Just a reminder that Sarah Palin will be signing copies of her new book at a gun club just eight days after one mass shooting, and three days after another.

Courtesy of KHTS:

Palin will be at the gun club from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. signing books and taking pictures with people who attend. Though no personal photography will be allowed as a free professional photographer will be at the event.

Her new book titled ‘Sweet Freedom: A Devotional’ was released Nov. 16, which is Palin’s fifth publication released since the 2008 presidential election.

An event promoting a book called "Sweet Freedom" which takes away people's freedom to takes photographs?  Gee, nothing hypocritical about that.

Hard to imagine how tone deaf somebody would have to be to hold a book signing at a gun range while people in the country were mourning the death of their loved ones due to gun violence.

Not to be outdone Ted Cruz held a "2nd Amendment Event" at a shooting range in Iowa yesterday.

Two incredibly disgusting people.

Update for those who can stomach it:

Here is Palin's appearance at Ronald Reagan's ranch yesterday.

 It is really just more of the same.

      She is still stuck in her 2008 glory days and will never move on, although time certainly has.

      I am writing to the YAF people, as I did with CBA, to tell them that no PayMe has been seen in a place of worship for at least 5 years. Tripp and Trig receive no Bible study/Sunday school .... And that NONE of the PayMe's have a job. Won't matter but it makes me feel better. I hope other IMers do the same - we must keep calling these lying hypocrites out!

      They say join her at the Reagan Ranch. Then Reagan Ranch Center. It was the Center, not the Ranch where she was this time. Hosted by the Young America’s Foundation.

    I took one for the team and watched a bit of the revolting Reagan Ranch appearance. It is more of the same - her stupidity and ignorance continue to astonish me (fuck you McCain) - she boasts about working her way through college and says everyone should do that. My daughter's tuition is $60K annually but how would Palin know about that? She has never sent anyone to college!
    More interesting to this IM'er is her admission that she tells her kids, "If the blog bothers you, don't read the blog". Gotta be us. Hi Bristol! Hi Baldy! Nice wig action.
    She seems to think Jeebus is a gun-worshipping personal life coach. WHAT A DOPE. Keep up the good work, Gryph. Love IM.

      I have 2 college degrees and have worked full time for more than 30 years in two professional but low-paying fields.

      I STILL don't make $60K a year and likely won't make it to that level before I retire (IF I can afford to retire before I'm 85).

      'Working your way through college' and graduating without the overwhelming burden of student loans is just about impossible for most people these days.

      There are options to college tuition. Catching on around here are duo-enrollments while a kid is in high school. The state pays the community college tuition and the kid graduates high school in five years with an associate's degree in a skill field. They can then continue at a 4 year, or get a job immediately, or both. It's working well for a certain group.

    4. Anonymous8:41 AM

      Yep. Great idea. Why would Palin bother to learn (haha "learn" and "Palin" in the same sentence) about it though when she can just lie about her own ancient college experience or tell kids to "get a job".

      Why didn't Bristol, and now Willow, enlist in the military to defend our country?

      There are a bundle of ways to get a college education without going into massive debt. Work, then study, then work, etc. A college will work with you to make it do-able.

      The poor ex-students saddled with huge debt are by and large made up of veterans and others who are promised the moon by for-profit colleges (the kind run by Mitt Romney's friends and other conservatives). They take the military education benefit, have the students sign onto massive debt, and don't work to keep the kids in school. Student debt is the only kind that can't be erased through bankruptcy or death, thanks to the US Congress.

      Anyway, Sarah can't talk about the liberality pervasive on college campuses since she hasn't been on one for thirty years.

    As with all things involving Mrs. Palin no thought is given to the inappropriate appearance at a gun club in the wake of these events, of course given the fact that we have a shooting rampage about every week the pistol packin mama would be hard pressed to find a more suitable date for her book signing. It's hilarious that she surrounds herself with this culture inasmuch as she doesn't know her way around firearms or much else involving the outdoors other than how to get the hell INDOORS. I think she is one of America's terrorists! Remember, Todd had a seven or eight year membership with the Alaska organization called AIP. The group wanted Alaska to succeed from the Union!

    Sarah gave their organization a speech when she was Governor of Alaska - before she quit!

    No one sees anything of Todd anymore and many suspect they are no longer husband and wife (whether through the court system or not!).

    Sarah has dropped magnificently as to coverage that is supportive and positive of her - across the nation!

      The Reagans have nothing to do with it now. I think Michael may visit. The billionaire that bought the paper, SantaBarbara NewsPress from Time is involved with it. The billionaire destroyed the local paper and many quit reading it. The billionaire would print that Sarah was here. Since I don't take that paper anymore I haven't read anyplace else that Palin was here. I have to get that news from Alaska or anywhere else. The fringe tea bags would know about Sarah. In Santa Barbara, Palin May Keep A Billionaire Publisher On The Sidelines
      http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/09/17/601270/-In-Santa-Barbara-Palin-May-Keep-A-Billionaire-Publisher-On-The-Sidelines

      I think it's safe to say that voters in the Santa Barbara area appear to be solidly behind Barack Obama. In last June's presidential primary the number of Democrats in the county voting for Obama was almost twice the number of Republicans voting for John McCain.
      And a McCain bumper sticker or yard sign is about as rare a sight in these parts as a telephone booth.
      So what do Santa Barbara's columnists and commentators think of Sarah Palin, McCain's choice for VP?

