Rupert Murdoch claims that Ben Carson will be a "real black President." Does he mean in the same way that Fox News is "real journalism?"

Courtesy of HuffPo:

News Corporation CEO Rupert Murdoch might want to be a little more careful with his Twitter finger.

The media tycoon wrote that Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is "terrific" and asked: "What about a real black president who can properly address the racial divide?"

In a later tweet, Murdoch referred to a New York Magazine article about the disappointment the "minority community" has with President Barack Obama.

Yes I am sure that the black community is looking for a President Ben Carson to bring folks together.

You know the same guy who thinks prisons turn you gay, global warming is a myth, and that people who accept the teachings of Evolution lack morality.

Not only does Carson talk like a white dude, he talks like white dude fighting to remain conscious.

Later Murdoch made a half hearted attempt to walk it back.
Charming yes, but are they both REALLY black?

The truly humorous part is that Rupert Murdoch, whose cable news channel has been fanning the flames of racism for eight years now, would be the one to offer this gaffe.

I felt pity for the "real" black man and his wife today on CNN. They're pathetic.

The look on his face reminds me of Kevin O'Leary's TV personality. I want to punch them into oblivion or at least until he loses that stupid look.

Murdoch's comments are nothing more than a ploy I've seen many times over the decades -- reverse psychology. Trust me, he does NOT want Ben Carson as President.

To be perfectly honest, I expected the donkey down thread to mention this instead of what she did. He must not live up to her standards, whatever the hell those are. Oh yeah, he's black. It was good enough for her in a dorm room.

Obama's not slavey enough for those bastards. He's intelligent, educated, accomplished, charming and attractive too- all minuses.

America needs its first black retarded president, according to Mr Senility.

I suspect that 8pm struck a nerve in 8:51pm. I have wondered that myself.

Either way, by Ben Carson's logic, we should do away with prisons.

    3. There is no comparison. If you contribute to this blog, there is no pretense that the money is going anywhere but to the blog owner and his expenses in running the blog.

Unlike SarahPAC funds, which she pretends are being used to help elect conservatives but are actually being used to finance Palin's personal lifestyle, with only a pittance being contributed to candidates.

Thank God we have the REAL black man in the White House - President Obama!

I'm sick and tired of the bullshit that is constantly put out there against him. Ben Carson wishes he was as good a man as the one that currently resides in the White House.

Ben Carson will never win a damned thing politically!

I agree, President Obama is a real Black President, and a damn good one too.
You are right Carson will never win anything.

I doubt Carson would ever have run for president if not for the Democrats electing the first Black president in our history.
That is the same reason the unqualified Herman Cain ran for president, to try to upstage President Obama.

President Obama is not only a good man, he made sure he was VERY qualified to seek the highest office in the land, before he ran for office. He learned about our country, as well other countries and their heads of state.

Ben Carson knows nothing outside of the operating room.

OT...Huffpost has an article about Bristol's latest ghost written blog condemning birth control programs for teenagers. Palins don't really understand irony.

One of the commenters made me lol...Coming from the girl who is apparently "harder to pull out of than Iraq"...not gonna listen.

  11. Murdoch doesn't know f*ck about Black Americans being "disappointed" in PBO. PBO gets his greatest amount of support from us because we've experienced, and are still experiencing, what he is going through in dealing with the GOP/TPers. I know a lot of other black people, and not one of them has ever said to me that this president has "failed" them. Those who make this claim must think we're idiots. We've made it on our own since 1865 because we know we could not look for any president to "give" us something. Murdoch, Jeb, Romney, Carson, and the others who make this claim know they're lying, but they also know it's what their mostly white, mostly male, mostly working class supporters want to hear----that blacks, women, and other non-whites are "taking" ___ away from them, and it's the reason they can't get ahead in life. It's a form of stereotyping and scapegoating they employ to get their supporters to continue funding their lavish lifestyles, and it's one of the greatest cons in history. Their supporters may not believe it, but the majority of those receiving government assistance in the U.S. are not Persons of Color. After I graduated from the University of GA in 1974, I was never unemployed. I worked for 35 straight years before health issues, and my daughter, convinced me to retire. Murdoch can apologize 'til the cows come home, but I will never accept his apology. He meant what he tweeted. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have tweeted it in the first place. As for being good at choosing leaders, Murdoch is 0-1. He thought Tony Abbott was the "best" leader for Australia, but Abbott didn't stay in office for four full years. His own party members gave him the boot last month!

I just found out the best news! Males with DS are generally infertile! That means that Tri-G Palin hopefully will not be passing on gis defective genes as well as Palin dysfunction. I still think that he should have been aborted no matter who his mother is but since he wasn't, this is the next best thing to my tax dollars having to support him. I am fed up with Palins and the faster they go away, the better. Great news! Hoohah!

Well, I think there are enough female Palins to keep the line going. But its quite horrible to talk about a little boy who has done nothing to anyone, but be a little kid. That little kid may be the best of them all . . .

Ben Carson is no more qualified to be president than I am.

Just because you are 35 and a born citizen does not mean you can be president. It only means you meet the Constitution qualification.

Has he met even any head of state of another country? Does he know anything about the other many nations of he world?
Has he traveling to the other nations of the world to talk to their leaders? The answer to all is NO!
He is a surgeon NOT a politician.

Most of the Repubs in the running are not qualified, they know nothing about the world outside of their personal bubbles.

    And I agree with you.

  15. Right: its the responsibility of the Black community to fix the racial divide in America--which they caused by volunteering to be lynched and to work without pay, for so many years.

Murdoch is no different than Palin. Both of these bastards have made a great deal of money off the Presidency of Barack Obama, and need to show him some respect. Fucking hypocrites!

Anyone see the video of Trump at a speaking stop and the Columbian woman joins him on the stage? I had a flash of the movie Mr Deeds where Preston Blake, the rich and deceased uncle lusts for his office janitor.

I'm not sure Murdoch's whitesplaining could be more patronizing and abhorrent. When is he going to instruct us on which of our 43 white male presidents were 'real white'?

  21. Really? President Obama is not really black?

Then what the fuck have those yammering morons on fox been complaining about for the past 7 years? Because according to them, he is just as black as can be, what with being born in Kenya and all.

I'm a white female in her fifties and color isn't a qualification for me at all, but especially when voting. Carson simply isn't "presidential material" and, for a doctor who took the Hippocratic Oath, his views on guns is just untenable. Don't know what he's "on", but he can't complete a sentence without looking like he's channeling a mannequin with his eyes closed.

My sentiments exactly. Except my theory is simply age-related decline in mental faculties. How anyone sees him as Presidential material is beyond me.
