Here’s the full exchange with O’Reilly:
O’Reilly: This bothered me, I gotta tell ya. You tweeted out that whites killed by blacks — these are statistics you picked out from somewhere — at a rate of 81 percent. And that’s totally wrong. Whites killed by blacks is 15 percent, yet you tweeted it was 81 percent. Now …
Trump: Bill, I didn’t tweet, I retweeted somebody that was supposedly an expert, and it was also a radio show.
O’Reilly: Yeah, but you don’t wanna be. … Why do you want to be in that zone?
Trump: Hey, Bill, Bill, am I gonna check every statistic? I get millions and millions of people, @RealDonaldTrump, by the way.
O’Reilly: You gotta, you’re a presidential contender, you gotta check ’em.
Trump: I have millions of people. You know what? Fine. But this came out of radio shows and everything else.
O’Reilly: Oh, come on, radio shows?
Trump: Excuse me. All it was, was a retweet.
Yeah it's just a retweet.
I mean who expects THOSE to be accurate?
This is your front runner GOP.
Aren't you proud?
Of course, per Trump, he has the best memory in the world. You'd think he would know what the correct statistics are with that memory and all.
ReplyDeleteTrump: Hey, Bill, Bill, am I gonna check every statistic? I get millions and millions of people, @RealDonaldTrump, by the way.

Hey Bill do think Donnie should thoroughly vet Sarah Palin before giving her all these accolades and offering to add her to his cabinet?
Why vet Miss Wasilla beauty pageant contestant
DeleteIf I were Donald Trump I would distance myself from her. I don't care how hard she kisses my ass
DeleteThey are too close 923. Turkey at Trump Tower, or where Melania does her cooking for the family, will be a sight. Fun to see Sarah's decor with ballons this year. Who will be there? Track, Sailor? Todd is probably contracted to appear.
DeleteIt won't take Trump long to figure PALIN out IF he hasn't already! I personally think he is already just using her....she can carry 'some' votes for him ya know!!!

First, Donald isn't going to get the nomination no matter how the votes go. He won't be the GOP nominee.
So, if he's on the ticket it will be as an independent. He'll do like all before him and draw just enough votes away from the Republicans to ensure a Democratic win.
Second, let's say by some miracle the entire field is eliminated by a meteor or something and Donald is on the GOP ticket. He will have alienated enough Republicans that they will either stay home or hold their noses and vote for whoever is on the Democratic ticket, even if it is Hillary Clinton, who they hate with a passion.
Lastly, the longer Trump, Carson, Cruz, Rubio and the rest of the rabid right nutjobs stay in the race and spew their toxin, the more they will alienate the independents who will then go vote Democratic as aa 'at least their not Republican' or 'anyone but them' vote. Independents are the key. And many are Independent because they are moderates. And the rhetoric coming out of the candidates now is a big turn off for moderates.
The number of voters that support Trump are about the same as the number that think NASA faked the moon landing. (6%-8%)
Not everyone who is polled actually goes on to vote.

Apparently, he doesn't understand that he only has to check the ONE that he re-tweeted, not the millions that he sees. He had ONE job and he fecked it up.
DeleteI wonder what the clinical diagnosis is for someone who thinks that it doesn't matter if they spread harmful lies because "I've got millions of people"?
ReplyDeleteSO... as long as you've got a following, you're morally free from any ethical responsibility for what you say? Seems like the opposite should be true, shouldn't it? I guess not if you are morally and ethically bankrupt to begin with...

DeleteHe's such an egotistical maniac....cannot think of a nice word to say about the bully!
He'll never be elected POTUS!
And his botoxed ,plastic headed wife is a Ditz.
DeleteWhy, yes. According to Republicans if you have a million followers you have a MANDATE. It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong. Your followers support whatever it is you said/did. Whether it's right or wrong has nothing to do with it. It's popular.
DeleteIf they had their way they'd vote for gravity. If it lost, there is no gravity. They'd explain why we didn't all float away by claiming "god glue" or something ridiculous.
This is why Donald Trump is winning: Paranoia brings out the worst in us — and minorities always suffer

He can pass a polygraph because he believes his own hype. "Wallah, I'm telling the truth." Arabic: Wallah by Allah.
There are ways he can believe and may have seen something to tell himself he was watching people. He may have spy equipment. He did write he was at his apartment before, Melanie should be asked if she was there, ha!
we all saw this happen - it was on television. maybe he gets confused between what he actually witnessed and what he saw on the news?

