Hillary Clinton's popularity among Democrats surges well ahead of Bernie Sanders.

Courtesy of US News:

Democrats are really, really starting to like Hillary Clinton.

The front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination has seen her net favorable rating jump 14 points among Democrats and those who lean to the left since the first Democratic debate in October, while her top competitor – Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont – has seen his own rating stay fairly stagnant, according to Gallup polling released this week. Both candidates, along with former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley, will take the stage again Saturday in Iowa for the second official debate of the Democratic primary.

According to Gallup, Clinton now has a 63 percent net favorable rating among those on the left, up from 49 percent just before the debate. Her current tally is her highest since Gallup began tracking views of the candidates in July.

It looks like Hillary is on track to finally live up to the inevitable candidate label that failed her back in 2008.

As much as I like Bernie, he is no Barack Obama.

I expect the attacks to ramp up against Hillary, from both the left AND the right, but ultimately I think we already know who will be representing the Democrats in the general election of 2016.

I don't agree with Hillary on every single issue, and I have been reluctant to endorse her. BUT I believe she has a better chance of winning this thing, and that is what we want, is for the Democrats to keep the White House. SO I am finally on board with Hillary.
LETS DO THIS, PEOPLE.... LETS KEEP THE WHITE HOUSE! And hopefully take back the Senate and the House.
We have to make sure we get Democrats registered and ready to vote. We can do this again like we did in 2008 and 2012.

Let me guess, post menopausal, white hair cut short, glasses, plump, Subaru or Prius, spent years gabbing and socializing as a church volunteer while your husband worked his ass off his whole life, only to heart attack 3 years after retiring.

I hope you are right. I don't agree with Hillary on every single issue but she is a great candidate and I believe she'll do a great job as President. I feel she is the best candidate to carry on the good work that President Obama has begun. We are lucky as a nation to have them both as strong leaders.

To be frank, Bernie is just too old. And instead of talking about issues that affect all Americans he has spent too much time on the marijuana issue.

There's only 6 years difference between Bernie and Hillary. I wish we had a couple of young contenders like Raul Castro and Harold Ford, but we don't and a 6 year age difference isn't what you're trying to make it to be.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous3:43 PM

6 yrs age difference is very much an issue at that age. Bernie looks to be a one termer and I would rather have a two term president.

Bernie is not too old and after the last debate when they were shaking hands with the crowd, Bernie moved around much better than Hillary and she looked old and stiff. Come on....Bernie walks everywhere and is in much better shape than Hillary.
Now for the other ignorant comment that he has spent more time talking about marijuana is ludicrous. he has spent more time talking about the things that have greatly impacted our economy and the middle class than Hillary has even given thought. Hillary does not want to reinstate Glass-Stegal Act which would regulate wall street and prevent another almost collapse of our economy. She is a moderate republican and she will do nothing but support the TTP and big banks. She may very well win but not because she is the best candidate but because we have a very ignorant electorate in the democratic party.
It is truly depressing that the one time that we have the opportunity to move this country to a place of a social democracy, to make the middle class stronger than those who rule us.....we are going to be militantly ignorant and elect a moderate republican who is untrustworthy, lies, and feels entitled to be pres. Her campaign hires trolls to hit Sander's posts....she is a sad commentary on the democrats. It is going to push me back to the independents and I will not vote for her regardless....I will write Bernie's name in....I will stand true to the principles I believe in and if she or a republican wins, I am moving out of the country. We can afford to and will. I refuse to hang around and see what will happen to the promise we had and screwed.

This however could be a problem.....there is so much smoke and given the wierd marriages of both there has to be some truth to this. Personally, I don't care, but the attacks on Clinton will just keep getting worse and this is likely to come out.

From Crazy Days and Nights today:

    October 10, 2015

What presidential candidate’s more than close friends relationship with her former aide will be inferred in several media outlets in the next coming months? Some tabloids overseas have been more ballsy and hinting that both ladies are in open marriages with their husbands which explains a lot.

It's only November 2015. I don't make any decisions until the actual party primaries when I find out who will be the nominee of both parties. I know it's a crapfest of gossip fun right now, but the real battle doesn't begin for another 10 months. I can't follow these extended election cycles with any sort of mental dedication. At most I have 6 weeks to make a decision and all of this happening right now is just noise. Just one person's opinion and I love the "wow" factor of the early polls and the wasted debates, but really it comes down to 6 weeks when all the money is spent and all of the truth comes out.

The media is deftly in Clintons camp, But I am in the pits of hell bible belt southeastern US and among this electorate Bernie is heads and shoulders above Hillary, They were recently slated to be in three places at the same time over two days , Hillary drew about 5K supporters Bernie had sellout crowds, It is just a fact, America's powerbrokers want Hillary to win the nomination and to that end they are telling everybody that will listen that she is up in the polls more popular and a shoe in for the nod, But the real power brokers " The Voting public " are saying something quite different, If Hillary wins the nod we'll all get behind her, But she has to win first and my vote for one is going to Bernie Sanders : ) FEEL THE BERN : )

Trump is still killing the game among Republicans. I think Bernie is doing better than the corporate media polls will ever tell you. Let the voting begin.

I think Hillary is one of those women that actually grow into their features as they age, I went to school with someone like that. She was almost homely and yet it seems every year older on the north side of 50 she looks better and better.

I cannot believe that Rubio is rising in the polls. I think Trump is leading as is Mrs. Clinton. Carly would be the last person I would expect to see rising - she comes across as one mean, bitch. Doesn't smile easily and doesn't have a warm personality!

The polls - media - large corporations, etc. are playing games with Americans! Simple as that!

At this point, and it's still early, I'll vote for ANY democratic candidate who matches my bucket list of "must haves" for platforms. O'Mally might as well hang it up now, but both Bernie and Hillary have a fifty percent chance at getting this woman's vote.

  17. I am voting for the Democratic nominee. Period. End of discussion.

If whoever I am voting for lists "independent" I will look that person up on the internet and find out what groups support him, and what people are saying about him. (We used to have supporting organizations listed in the voter's pamphlet but they've stopped doing that.) For any state legislation, I will look it up, again, and see who is saying what, in addition to reading what the pamphlet says.

Have you noticed that the pamphlets we all receive in the mail as to the candidates no longer reflect the party to which the candidates are affiliated?

You have to do your homework if you are not following things closely. I pulled each of the candidates up individually on my computer and got all the info needed prior to going to the polls.
