GOP presidential candidate George Pataki declares war on religion. Well on one religion in particular.

How does one define "radical" exactly? And then, assuming one could accomplish that, how do we declare war on that religion exactly?

Apparently what got Pataki's panties in a twist was this comment from Loretta Lynch on Thursday:

Now obviously this is a country that is based on free speech, but when it edges towards violence, when we see the potential for someone to lift — lifting that mantle of anti-Muslim rhetoric or, as we saw after 9/11, violence against individuals who may not even be Muslims but may be perceived to be Muslims and they will suffer just as well, just as much. When we see that, we will take action….

Since 9/11, we’ve had over a thousand investigations into acts of anti-Muslim hatred, including rhetoric and bigoted actions, with over 45 prosecutions arising out of that….

I think it’s important, however, that as we again talk about the importance of free speech we make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not America they are not who were they are not what we do and they will be prosecuted, so I want that message to be clear also.

Now what Lynch was clearly talking about was the aggressive anti-Muslim rhetoric, and even attacks against Muslims in this country, in response to the Paris attacks and of course the more recent San Bernardino shootings.

And her contention is that it is irresponsible to inflame citizens of this country to take the law into their own hands, instead of reporting their concerns to the proper authorities.

And obviously that is the sober and responsible approach.

Clearly the fact that Pataki is now polling at right around zero, has caused him to become desperate enough to say ANYTHING to get his name recognition up out of the "Nobody fucking knows you" category.

Gee I imagine that if somebody reads that tweet and then kills himself some Muslims, that Pataki will no longer have to worry about nobody knowing who he is.

Idiot!

I am starting to think a big ole religious war might be a good thing. Let them all fight it out to the very last one of them. Just let us non-believers go sit it out, preferably some place with a nice climate. World would be a better, friendlier place.

Pataki is taking the GOP advice. Start talking like Trump. Out crazy the crazy guy. Obviously, Pataki is desperate and thinks he has nothing to lose.

The GOP advice to their poorly polling candidates is so ignorant. The only reason Trump is polling well is the fact that he isn't "tainted" by the Beltway AND the remaining GOP candidates are such losers. What a pathetic party - Reince Preibus hasn't said much recently about the deep field of GOP candidates. Even he sees the writing on the wall.

Yeah, Pataki, let's just send more innocent men and women into your damn wars, disrupt families forever, and for what? You enlist your kids and grand kids first front lines and then we'll talk.

Say what? Like every other politician? "Not mine, YOURS."

Are we supposed to be shocked and saddened when "they" kill us first, or when they "take out OUR families"? I didn't hear any outcry against stupid white Southern boys after Charleston. The only hate directed at the loony Planned Parenthood shooter was a bunch of misinformation from Ted My Dad Fought For Fidel Cruz-that he was registered as a woman and he was transgender. I am by no means saying that terrorism or ISIS is alright, but when all you hear is how warped you are, and how you should be rounded up or killed-even when you were born here-I don't know....could it piss you off? Could it scare you into doing stuff you'd never considered doing? Kids are growing up in Pakistan afraid to go outside because they're afraid of drones. All hate is doing is making us less safe, and nobody seems to get it. I'm pretty damn old, and I have never known people in this country to be so stupid. It's embarrassing, and it's dangerous.

Christian university president urges students to carry guns and ‘end those Muslims before they kill us’

The president of a Christian university encouraged his students to get concealed firearm permits so they could prevent the next mass shooting from happening there.

Jerry Falwell, Jr., head of Liberty University, a Christian school in Virginia, invoked the mass shooting this week at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California. Fourteen people were killed and 21 were injured in the attack, which was carried out by a husband and wife who claimed loyalty to the Islamic State.

Falwell criticized President Obama for urging gun control in the wake of recent shootings, and made it clear he was armed during his speech at a convocation Friday night.

“It just blows my mind when I see the President of the United States say that the answer to [San Bernardino] is more gun control,” Falwell said. “If some of those people in that community center had had what I’ve got in my back pocket right now…”

He encouraged people to carry guns so they could ” end those Muslims before they walk in and kill us,” Falwell said.

He then said the university offers a free course to help get a concealed carry permit.

“I just wanted to take this opportunity to encourage all of you to get your permit. We offer a free course. Let’s teach them a lesson if they ever show up here,” he said.

The Westboro Baptist Church has spewed hate for many years. Inciting violence seems to be part of Christian religions also, too!! Falwell is a crackpot, telling students to arm themselves. Imagine how many more people would have lost their lives if they all pulled out guns and started shooting. The gop clown car is filled with brainless idiots, not fit to take over from President Obama. I have ZERO respect for any of them. The rest of the world is looking on in horror. What shitty examples of "leadership" there is in the gop party.

Without evidence, Donald Trump accuses CA shooter’s family of knowing about it in advance

...“The way the mother was in the apartment — they’ve got all sorts of bombs, pipe bombs, all sorts of crap all over the apartment, the mother didn’t know,” Trump said sarcastically, before suggesting that the attackers weren’t stopped beforehand because they weren’t racially profiled by Democrats.

“I watched the sister of the guy last night on television,” Trump continued. “And I’m pretty good at this stuff. I watched her, she had the veil, the whole thing. And she’s talking about the brother… I thought she was lying so much. I’m good at this. I thought she was a total liar. She lied about him… She knew. A lot of other people knew too.”

A Florida man taken into custody for vandalizing a Palm Beach Islamic center, has a Facebook page containing posts attacking Muslims, with other photos showing him admiring guns, saying: “That AR-15 will put down any radical Islamic!! I wish they would!!!”

Acting on a tip, North Palm Beach Police arrested 27-year-old Joshua Warren Killets who confessed to detectives after being taken into custody, the Sun Sentinel reports.

Members of the Islamic Center of Palm Beach discovered the damage early Friday morning, with over a dozen windows smashed out and blood on the scene. Security cameras caught footage of the vandal carrying a tire iron, as well as video of an SUV leaving the scene.

While police did not release any details of his confession or motive, a perusal of his Facebook page shows a deeply-held belief in Christianity combined with hatred for Muslims and refugees.

In one photo, Killets can be seen holding a AR15 assault rifle next to a comment saying it would “take down any radical Islamic.”

    Report: Terrorism Is Working…On Republicans

If you’re a terrorist, your objective is simple: Incite fear among people by using horrific tactics that shed lots of blood and take innocent lives. Make people afraid to live their lives; give them a reason to hate and fear each other and you’ve done your job.

Never has the success of terrorism been more apparent than it is with the common American conservative. Americans in general have been wary of radicalized Islamic juhadists for decades, but since the attacks of September 11, 2001, conservatives have found a common bond in fear.

  17. I wonder what kind of collective self-delusion is required of a family living with such a guy? It's way past time that people stop attending these Churches that spread hate as to our government. There are ministers doing it from their pulpits! (We have one in particular that has done it for years in Anchorage, AK and I don't think I need to name names!)

Whatever happened to keeping Church and State separate?

I am beginning to think the only way we will have a ban on assault rifles in this country is if the terrorists-domestic or foreign take out a republican senator/candidate or the president of the NRA.

Certainly 355 mass shootings in one year hasn't enlightened them one bit. They voted to allow people on the no fly list the ability to buy guns- so obviously they could care less about the security of Americans.
