If Sarah comes through for us, she should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery in the face of the enemy, above and beyond the call of duty. Do we realize the forces she will face, and the danger to her and her family? Should she run, we must be prepared not only to support but to protect her. The forces against her, and the US, are ruthless, just as ruthless as the ISIS be-headers, only more dangerous because of the veil they operate behind.

  26. Randall3:45 PM

    What do his opponents do?
I'll tell you what they do...
when he says this nonsense in a debate, his opponents ask "how are you going to pay for this huge expansion of the government?"

    1. Anonymous4:12 PM

No kidding. He is hardly a conservative. And he wants to ignore the constitution and deport American born citizens. Aren't they screaming their heads off about Obama 'trashing' the constitution?? My god these people are insane.

Isn't there a law against letting the insane vote?

  27. Anita Winecooler6:16 PM

Mr Trump's "plan" is destined to fail because there IS no plan. When asked whom he goes to for advice on military matters, the blathering buffoon cited "generals he's watched on TV News", then spouted a few names as if he were on a first name basis.
Mr Trump, if you deport Hispanic Families, who have long roots in America's society, may I ask who is going to serve food in your casinos? Who's going to clean rooms, change sheets, harvest farmer's goods, sew and tailor your "fine line of polyester suits"? Who's going to tame that blob flying in the wind that you call "hair"?
How many man hours have you and your family worked for charitable causes like feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, picking food in the fields under deplorable conditions and equally deplorable pay and benefits? Those ARE the jobs "Real Americans" feel is "beneath them" and the very jobs that legal immigrants take until they can better themselves.
You want to take away "birthright citizenship"? What purpose does that serve? These people are just as american as your immigrant spouses kids, will you strip them of their citizenship to "Make America Great Again"?

One more thing, you didn't bother doing your civic duty four other times, didn't show for jury duty, and got slapped on the hand with four $250.00 fines. Anyone else gets a visit from the sheriff's department and a free ride to court. I guess "justice" is "more just" for the rich than us working stiffs.

Why the rush to do "Jury Duty" now????

    The Emperor has no comb!
