A little perspective.

But remember according to Chairman Gowdy this is NOT political.

  1. OT:
It is not a signpost of a smooth-running Friday when, before the first pot coffee is finished to even sip, you glimpse a chart showing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" indicating 70% of Iowa Republicans give Ben Carson positive marks for his 'common sense.'

Agreed. But let the Repubs reap what they are sowing: the whole crop is a failure.

Proof positive that this is all a witch hunt - without a witch to be found. Why won't the media simply take these GOP ninnies in Congress down?

  3. Forget my earlier one; things improved within the hour as I sampled some of the comments at YouTube to various clips from the committee hearing yesterday. What could be sweeter than the whining and crying of butthurt 'baggers before the sun is even above the trees? :)

4:44 AM ??? Drunk all night? Loss of sleep??? There is nothing that Palin is good for. The results of her non-ability to manage a family have proven that. Track Menard-drug addict, Bristol Palin-bastard breeder, Willow Palin-bar hopping ex Colony girls gang member. Todd Palin-part time husband/Pimp.

When Obama was elected, many of us wanted hearings and investigations. We wanted the truth about 911, and why Rice thought important reports were "historical memos" and why more could not have been done to prevent the attacks, or minimize the casualties. We wanted investigations into the Wall Street Collapse, and why the big phone companies and others collaborated to hand over our private information to the government. But Obama was elected...wanted a fresh start, gave immunity to the corporations, forgave the banks,.....and we said no, investigations would cause division and cost a lot of money, and prevent our country from moving forward.

Republicans should have given us a big wet kiss for that. Instead, they gave us obstruction, and a witch hunt for Clinton. This is the second Clinton they witch-hunted, they really have a thing for the Clintons. Why she agreed to appear I'll never know. I would not have agreed, much less for 11 hours, which is just unabashed brutality.

What stuck in my craw was the cost of the Starr Report.which reaped exactly what these Benghazipalooza hearings have.

O/T and about Canada again but this is the last time.
Yesterday was the anniversary of our own little Benghazi. Where a drug addled Muslim attacked the Parliament building and killed the unarmed guard of our unknown soldier before being shot 30 times and dying.

The Conservative narrative was that our Sargent at Arms heroically ran to retrieve his pistol and took out the terrorist.
The truth was that they were warned a week before about a potential attack, then five days before and finally the DAY before. The "hero" did not fire the first of many fatal shots. And the security guard who wrestled with the gunman yelling "Gun!" "Gun!" was never to be mentioned again and his name isn't even on Wikki.
If this happened with Justin as our Prime Minister...Well you can guess. Which reminds me, our dear leader Stephen Harper hid in a closet for 2 hours that day!

  7. I think I know why they, Republicans, are trying so hard to damage Hillary. Read about "Moody's Election Model", that has predicted Democrats will win in 2016. Moody's has predicted, with 100% accuracy, all elections since 1980.

    1. It isn't difficult to predict Democrats will win given the clowns in the opposition car. No matter who the GOP crowns, they're sunk.

In the 11 hours ~ 9 of which I watched, only one answer I heard during that time was weak. When asked if she ever spoke to Chris Stevens, she faltered and said "I believe I did", however phone logs and emails showed no communication. The balance of the time, she threw every histrionic, played out, conspiratorial, twisted question back in their faces with grace, precision, intellect, and a touch of arrogance ~ which is her due. I heard the Donald say that he's looking forward to debating her because she's a washout. Of all the ignorant diatribes he's spewed these last months, this statement sits atop his "wall". Hopefully his trajectory off this perch will soon be downwards, preferably head first. He's losing ground in Iowa, so perhaps these polls (which he loves so much) are the first strains of the funeral dirge. Murdock is grooming Carson behind the scenes, and we don't have to watch "House of Cards", or "Scandal" to know that polls can be manipulated... I strongly doubt the GOP machine would allow Trump to become the nominee, and surely they MUST be embarrassed to see how ignorant their Republican constituents really are, with their fawning and drooling over an uneducated, misogynistic racist reality tv "star". I'm a Canadian and sorry to say this, but watching the American political process play out, is better than all 200 entertainment tv channels put together. Sarah is just the icing on the cake...

Do you realize how many American soap operas went off the air since $arah hit the scene?

It doesn't seem like a coincidence.

    2. LOL. Donald should fear debating Hillary. If he pulls any of that sexist insult crap on her he will both look bad and be squished like a bug by her.

But I doubt he'd get the chance. If the GOP knows what's good for them. Donald Trump won't be anywhere near their ticket.

And he *will* run as an Independent, pulling votes from the GOP, despite his promise that he wouldn't.

The US has 265 missions around the world that report to the state department. If the Secretary of State had just a 15 minute phone call with every one, it would take 8 straight days to just get through THAT.

I view the Secty of State job similar to the President. Does the President talk to everyone? No. He has people do that, and he also has to make room on his schedule for public appearances. The Secty of State is a very public person. That's why we heard from Rice and Powell so much. I don't recall any newscaster asking them..why are you on my show instead of calling your ambassadors?

Another thing that bothers me is that this is a diplomatic post. She's not head of the Armed Forces, she's not head of the CIA, she's not employed by the Pentagon, nor does she have an unlimited budget like the other two do.

The Republicans want to pin the whole thing on her, which to me, is not just partisan but completely illogical.

I watched the entire fiasco yesterday and thought Hillary should have told the Republicans on the panel to fuck off and die! She is one strong woman no doubt about it!

She has my vote for POTUS and I sincerely believe she'll be the winner!
