The return of the Graveyard of the Gods at the University of Wisconsin. A Halloween tradition.

As they do every year, the Atheists, Humanists, and Agnostics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison put together a fantastic “Graveyard of the Gods,” reminding students of all the deities who were worshiped, believed in, and eventually forgotten.

The purpose is to get students thinking about when their God will join the ranks of the dead.

I hear there are still plots open for any new additions.

How about helping these creative students add a little wit to their cemetery? Contact them and request they add a few Chinese and Japanese Emperors, who are considered to be gods. I'd recommend this to them myself, but I'm not an alum. The contact information can be found here:

I'm an Asian, btw, who is merely demanding equal representation.

Just curious--should your thanks be in past tense? 'Arigato gozaimasu,' instead of the 'arigato gozaimashita' written above?

Art is a window washer! (You have to have gone there -- during the right time -- to know... :-D)

    Same here, Snoid.

They didn't do this back, a thousand years ago, when I attended, but there was always something going on.

I always remember this episode of Star Trek. Even though I was quite small, it struck something in me. The episode where Apollo dies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sXJgdx8Lsg

Love the god graveyard, who could take offence at tombstones for fictional beings?