I'm beginning to think that Trump is a closet KKK sympathizer.
ReplyDelete*seriously*
I doubt Trump is a member of ANY organization. Because he would need to be the high muck muck grand poobah of the entire thing. He is not one to be a "member"; he has to be the one in charge.
DeleteEvery photo or video you see of Trump, he comes across as being pissed and ready to pounce!
ReplyDeleteHe is the exact opposite of what the USA needs as their leader in 2016. I don't give a crud how much money he has or is worth! He is just unappealing in looks and personality.
Can you imagine him negotiating with other world leaders? President Obama assuredly could give him some lessons as to kindness, respect, negotiating and leadership!
Trump thinks his shit doesn't stink! It's very difficult for me imaging what it would be like working in an office with him. I'm sure I'd fire his ass!
Sarah cancelled her Naperville book signing - Dec 1. Apparently, she couldn't sell enough tickets to make it worth her time (and effort). It would appear that people just aren't interested in her devotionals...
ReplyDeleteTrue to Sarah being Sarah the Quitter.
DeleteWhere is she now? Staging the garage for the big event?
The "quitter" quits AGAIN. She is so predictable.
DeleteWhy would someone buy a ticket in order to get a signature on a book you still have to buy?
DeleteIf I buy a book, the author usually signs it for free. As a thank you for buying their book and not checking it out of the library or waiting to buy it used (for which they get no royalties.)
I have plenty of signed books. I didn't pay for any autographs by having to buy a ticket.
And they are bigger names than her.
She is so full of herself.
Palin cancelled one of her book signings we all saw that coming right? Qiutters are going to quit.Someone at C4P bought tickets and is so disappointed! They wonder if it's because Bristol is having her baby sooner than expected...gee maybe it's because her book tour is a real flop.

MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell tore into television journalists on Tuesday for not calling Donald Trump a liar when he makes false claims on their programs.
ReplyDelete"Donald Trump lies because he knows he can get away with it," O'Donnell said on "The Last Word," highlighting the interviewing techniques of anchors on Sunday morning news programs. "The most impolite candidate in American political history relies on the politeness of his interviewers to get away with lying."
O'Donnell then showed a clip of ABC News' "This Week" in which host George Stephanopoulos pressed Trump over his claims that he saw "thousands and thousands" of Arabs cheering in New Jersey after the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11, but fell just short of calling Trump's assertion a lie.
"Donald Trump knows that George can't tell his audience that Trump is lying there, because the industry convention of Sunday political chat is that they never call a lie a lie," O'Donnell said. "That's just too impolite for Sunday mornings and Trump exploits that politeness."
Politeness isn't the only reason interviewers go easy on Trump, he added.

I've long said Democrats need to stop being so polite. That would go toward anyone that wants to have themselves considered a journalist by profession. Stop being so polite and when you have the facts to back yourself up, call that liar a liar. If Maddow, Stewart, Colbert, etc. can do it, seems to me others could too. No matter what time of day or day of the week. Even Sunday mornings.
DeleteTHE GROWING ugliness of Donald Trump’s campaign poses a challenge to us all. We have seen the likes of him before, in the United States and elsewhere: narcissistic bullies who rise to prominence by spreading lies, appealing to fears and stoking hatred. Such people are dangerous.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/republicans-need-to-stand-up-to-trumps-bullying/2015/11/23/95f3e5b4-9203-11e5-b5e4-279b4501e8a6_story.html
In the Republican field, Mr. Trump has distinguished himself as fastest to dive to the bottom. If it’s a lie too vile to utter aloud, count on Mr. Trump to say it, often. It wins him airtime, and retweets through the roof.
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/24/opinion/mr-trumps-applause-lies.html?ref=international
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Delete“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over”

Trump Campaign Restricts Reporters Covering What Happens Off Stage
ReplyDeleteRules come amid increasing tensions, and even violence, at rallies.
Donald Trump's campaign severely restricted journalists' movements Tuesday night in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, by keeping them in a press pen -- even apparently after the event ended -- and requiring them to have an escort when going to the bathroom.
NBC News reporter Katy Tur tweeted that members of the media were told they couldn't leave the designated press area, often described as a pen, "while Trump is in the room." She added that this restriction is "now official policy that the secret service is enforcing."

They should be thankful they aren't being required to wear an armband, have their wrists tattooed and stay in re-education camps.
DeleteJust give Trump time.
This is to typical, especially of the Republican Party. It makes great print so why bother to check the facts. Hey, I got more followers so they obviously don't care if what I say is true or not.
ReplyDeleteAnd what happens when we question this doofus? We get dismissed, belittled or attacked.
I really don't see the draw of this clown. Well, I do, but by a certain segment of the population. Personally, I don't understand the need to pander to the shady 80 mouth breathing knuckle draggers. They don't make up a significant portion of the population and you lose more voters than you gain with this sort of heinous grandstanding.
No, Donald, you silly assed oompa loompa. No body expects you to fact check "millions of tweets". We expect you to fact check the ONE tweet that you re-tweeted. That's right. You had ONE job. And you fecked it up. You are, as you like to say. a loser.
