Franklin Graham has quit the Republican party because they are funding Planned Parenthood. How long do you think it will take them to notice?

"That's it I'm out of here unless they beg me to stay. Hey, isn't anybody going to beg me?"
Courtesy of the Facebook:

Shame on the Republicans and the Democrats for passing such a wasteful spending bill last week. And to top it off, funding Planned Parenthood! A Huffington Post article called it “a big win for Planned Parenthood.” I call it a big loss for America. After all of the appalling facts revealed this year about Planned Parenthood, our representatives in Washington had a chance to put a stop to this, but they didn’t. There’s no question—taxpayers should not be paying for abortions! Abortion is murder in God’s eyes. Seeing and hearing Planned Parenthood talk nonchalantly about selling baby parts from aborted fetuses with utter disregard for human life is reminiscent of Joseph Mengele and the Nazi concentration camps! That should’ve been all that was needed to turn off the faucet for their funding. Nothing was done to trim this 2,000 page, $1.1 trillion budget. This is an example of why I have resigned from the Republican Party and declared myself Independent. I have no hope in the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or Tea Party to do what is best for America. Unless more godly men and women get in this process and change this wicked system, our country is in for trouble. I want to challenge Christians, even pastors, across the country to pray about running for office where they can have an impact. We need mayors, country commissioners, city council members, school board members who will uphold biblical values.

Well now that is quite a rant.

Look, he even invoked Nazism.

Sadly for Graham I seriously doubt that anybody gives a shit.

The Republican party is dying, so obviously the first ones off the ship are the rats.

This is great news, for democrats!
Do you think Franklin will actually support nonrepublicans in elections?
    Here's to hoping...

"Abortion is murder in God's eyes" ...actually... if he'd actually paid attention to his bible, he'd know that abortion is basically a traffic fine in God's eyes, not even a misdemeanor. I think it costs one goat.

But the Bible IS clear about the worst sin you can commit. What was it again? Oh yeah, that thing where you replace god's words with your own. BLASPHEMY.

No surprise here, but Graham is using lies to promote theocracy. By law, taxpayers do not pay for abortion, even at PP. Graham knows this, but since the truth does not advance his cause (and his income), lies will have to do.

The Hyde Amendment (prohibiting use of federal funds for abortion) does make exceptions for incest, rape, and the life of the mother.

He does not even have a degree in theology. He just took over the family business. I can understand why he felt the need to buy himself a private jet, going overseas to preach to poor people. Here in the US most people see him for the hypocrite that he really is. ALL these religious organizations need to be audited. Nothing but money making schemes, from ignorant people.

The majority in America are not anti abortions and I say thank you! There is a proven need for the procedure!

What is more important is that Graham suddenly became very vocal in political issues since President Obama took Office. PP was in operation before Obama, bio-tech labs and research centers were in operation, researching DNA, learning how to use donated organs to save lives, and Franklin, might I add, doing invitro-fertilization (a thing that might offend the creator). This has been going on for years.

Personally of course, the idea of selling unborn baby parts is disturbing. Yet, if the donor (mother) chooses to give tissue or organs so that other babies can live, there can be a silver lining to this whole discussion that Graham refuses to discuss. He never complained about dead body parts used as transplants to save others. Does Graham not think that business talk doesn't happen when human tissue is being passed on through the system???

This whole thing has always been about self-professed christian racists wanting to blame President Obama for every perceived sin and slight that they draw from the bible, so they can justify their own sin greed and power) and feel self-righteous. They knew there is a tissue/organ market out there, and never blinked an eye under the Bush Administration. What is so pointed is Graham and cronies using this issue to separate from a Party (GOP) that enabled, pampered and remained silent with them from
the start, in 2008. The old Republican Party is feeling the wrath of illogical unreasonable teaparty/independent spirit, that is frightening. And they know it, they screwed the pooch on this one.

