Can't we just keep him?

Today marks the President's last day up here in Alaska.

And the guy has been having a blast, while also learning a lot of important information about how climate change is impacting our state.

Watch President Obama get behind the camera next to a glacier in Alaska's Kenai Fjords National Park to show you the serious impacts of climate change: http://go.wh.gov/GsxVga #ActOnClimate
Posted by The White House on Wednesday, September 2, 2015
Not only that but MOST of the people really like him up here.

And he's even made some new friends.

And it's not like he can't get things done while he's up here.

Not only that but the fish like him so much up here that one of them could not hold it together.

I'll tell you what, I will gladly trade our two Senators Lisa Murkowski and Dan Sullivan, PLUS  Rep. Don Young, AND any two Palins of your choosing, if you all will just let the guy stay up here permanently.

I mean come on, that's a good trade.

Okay well not a good trade, but a reasonable trade?

No you're right, that trade sucks.

Well maybe, just maybe, once President Obama leaves office he will consider coming back for a longer visit.

I am sure he will always be welcome.

Despite what some on our lunatic fringe might want him to believe.

What a human being. I will miss him, terribly at the end of his term.

It's a comforting feeling knowing your leader has your back, that he is educated and intelligent, but also that he is a lovely human being who is interested in the success of the world as a planet, not just dominating it as a country.

Remember when Sarah invited Andrea Mitchell out to Dillingham to film her picking fish? Well, I just noticed that those nice ladies picking fish on the Dillingham beach don't have their hair and nails done and aren't wearing any makeup and I don't understand how they can pick fish without those things.

You'll have to forgive me, I'm a city girl. But what exactly does "picking fish" mean? Is it catching the fish or cleaning them or both?

    9. Beautifully put, Mildred. Obama's Alaskan reception is heartening proof that discerning, intelligent and decent people still vastly outnumber the reactionary crazies.

If it hadn't been for Obama and Michelle and Bill and Hillz, we Virginians might be under the thumb of Gov. Ken Cuccinelli right now, so I understand Alaskans' reluctance to relinquish him back to the lower 48. He does rather work a kind of magic wherever he goes. Hillary, if you do nothing else right, please offer him the Court.

...The last meaningful effort came in 2007, when former Gov. Sarah Palin signed an administrative order establishing the Alaska Climate Change Sub-Cabinet with the purpose of preparing a climate change strategy for Alaska. The sub-cabinet formed two advisory groups, the first to focus on preparing for a changing climate (adaptation) and the second to consider measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (mitigation). These groups finished their reports just before Gov. Palin got caught up in the national spotlight. Once she became the darling of Fox News in the 2008 presidential elections, she dismissed climate science as “snake oil”.

I think that's far more likely than most admit.

Because Obama is posessed by hatred and revenge. He was being worshipped like a pseudo diety until Sarah Palin came along and burst the bubble by pointing out that the emperor has no clothes.

Picture him growing up and being dragged all over the world with his mom or whoever. Then he finds out in college that there's no shortage of stupid white people who will do whatever he wants just so they can say they've got a black friend. He learned to play that and play it well.

And up until Palin stood up to him, I think he'd always gotten whatever he wanted by playing the stupid white libs for all they were worth."

She let the "socialist" (RIP)who also sponsor Todd, in iron dog send thousands of gallons of fuel oil... to Natives ,while SHE did NOTHINHG everyfucking year! People from all over the world send food, money, to help Natives in Alaska. Sarah IGNORED it.
Until Franklin Graham came along with with private jet to fly her up to a village where she insulted and ignored native concerns, ignored elders like Nick J. Franklin brought food boxes with bibles and and bible tracks and she...brought.... cookies& Platitudes!
This is what Sarah Palin did for Natives in Alaska!!
Also she fired Walt Monahgan in a abuse of power snit, the one person who the natives trust and depended for help.
She then proceeded to go to the Alfalfa dinner, with a dog killer Fred malalk while Mt. Redoubt was about to blow with a Shell Holding tank in front of it...and severe weather outage in Juneau "Where's Sarah" and she was cockblocked by Joe Lieberman away from the potus.

I'm so thankful things are changing in Alaska - the Republican majority will be gone in 2016. Anchorage, Alaska has a new Democratic Mayor and our Governor Walker (recently elected) is an Independent and our Lt. Governor is a Tlingit Indian from southeast Alaska and a Democrat!

In fact, he is bringing more attention to Alaska and it's people, the nature and the wants and needs of the communities, far more than she EVER did, reality show or not, it was never about Alaska, and this is.

I love the way he is putting his mark on history and the people of Alaska in a way that only he can.

And it tickles me that Sarah ain't no where to be found in town. She has got to be melted down in some hotel room in the lower 48, waiting for the drugs to kick in, because this is just too much to handle, PBO has invaded her space, big time and has not once mentioned her name, nor, from what I have seen or read, NO ONE has broached her name to him, either. Sarah and Todd must really be afraid of what he would and could disclose about them! Plus, I'll bet he could embarrass the hell out of them. Hope he does eventually.

It doesn't appear today that Todd and Sarah had any fishing business to turn over to Track in Dillingham.

This is so rich. There he is in Dillingham, the place that Sarah did her photo op with salmon fishing all those years ago, where Todd is supposed to have this big deal reputation as a fisherman and NO ONE is mentioning anything about the Palin klan. I'll bet no one in Dillingham wanted a thing to do with the Palin family with President Obama being there. They gave him a grand welcome and it made my heart swell!

The Palins and Heaths have horrible reputations in Alaska and this trip by President Obama truly proved it!

