You know I don't usually believe in Karma, but.....

The locals are saying that they have never seen anything like this in South Carolina, and many of the residents do not have flood insurance.

Which means they are going to rely almost exclusively on Federal funds to help them recover.

You know, the same Federal funds that their own lawmakers voted against giving to those hit by Hurricane Sandy.

Also, one huge factor in the amount of damage is that SC spent almost nothing on the care of their dams, about 200,000 a year ( compared to their close neighbor that spent 2 million in NC).
Yeah for that "smaller government" that gives you no services! And now because of their irresponsibility the rest of the countries tax payers will have to pay.

I was, through one of these in 1986, and it really is unreal. And the amount of stuff that has to be trasheddue to mold and possible disease is devastating. But I'm sure the people of South Carolina have their guns and God, and have no reason to need that evil.federal government, right guys?

Five of the state's six U.S. House members and both U.S. senators voted against an aid package for northeastern states after Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

Even South Carolina’s lone Democrat, Jim Clyburn, recorded a no vote in the House. Ironically, the only South Carolinian to vote for Sandy relief was Republican Tom Rice of Myrtle Beach — who likely understands the value of providing disaster relief.

Unfortunately the rural and upstate voters ruin it for us normal, non-crazy South Carolinians. Columbia, one of the hardest hit by the flood, went for Obama both times and has an African-American democrat as a mayor. Yet, due to gerrymandering, Joe Wilson is my congressman. Sigh.

Let's pretend Trump is president and cut them an artful deal: grant their secessionist desires and tell them to fly their loser battle flag high and proud everywhere and anywhere and as much as they want...and see if we can get the door to hit 'em in the ass on the way out.

Obviously this disaster is the result of the evil dictator, tyrant, wimp, Obama using weather weapons to attack SC in an attempt to take over the state.

This news bears repeating as what the traitor Obama and his minions have unconscionably been allowed to do to our military in time of war by a like-minded Congress of traitors cries out for prosecution to the full extent of the law with the commensurate penalty.

As a Vietnam War Navy Veteran, If unilaterally disarming our military both materially and morally is NOT TREASON, per Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution in giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war, then I don't know what is!

We're talking about the mother-of-all-morale destroyers that is giving the green light to all of a free America's, and by extension, a free world's enemies, to strike while the iron is hot because the diabolic Obama has been the undeniable LEADER of those enemies since the beginning of his Manchurian presidency in being a puppet of the Elite, in their warped minds, New World Order Globalist controllers who need to reduce an America under God to ashes by transforming her into an America under the devil to achieve their nefarious goal of world domination deciding who will live and who will die at their diabolic whim, read the whim of their master straight from the bowels of hell!

I married a Vietnam Navy vet and he never says anything about it. It was a loooong time ago, but that idiot obviously never got past it. Certainly he is an old man, and possibly senile if he hangs around Sarah Palin... an old white guy whose only claim to fame is war service generations ago where he wasn't even in the Army, let alone the infantry. My husband avoids people like him.

I was in the Navy during the Vietnam War. I never say anything remotely like that idiot did. I was a Vietnam ERA vet. Period. I, along with thousands of others don't claim to be Vietnam vets because we never set foot over there. My brother served 13 months there. HE could claim to be a Vietnam Vet - if he were still alive.

At least, that's the way a LOT of my veteran friends see it!

He doesn't say " cold war navy nuclear spy sub vet"
      Lmao!
      He just says vet.

  14. I suspect it is only going to get worse. As in Florida underwater next--the state where noone is allowed to utter the words "climate change."
My question is more along the lines of "Don't these people have any shame? Any sense of what they've done? A modicum of regret?????"

Yes, you can. In fact, many branches of Buddhism are non-theistic. The word "karma" just means "cause and effect."

Or, in the sixties' fairly bastardized version, what goes around comes around.

Complaint Filed Against 23 House Republicans For Illegal Agreement To Misuse Taxpayer Funds

A complaint has been filed against 23 House Republicans who are accused of entering into an illegal agreement to misuse taxpayer funds for political purposes.

The American Democracy Legal Fund (ADLF) has filed a complaint with the House Office of Congressional Ethics that accuses 23 House Republicans of violating federal law (31 U.S.C. § 1301) by using official government resources for political purposes.

The 23 House Republicans are Reps. Stephen Knight, Barbara Comstock, Rodney Davis, Jeff Denham, Dan Benishek, Tim Walberg, Martha McSally, David Valadao, Mike Coffman, Carlos Curbelo, David Young, Bob Dold, Mike Bost, Bruce Poliquin, Frank Guinta, Cresent Hardy, Lee Zeldin, John Katko, Will Hurd, Ryan Costello, Elise Stefanik, Daniel Donovan and Mike Bishop.

According to a statement from the ADLF, “These Members violated these rules by entering into the “Patriot Program Contract 2015,” a contract with the National Republican Congressional Committee agreeing to provide details of the Members’ legislative strategy, including a “detailed finance plan and budget,” in exchange for “special attention” and “campaign cash.” The intent of the contract is for Members to use the official resources available to them to coordinate and detail their legislative strategies and plans with the NRCC.”

When I move, I open my eyes. Who buys land downstream from 22 dams? Anyway, she's got a beg a thon with photos of her ruined singer sewing machine etc etc.
I'm not a heartless biitch, i accepted her friend request.