It appears that this commenter has swallowed the doctored videos hook, line, and sinker. "Selling", "business talk", "market". No. The only money that Planned Parenthood ever asked for or received was reimbursement for expenses incurred in preserving, transferring, and delivering donated body parts to researchers. As I understand it, they now forgo reimbursement in the face of lies about selling, business talk, and tissue/organ markets that are being spread, even by this commenter.

7:14: Are you at all familiar with the mammalian birth process? After the baby (human, horse, elephat, dog, cat) is born, the sac in which the little critter has developed is expelled from the birth canal -- along with the remainder of the umbilical cord, blood, and lots of other fetal-related tissue. In some cases it takes several minutes for the placenta to emerge.

I'm an EMT and have delivered six babies on living room sofas, in the bed of a pickup truck, and on the ground of a parking lot. After we get the kid taken care of, one of us starts to massage the mother's abdomen to help the placenta emerge. Our OB kits contain a big plastic "zip-loc" bag into which we place the placenta, which we deliver to the hospital.

The placenta is examined for signs of abnormalities, after which, in most cases, the placenta and accompanying tissue is donated for fetal tissue research.

You see, fetal tissue contains stem cells. These cells can be made to turn into the calls of various part of the body as well as being used to develop and produce vaccines.

In the case of a miscarriage or abortion (remember, a miscarriage is a natural abortion), the body of the fetus can be used for stem cell donation IF THE PARENT(S) APPROVE.

No one is "selling baby parts."

I thought that there was a separation of state and religion in this country. Get over it, Franklin, abortion is legal in the United States. The solution, for men and boys, is not to get women pregnant or, at least, to support them once they are pregnant and want to keep the baby. Oh, and it would be a good idea, Franklin, to support universal health care.

I wonder if people like graham actually have read the bible if they have and actually believe it to be true then surely they would know the god they worship is the biggest mass murderer and aborter in the history of the world. If you believe in the great flood that killed everything except for noah and family that means you believe that god killed little babies that were just born, pregnant women with their fetus and a lot of other innocent people. They love that god but hate PP go figure.

    Here's a Franklin Graham story.

He is Billy Graham's son. Young Franklin took up with loose women, demon rum, and various controlled substances. At some point, he recognized that, if he became "born again" and was "washed in the saving blood of Jesus," he stood to inherit his father's "evangelistic" enterprise, which is worth a few zillion $$$ and which brings in lots of revenue. So he had a Damascus Road experience and is now the head of the Graham family enterprise.

If the Presbyterian Church canonized people as saints, my mother would be one. She was a big fan of Billy Graham. She was active in church outreach activities in Knoxville, TN, where she lived for over 50 years from 1951 when we moved to E TN from Mississippi.

In mid-2006 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a few months to live. Meanwhile, a group of churches in Knoxville invited the Graham's to bring their traveling road show to Knoxville. My mother was part of the committee planning the affair.

The Graham crowd sent their demands: (1) raise $150,000 for them; (2) lots and lots of hotel suites with 24-hr room service; (3) several limos on call 24-hrs a day; (4) specific brands of water and snacks; (5) all sorts of other perks normally associated with rock stars and all paid for by the locals IN ADDITION TO the $150,000 fee.

My mother became so distraught at these demands she quit the community evangelism organization she had helped found 40 years earlier. Her will included a 6-figure bequest to the Graham's. She re-wrote the will, giving the bequest to a local women's shelter. She died very disgusted with the Graham's.

I -- a VERY lapsed Baptist -- wouldn't piss on Franklin Graham if he were on fire.

Poor Fella, woke up constipated and is taking on the baby killers. I never was into "dead baby jokes", but bringing up Mengela and the Nazi's was a bit over the line for a preacher's son. He's not an orator like his pappy.
Can't wait till the Republican's notice and schlong him. Sad to say, but his father being senile is a blessing in a way. Having a grown son fall to the floor, flailing his arms and legs in the heat of a temper tantrum is just embarrassing. Franklin, my dear, I don't give a damn!!!