Then why are people still afraid of them, they should stick together and get the truth out about these bullies.

I think President Obama's trip to Dillingham pretty well displayed the fact that the Palins have no clout in Dillingham! President Obama was warmly welcomed by its residents and he was happy to be with all of them!

You saw or heard nothing of a Palin or a Heath during President Obama's entire trip. Especially in Dillingham which is where Todd and Sarah projected themselves to be every year for their supposed fishing habits. Appears that was another of their lies!

People are NOT afraid of the Palins in Alaska! They have no clout anywhere in the state! And, they continually prove to be nothing more than liars and frauds.

    5. Anonymous6:19 AM

Sarah was afraid to show her face in Alaska (Todd was no where to be found either!) during President Obama's trip to our state!

Nothing was brought up about either of them during President Obama's trip. It was so obvious the Palins have zero impact on Alaska!

Thank you, President Obama, for bringing that to the forefront throughout your visit to our great state. And, no one even mentioned them anywhere - even in Dillingham - the town they supposedly fish in every year (liars!).

Remember when Palin quit her job and she said that she would spend all of her post-gubernatioral time advocating for Alaska and Alaskans? Yeah, well, that never really happened and as you said President Obama has brought more positive attention to us and our people in 3 days than Palin ever did.

    $$$$$$$

The only thing $arah Palin helped was filling her pockets with our money. Then $he would leave Alaska for barbecues and pancakes in the lower 48. Sarah stay down there in the lower 48, you're not wanted up here you Alaskan poser.

Right? I mean she quit her job in order to cash in then completely abandoned Alaska and our causes. She can't even use her "Alaskan" credentials any longer as she no longer collects the PFD and spends most of the year "outside". She forged her reputation using our state and sold herself as a "tough Alaskan outdoors woman" when in fact she was about as familiar with the outdoors as someone who spent her entire life in Manhattan; she couldn't even sight and shoot a gun!

It's nice that some real Alaskans were being highlighted during the President's trip here so that in comparison Palin looks like even more of a poser. I love it!

You are correct, 5:47. He has brought a lot of positive attention to Alaska and its people are lucky for that. Actually I believe he's brought positive attention to our country as a whole so we are all lucky to have such a great POTUS for eight short years. His legacy will live on.

I can't believe him. He saves the world from the short-term threat of nuclear war and produces (sort of) beautiful environmental videos that awaken people to how precious our country is. What else will he do in this majestic Presidency? I'm touched and thrilled by him.

I was watching video of the trip on Rachel, and couldn't help but put any one of the nitwits running for POTUS in his place. Dancing with kids..Ted Cruz? Joking with the photographers...Carly? Making friends everywhere he goes..Trump? Concerned about the environment we live in....Bush?? Yeah, I know. Obama is one of a kind, and we will not see his like again. He reminds me of the hope we all had about JFK, except Obama's managed to stay safe. Bless you, Mr. President!!

Love his smile and demeanor. Lovely man! Great having him here in Alaska and hate having him leave. He's brought Alaskans such joy and kindness.

God speed, President Obama! You are doing one hell of a job and I can hardly wait to see what else you will do before the end of this second term.

I didn't scroll through the comments, so this may have already been mentioned.

Bristol, on her blog, has posted an article about a transgender teen using the girls' locker room... usual Bristol crap in there... but here's a sort of "telling" part...

The teen in questions had this to say: "It wasn’t too long ago white people were saying, 'I don’t feel comfortable sharing a bathroom with a black person,' and history repeats itself," Perry told Fox2.

And Bristol's response was: (yada, yada, yada, 'no penises in the girls' locker room', etc), followed by this, and I quote "Why is that compared to slavery? This isn’t about being colorblind, it is about protecting all kids."

    OMG omgomgomg...

Slavery. She thinks the teen was comparing it to slavery. Bristol doesn't even know the difference between decades of racial discrimination and slavery. Or maybe she thinks it's all the same thing.

That has to be the craziest thing I've read all day. SMH...

My Mom's family is from England which is how I got my name, but I have to admit that having the same first name as someone as infamous as Bristol is not good. I'm a little bit older than she but it gets embarrassing to introduce myself to a person who then brings up the Palins. Before they were famous, I got complimented a lot, not so much these days.

What an odd thing for Nancy to post! Has Bristol ever been scared by a penis anywhere, especially in a bathroom? Has Bristol ever said "no" to a penis, any penis, that has been put before her so many times in the past?
She's just jealous of Caitlyn's excellent plastic surgeon and her own reality show.

A real contrast from a sign I saw from TN (Nashville?) ......
"Make Tennessee beautiful again.....When Trump leaves"!

President Obama is a kind, beautiful person - inside and out. So much hate, just for the color of his skin. All I see is a very caring man who loves his country, and everyone here. And he carries that feeling to the whole world. Everywhere but the bigoted racists of our country. He has served us and the world beyond our wildest expectations. I'd say, we are the lucky ones. I hope our next leader can do as well under much kinder circumstances than this man has had to deal with. He's gone above what most humans could endure. I wish him a long, happy life when his term is over. I doubt we will see the Obama's in a reality show!

But I thought there were millions of protestors all over Alaska? Did the good guys beat back the bad guys, Bristol, or were there never any protestors at all, except in your drug-addled brain? I have an idea. Go to work, get off your phone, and take care of the children in your charge. Leave the President alone. He's done nothing to hurt you or yours. He's never insulted you, despite your continual goading and evil thoughts. Just go away. We don;t even care who or if the baby daddy is. You re not getting a TV show, another round of DWTS, no more Hollywood goody bags hidden under your coat. NADA.
