Taking a page from the conservative playbook Planned Parenthood release their own doctored videos.

Courtesy of Americans Against the Tea Party:

Planned Parenthood has decided to fight back. With support for them growing after the failed attack, they are turning a bad situation into a positive new educational tool to boost their image.

Planned Parenthood just used the Right’s tactic against them in a newly released, heavily-edited and out-of-context video of their own. It is one in a series I hope, but I think it is the perfect way to give the GOP a dose of their own bitter medicine for once.

I think the people at PP have finally realized that civil discourse is impossible and have started to do what everyone else is doing to the extreme right wing: ignore them, troll them, humiliate them, and keep on keeping on in spite of them.

Works for me.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who has assiduously courted evangelicals throughout his presidential run, will take a lead role in the launch this week of an ambitious 50-state campaign to end taxpayer support for Planned Parenthood — a move that is likely to give the GOP candidate a major primary-season boost in the fierce battle for social-conservative and evangelical voters.

More than 100,000 pastors received e-mail invitations over the weekend to participate in conference calls with Cruz on Tuesday in which they will learn details of the plan to mobilize churchgoers in every congressional district beginning Aug. 30. The requests were sent on the heels of the Texas Republican’s “Rally for Religious Liberty,” which drew 2,500 people to a Des Moines ballroom Friday.

“The recent exposure of Planned Parenthood’s barbaric practices . . . has brought about a pressing need to end taxpayer support of this institution,” Cruz said in the e-mail call to action distributed by the American Renewal Project, an organization of conservative pastors.

The push comes as Cruz seeks to grab a decisive edge in a crowded primary-within-a-primary, with half a dozen GOP contenders battling for what he has referred to as “the evangelical bracket.”

    1. Good. We can hang it around the winner of the GOP nomination. Like it or not, PlannedParenthood provides birth controls, wellness check, mammograms, Pap smears...you know, women's healthcare!!! When I became sexually, I went to Planned Parenthood and got birth control pills!

Republican Ohio state Rep. John Becker told CNN host Alisyn Camerota that sponsors of a bill to force women to carry fetuses with Down syndrome never talked to parents before filing the legislation.

The bill, filed earlier this year by Republicans in Ohio, would ban abortions for women who did not want to carry a fetus that had been diagnosed with Down syndrome.

On Monday, bill co-sponsor John Decker explained to Camerota that the bill would punish abortion doctors with jail time but not the mothers.

“Did you talk to parents who have had to make this decision?” Camerota wondered.

“Well, no,” Decker admitted, adding that he had met people with Down syndrome who contributed to society.

“And what the pro-choice side would say is that it is a deeply personal decision of parents,” Camerota noted. “And that the state is getting in the way of that personal decision.”

“I mean, Representative, where does it stop?” she asked. “What else can the state tell you about how many children you should have or what other personal decisions are you comfortable with the state making for you?”

Pat Roberston: Dow Plunge is God’s Punishment for Planned Parenthood

...The televangelist host of The 700 Club said on Monday that the downturn was a preview of God’s judgment for American complicity in the use of federal tax dollars to fund the “monstrosity” known as Planned Parenthood. Robertson continued to explain how we would “pay dearly as a nation,” and that the only way to stop the American apocalypse was if we “stop the slaughter.”

“It’s coming, ladies and gentlemen,” Robertson warned. “We just had a little taste of it in terms of the financial system, but it’s going to be shaken to its core in the next few months, years or however long it tastes and it will hurt every one of us.”

It's important to talk to parents of ADULT Down syndrome children. As a Special Ed teacher for many years, I gave had the opportunity to speak to many parents of Down Syndrome children and other handicaps. It's extremely enlightening to get their imput after there children have grown up. What an eye opener that is. Also, if mothers are forced to carry a handicapped child they feel they can't parent, is the government going to take over their care for the next 60 years? Who will adopt or foster these children?

Yes, Down Syndrome is not just Corky from Life Goes On; many, many DS sufferers are very low-functioning and have a whole host of physical problems, many of them leading to short, difficult lives. Then there's the sad fact that once a disabled adult turns 21, they're no longer eligible for public school. The costs for special care for medically and mentally compromised adults is astronomical.

Trigg's medical care is and will continue to be paid for by the USA because he's 1/16 native. Same payment plan for Tripp and all their offsprings infinity.

I agree. We have an acquaintance who have a beautiful daughter with DS. Her father and my husband work for the same company. We had them over for dinner a few times, and the parents were conveying how painful a decision it was to not have the same dreams every parent has for their kids and having to give a lot of them up.
She's not high functioning, but they had to make the decision to have her tubes tied because she's of age and sexually active.. Just try to put yourself in their shoes, she's in a "school" that provides therapies, job training and placement, everyday living issues like shopping, counting change, banking, etc..She can barely take care of herself, and they can't risk her becoming pregnant. I can't imagine loving my daughter and wanting grandkids, and having to steer her to that decision..
They worry about her constantly, and are saving and planning for her life after they're deceased. They don't have family and she's their only child.

I think that the national office of Planned Parenthood should sue the fake "organization" that made the original videos in federal court. This nonsense has endangered lives all over the country and will have cost PP millions of dollars in trying to right the travesty brought to us by the far right.

I LOVE IT! Hope there's tons more coming, culminating in GOP candidates for Presidency (aka Clowncar Riders) speaking the truth about Planned Parenthood while pledging their support to fully fund the "good work" they do.

So very true about "civil discourse".

  12. Exactly.

What's sauce for the goose et al.

You steal their playbook and turn it against them.

The only comment should be "what took you so long" and hey, Democrats, are you paying attention?
