Carly Fiorina doubles down on her claim that she saw a "fully formed fetus, with its legs kicking" in the doctored Planned Parenthood videos.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

“Do you acknowledge what every fact checker has found?” Fox News host Chris Wallace asked the candidate on Sunday. “As horrific as the scene is, it was only described on the video by someone who claimed to have seen it. There is no actual footage of the incident you just mentioned.”

“No, I don’t accept that at all,” Fiorina shot back. “I’ve seen the footage. And I find it amazing, actually, that all these supposed fact checkers in the mainstream media claim this doesn’t exist, they’re trying to attack the authenticity of the videotape, I haven’t found anyone in the mainstream media who has ever watched these things.”

“I mean, they will claim that somebody watched it for them,” she continued. “I will continue to dare anyone who wants to continue to defund Planned Parenthood, watch the videotapes.”

“And anyone who wants to challenge me first is going to have to prove to me that they watched it.”

Okay well I accept that challenge as I watched the unedited versions of the tapes (These are the ones that Fiorina claims has the footage.) when they first came out and I saw nothing like what she described.

I also watched this additional video which DOES show a fully formed fetus on a tray (Starts at around the 5:58 mark). However this was NOT filmed inside of a Planned Parenthood facility and there is no talk of keeping it alive to "harvest its brain" as Fiorina suggests.

And there are others who have made themselves sit through the video as well and they also did not find the footage that Fiorina claims was in those first videos released by the anti-abortion group.

It is really no surprise that Fiorina currently finds herself in second place in the GOP polls.

After all it seems that Republicans love a good liar, as evidenced by Trump's rise to the top. So why wouldn't they also appreciate Fiorina playing fast and loose with the truth?

She managed to shout Trump down a bit in the debate but apparently she's as crazy as the rest of them.

Some journalist needs to publicly challenge her to produce the video with that image. They should offer to sit down with her and watch it.

She's dares anyone who wants to continue to defend PP to watch the videos? That doesn't make sense, any more than her preposterous claims regarding PP.

Her appeal to the GOP base is that she's loud, obnoxious, angry, and absolutely not burdened by facts--such as the actual content of the Planned Parenthood video.

She also claims to possess fantastic business experience and acumen, despite the fact that she basically ran Hewlett-Packard into the ground and ended up being forced out by the board of directors.

Between Fiorina, and Donald Trump with his four bankruptcies, I'd say yeah, it's true, they've both got LOTS of business experience.

With what actual result is a consideration absolutely alien to the Republican mindset.

Hey, if Sarah Palin can fake a birth, Carly Fiorina can claim she saw a PP video that never existed.

What she thinks she saw were photos taken from a mom's website and the fetus was born dead. It was not aborted. Fiorina is a liar, always has been and always will be.

Darn straight, and that's what infuriates me. Investigative journalism is dead...no one is allowed to call any of them out, just nod and make small talk until the next talking point.

This woman has no business acumen whatsoever and I'm supposed to entrust her to run this country? It'll be one cold day.......

I've heard/read this as well, and if it is true, I hope the family sues the hell out of any politician who used a photo they posted in their grief as a talking point.

I know someone who had a stillborn child, and while it may be unimaginable to some, the couple had pictures taken of the baby, and keep the framed photos in their home. I can't imagine if a republican used their loss and grief in such a sad situation as a political prop.

      Truly reprehensible.

Someone posted a link to her supposed live fetus. There is indeed a hairless, teeny fetus on a table. But no beating heart, and no kicking. There is a small movement of one leg, when, I suppose, the poor thing was dying, if it was even real. It looked more like a rubber model, frankly, and something in a sic fi movie. Be against abortion Carly. Don't have one. But for God' sake, stop the lying, and stop trying to take away health care from millions of poor women. What is it the GOP has against the poor? Taking away their contraceptive care will not lift them from poverty. If your party truly wants to end abortion, then you damn well better start supporting free and available contraception (you know, like your hubby's free Viagra?) and more education of young MEN and women in the schools. Otherwise, you are just advocating that women be brood mares and nothing more.

Check out Dr. Jen Gunter's blog. The fetus was a premature delivery that could not have happened in a Planned Parenthood clinic, and Dr. Gunter explains why. Furthermore, the mother of the fetus has come forward and said she did NOT give the CMP permission to use the photo, and even though it was illegally, she is going to move on and trust in God. CMP and Fiorina should be ashamed of themselves for exploiting this family and adding to their grief instead of using them to further their political agenda.

Since the truth does not support their positions, the right-wing resorts to lies. This is true not only concerning reproductive rights, but also civil rights, environmental positions, income inequality, and, well, pretty much everything they talk about.

  8. So, Fiorina wants women to have unsafe abortions in the back alleys. Fiorina wants that for poor women. Fiorina is perfectly happy that women with the leisure and cash can get safe, affordable, private, available abortions in Canada and overseas.

De-funding Planned Parenthood does NOT stop abortions. It just moves them to mostly less safe alternatives.

Carly Fiorina should be made to admit that she wants women to have to pee on a stick at the airport boarding gate so that no pregnant woman MIGHT get an abortion outside the USA. The wingnut male politicians can whine all they want about the fate of their precious semen, but female politicians should be forced to admit every bit of the horror of enforced pregnancy.

I agree with Steve Schmidt that their supporters want a candidate who does not back down about anything outrageous they say but who doubles down. Even if they say a lie they double down. Truth is not a priority but have a fighter to knock down others is their ideal candidate. This reminds me of the bridge to nowhere lies and Palin's nonexistent pipeline. Even when a claim is indisputably false the party base champions the most aggressive liar.

Oh goodness, guys! I never thought I would feel the need to defend Carly, but I will give her benefit of the doubt on only one thing. My parents divorced when I was eight and both remarried wonderful people. Both my stepmother and stepfather refer to me and my siblings as their "children" and it is because they both love us all as though we were their own. I've never doubted that and I'm sure it hurt Carly very much when her stepdaughter passed away.

The business about her being proud of every line and wrinkle is total b.s., though. If she was so proud, she wouldn't have had plastic surgery. And she's a bitch, too!

Didn't Carly sell HP products to Iran during the trade embargo? I have read a lot of thing about Fiorina and they paint a rather nasty picture of her. Her famous "DemonSheep" campaign video has been seen by many and we still can't believe it. And looking for sympathy for the loss of her "child" to drugs was particularly heinous.

Similar to Lee Iococa after he was fired from Ford, she has something to prove. After being fired, Iocica moved to Chrysler and got even. Carly has the same ego, and she needs to prove herself. There is end to what she will do to succeed.

Here's a juicy article from the Daily Mail that gives a pretty negative picture of her. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3156767/White-House-hopeful-Carly-Fiorina-s-claims-motherhood-secretary-CEO-rise-fire-ex-husband-ridicules-calculating-tragic-stepdaughter-s-mom-says.html

    The main points:
    1. She had an affair with Frank Fiorina while he was still married.
    2. She was a secretary for a few months after dropping out of law school and it did not lead to her professional career. Her first professional job was with AT&T.
    3. Her first husband, Todd Bartlem, calls her "pathologically narcissistic" and says she walked out on him without any notice or even giving a new address.
    4. Frank's first wife won custody of their two daughters and she is quite bitter today about Carly claiming them as her own.

    Read it. . . you'll love it.

Plenty of people wondered what she has to offer as she'd driven HP into the ground. She was on some talk show and said neither McCain or Palin had the experience or could run things like she could. Shortly thereafter she disappeared from the campaign.
