Yet another horrific mass shooting in "The greatest nation on earth."

Courtesy of The Washington Post:

Houston authorities have charged a 48-year-old man with multiple counts of capital murder after deputies discovered the bodies of six children and two adults in a home where the man was arrested.

The man, David R. Conley, allegedly was involved in a standoff with deputies that ended when he was coaxed out of the home by hostage negotiators without incident, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Once deputies entered the residence, they discovered the gruesome scene.

“He restrained, shot and killed eight people,” Celeste Byrom, an assistant district attorney, said during a court hearing Sunday in which Conley was ordered held without bail, according to the Chronicle.

Byrom said Conley gained access to the home through an unlocked window and restrained his victims using handcuffs before shooting them in the back of the head, according to CBS affiliate KHOU.

Apparently Conley, who has a history of violence, had previously been in a relationship with one of the victims, Valerie Jackson.

On fact one of the victims, a thirteen year old boy, is believed to be the son Conley had with Jackson.

Can we not go at least one week in this country without yet another report of a horrendous massacre involving a gun?

And let us remind ourselves once again that after Australia's 1996 Port Arthur massacre their politicians bravely said "No more fucking guns!" And there has not been a mass killing since.

It can be done, we just lack the will, and perhaps the intelligence, to do it.

However, the Australian government works for it's people, not the NRA.

The American people simply do not care. If we did, we would have a sane gun policy like other countries where this does not happen. Other countries also have crazy, angry people. They just don't have the personal arsenals that we feel it necessary to amass. I have stopped blaming the shooters. I fully blame the American people who, by our inertia, are willingly complicit in these murders. If we ever decide to care about this, we will vote out the NRA whores. Until then, nothing will change.

The pro-lifers only care about those that are not born yet. It's okay with them to have folks gunned down, cause, second amendment............

There is never a time in this country to acknowledge that we should kick the NRA out of our lives. They are basically a lobbying terrorist organization who work for the weapons manufacturers.
If thirty thousand people died every year of gun violence (excluding wars and civil strife) anywhere else in the world
this would have been dealt with. Here---the answer--more guns. Insanity and tragedy.

The American people simply do not care or they are being hoodwinked by powers that be. Why does the media even bother with all the Trump cray cray theatrics? I can't believe they call any part of it politics. Faux politics possibly. Why? What a disgrace for our entire electoral system.

I am thinking Sarah Palin was right when she would say that Track Palin was a 'combat vet'. Sure he was, like these fools but someone has kept Track's guns locked up.

What kind of a person attacks his 'father' or the guy who raised him as if he was his father? An angry combative dud. Combat is at home or in the neighborhood for some. When they can get to a gun, that works for them. When guns are out of reach some do like Track Palin at the Anchorage brawl or in the Palin kitchen. Toss a few cans at the poor frig. Isn't it harmless?

Maybe some should be paying attention to the smaller stuff before it gets out of hand. Why do they have to keep Track in hiding? He isn't pregnant by a no named father. He is just an untreated vet that probably got his wounds stateside. Some dud that will physically attack his own parent. What are they waiting for? Until he goes off like this David R. Conley.

There are people right now who are in danger of unspeakable harm if the people in the know don't have a wake up call. Come out with the truth and do it soon.

Case in point, armed citizens are shooting each other and shooting police in Ferguson MO, will we never learn?

When I first saw headlines about 8 people being shot in Houston on Sunday, I tried to Google for more information. I was puzzled when I started finding accounts that said there were 6 victims and 1 survivor.

I finally checked the date on those news stories - July 2014.

So barely a year ago Houston had a mass shooting where an angry family member slaughtered innocent children.

Our political leaders spend vast amounts of time legislating the morality of birth control and life saving or life changing abortions. Some are even calling for death certificates and funeral arrangements for miscarriages, no matter how early.

An unfertilized egg, fertilized zygote, embryo, and fetus are sacred, but once the child is out of the womb, using it for target practice is acceptable. It's time to strip them of the "Pro-life" mantles they wear so proudly.

Guns, violence and death. I live in a small older community near Frederick, MD. There was a horrific fire this morning in an older house with 4 apartments. Everyone got out, thank heaven, but the story behind this is just coming out. A young girl who live in one of the apartments was being stalked by an old boyfriend. He had her in the car and went and threw a bomb in the window of the house. It is destroyed and several families lost everything.
He then drove a short distance away, shot the girl and then killed himself. Everyone is in shock here in our small community. Guns anger and violence, when will people learn to be less angry and more tolerant. It's happening everywhere.

    Namaste everyone.
