This woman has a special message for those trying to defund Planned Parenthood.

Courtesy of US Uncut:

Like many women who rely on the services of Planned Parenthood for everything from cancer screenings, birth control, and in some cases yes — abortions — one young woman has a message to Republicans who would like to see these services grind to a halt, endangering those who need them.

She’s flipping them all off, from her hospital bed — post surgery.

In 2013, Ambarie Stacey Schiefer was 23 years old and required surgery to have abnormal cells removed from her cervix to prevent them from becoming cancerous. From her hospital bed, she took a strong selfie flipping off those in the future who would stand against Planned Parenthood, the organization which helped make it possible for her to have the potentially life-saving surgery.

The article goes on to explain that cervical cancer is the 4th most common cause of cancer related death in women, but if caught early through pap smears can be treated quite effectively.

In the last 50 years cervical cancer deaths have decreased by 74% largely due to the availability of pap smears like those offered for free by Planned Parenthood.

Of course none of that matters to the conservatives who would condemn these women to death for the opportunity to also dramatically decrease their access to legal abortion.

But remember, the war on women is merely a figment of the liberal's imagination.

  1. I'm sending this article and pic to every Tea Partier I know.

    1. Anonymous11:21 AM

Don't bother. They won't care. They would rather this woman and others like her die from lack of the health services that PP provides than have the government provide any funding to PP. They're like the NRA who, for example, consider assault weapon massacres preferable to backing any sort of effort to prevent deadly weapons from falling into nutjob hands. Dead women, dead gun shot victims... just collateral damage to these extremists who put cell clumps and dick extenders ahead of living people.

  2. London Bridges9:15 AM

Let's defund Congress' heath insurance and pension. Many of them have never worked a day in their lives, and have zero qualifications.

    1. Anonymous11:53 AM

Whom do you mean by "let's"?

    2. That would be "us". As in "let us".

      It's a contraction.

      Homeschooled? Texas or Kentucky?

    3. Anonymous2:37 PM

English majors: go troll Brancy's blog! We know what London Bridges meant.
We can't be all as perfect as YOU @1:16 & 11:53!
I agree with London bridges, LETS defund their health ins! Remember how Scott Brown was in such a goddamn hurry to get his?
      And you two, so petty....geeze.

    4. I was directing my post to Anonymous.

Go peddle your petty somewhere else.

I'm all for not only Congress using ACA like the rest of us (and paying for it) but also having no pensions but only Social Security. Plus capping Social Security, I.E. you don't get social security unless your income is below a certain level. And that would include capital gains, like stock dividends. Dividends are INCOME.

That's what happens to teachers. If you get a state pension you don't get social security, not even if you've earned it. I see no reason for a millionaire to get social security when they're pulling in six figures or more on their own.

  3. Of course the Wrong Wing will say she should get cancer. They love to see women punished for having a sexuality.

  4. God I'm so sick of the misogynistic right wing! I used Planned Parenthood services for years when I was young and uninsured. I'm still amazed that there are people who don't know that they provide health care services other than abortion. If you don't believe in abortion then don't get one! But your religious convictions don't supercede my constitutional right to have a private, safe and legal medical procedure.

    1. Anonymous10:44 AM

Well if you are going to get all constitutional...
where in the constitution is guaranteed free healthcare at the expense of others?

    2. Anonymous10:53 AM

@10:44 AM Do you mean like the FREE NATIVE HEALTHCARE that Bristol Palin is using up with all of her pregnancies? How about Sarah Palin's fake birth of Tri-g that garners even more FREE NATIVE HEALTHCARE for the 'What's in it for us' Palins?

    3. Anonymous11:54 AM

She didn't say that it was, 10:44.

    4. Anonymous11:58 AM

where in the constitution is it guaranteed that there be free use of highways at the expense of others?

    5. Anonymous12:31 PM

where in the constitution is it guaranteed that there be meat inspections, air traffic control, hurricane monitoring?

    6. Anonymous2:47 PM

      Anonymous10:44 AM

Well if you are going to get all constitutional...
Well Abortion is the LAW Roe vs Wade.
      Deal with it.
And why bitch about Planned Parenthood getting funded when Nasar gets funded? Why I don't know? Why do tax payer dollar fund Nascar? Tell me that 10:44? I don't see Nascar in the constitution?
@10:53 I think Bristol and her spawn need to be DNA to really tell if they are "Rilly" native or not. Grifters!

    7. Anonymous6:15 PM

      10:53, 11:54, 11:58, 12:31, 2:47.

I knew I'd get exactly those dumb angry answers from you dumb angry liberals (highlight the dumb).

    8. To Anonymous...
In the Constitution is states that congress has the power to create "all laws necessary and proper" to carry out their enumerated duties and to "the general welfare" of the country (Art.1 Sec.8). Hence you have the EPA, hurricane monitoring, the CDC, etc. Simply put, there are implied powers that allow the legislature to do what it deems necessary for public health and safety.
Why are you attacking everyone on here?

  5. Anonymous9:49 AM

    Super random but This.

"Always be careful of what you hear about a woman. Rumours either comes from a man that can't have her, wasn't good enough to keep her, or a woman who can't compete with her."

    1. Anonymous11:57 AM

Excuse me, did the clock just roll back to 1960?

    2. Anonymous11:58 AM

9:49 AM Or from a LIAR like you.

    3. Anonymous12:48 PM

@9:49 Home Schooling did not help you any.

    4. Anonymous3:23 PM

      9:49 - "Super random" - Hi, Alicia!

  6. Anonymous11:21 AM

I just had LEEP five days ago -- right before I lost my current health insurance. I'll be making a lot more trips to Planned Parenthood for all my follow-ups. I've visited them in the past and they have always been remarkably professional and helpful.

  7. Anonymous11:51 AM

    Cervical conization here.thankyou planned parenthood!

  8. Anonymous12:10 PM

This brave young lady is why I will continue to donate to Planned Parenthood monthly.

  9. Randall3:31 PM

    OK. Let's get real here...
Republicans don't give a shit about abortions (the lip service is to get them elected).
No, what Republicans really hate is SOCIALISM.
    Any, every form of socialism.
THAT is why they're always talking about tax cuts:
because taxes take money away from rich people and that money is used to provide "free" services for poor people and that's socialism and THAT is what Republicans hate. Hate. Hate.

Abortion? They don't give two shits about dead babies: they care about MONEY. THEIR money.

A lot of Planned Parenthood's money comes from the federal government and that means taxes and that means THEIR MONEY and THAT means socialism.

When a Republican tells you they want to de-fund Planned Parenthood because they're concerned about aborted babies they're either lying or they're stupid.

Actually, those two things aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, so very likely both.

    1. I don't agree. They really do want poor unwanted murican babies born. Just like they really want and need Mexican immigrants no matter what they say. They desire an army of marginally employed people to keep wages depressed.

The rest I agree with except to say that they really do enjoy trying to impose their will on people. Stupids included.

  10. Anonymous4:45 PM

I have Planned Parenthood to thank for a few serveces they provide, And I have ignorance in the guise of religion for losing a dear close friend,My case was a second opinion/ proper "stageing" of a metastasized lumpectomy. y work insurance said"it's rather early, possibly stage three, lets take a "wait and see" approach, Three days later, PP said "Stage 4" and the type was extremely aggressive. I went straight to the hospital and had surgery that day.
My friend died under similar circumstances. Her priest sided with the "wait and see" prognosis, no need for a second opinion, god;s will, and miracles happen with prayer, because she was two months pregnant. I attended her visitation and part of her funeral. Seeing the priest on the altar was too much for me to bear. I only hope she understood why I couldn't do it.

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