      Except for that Bullwinkle thing. Or the fact that as governor of Alaska Palin has supported the aerial hunting of Wolves. For a newspaper publisher like McCaw, who insists that even coyotes be given an even break in News-Press articles, that could easily be a deal breaker as far as an endorsement of the McCain ticket.
      It will be interesting to see if McCaw endorses according to her conscience or her pocket book.

    WHAT A LIAR!!! Here is the history of tuition at UC Berkely, a pretty good university: http://www.dailycal.org/2014/12/22/history-uc-tuition-since-1868/

    At the time $HE went to college, tuition was virtually FREE - at community colleges, one only had to pay some fees, which amounted to maybe $500/YEAR! From my christian perspective, I can't understand how the students for Reaganism see any fruit in Sarah Palin's speech. These people are Reaganites followers first, Christ followers second. They chose the man before God, which is in direct disobedience to scripture. They want to glorify the man and his message rather than scripture, they want a dominion empire on earth. The message of the cross is offensive to them. Real christians know that they are pilgrims of this world and will never have the upper hand in this world.

    Sarah sounds very uncomfortable talking about her personal faith; in fact, she conceals her preference to mammon for these speeches, but doesn't succeed; she doesn't talk the way a true christian would want to express, to a crowd of like-minded believers. She never once gives God any glory, never once asks the crowd to lower their heads in prayer, as she leads them in prayer. She is totally not comfortable and is out of her league. She is vague and uses words carefully that exempt her from talking about a forgiving God, who requires obedience in propriety and expression.

    How can cursing and blessing come out of the same mouth, the bible asks. It's not possible. Either one or the other, so why Sarah, do guns and sweet freedoms and nationalism have anything to do with the gospel? It doesn't. But, she tries to grind the two in together, and if the woman has one iota of a convicted heart left, she is squirming in her seat, because she has to know she's going against the Word she proclaims to know so well.

    The fact she charges people to buy a book that she claims to have written to encourage others is wrong. A real christian would share their testimony free of charge. These silly written devotionals are all grievous to the God of the NT, all she has to do is read it. But, these charlatans don't want to hear that. They use the bible to profit, while they slander and slaughter with their appeal to heaven and demand that God condones their idolatry of guns, weapons, protection of freedoms, stealing of world oil, military prowess.

    "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing; but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness; from such withdraw theyself.........For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can cary nothing out.......but they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

    It's so obvious she thought she was in some competition in the 2008 election, as she parrots her 'I came in second out of two' squawk.

    She says there's still lots of time to choose a preferred candidate for nominee. She won't give a name, because she's waiting to see who stays up in the polls. She has to yield to the polls, to see who she can butt-lick until the nomination. She proves she has NO FREEDOM at all; she's too afraid to endorse a candidate for fear she'll choose the loser and won't get perks and rewards. She's always in fear. Fear of losing the con, and the money, and the homes, and Todd's toys, and living like the little people.

      Fascinating that a few weeks ago she "thought" she was canned, Todd having taken a phone message from Fox.
      IM and others must have convinced her that she really was fired. So now she makes up a story to defend herself: she was just too much of a maverick and criticized one of the Foxes, so they fired her.

      I didn't pay a penny for my master's, from a top school right here in the US.

      However, I did have to meet the same standards as those in Europe who get into the free universities, I had a nearly perfect undergraduate GPA and scored in the 95 percentile of the GREs.

      The same people who are eligible for a free education in Germany also don't have to pay here. Their system is incredibly competitive and it starts at age 13 with tests that determine what type of high school the kids can attend. If they don't pass that test, it's virtually impossible to go to university. At age 13, your fate is sealed.

      The system in Germany has plusses and minuses, but don't focus on one and ignore the rest.

    End the Gun Epidemic in America

    It is a moral outrage and national disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/05/opinion/end-the-gun-epidemic-in-america.html

    Why mass shootings don't convince gun owners to support gun control

    ...Guns have become a last-ditch effort to impose control on a world slipping away

    Let us imagine, then, a conservative gun owner — an older white gentleman, let's say, in his 50s, living in the Rust Belt somewhere. When he was growing up, there was living memory of a familiar order: men working in honorable trade or manufacturing jobs, women tending home and children, Sundays at church, hard work yielding a steady rise up the ladder to a well-earned house, yard, and car.

    That order was crumbling just as our gun owner inherited it. The honorable jobs are gone, or going. It's hell to find work, benefits are for shit, and there isn't much put aside for retirement. The kids are struggling with debt and low-paying jobs. They know, and our gun owner knows, that they probably aren't going to have a better life than he did — that the very core of the American promise has proven false for them, for the first time in generations.

    It's a bitter, helpless feeling. And for someone naturally attuned to "order, structure, closure, certainty, consistency, simplicity, and familiarity," it's scary. The role he thought he was meant to play in the world, the privileges and respect that came along with it, have been thrown into doubt. Everything is shifting under his feet.

    Over the last few years, our gun owner has found a whole network of TV channels, radio shows, books, blogs, and Facebook groups that speak directly to his unease. They understand the world he heard about from his father and grandfather, the world that's being lost; they understand the urgency of saving what's left of it.

    Most of all, with his already heightened sensitivity to threat further aggravated by economic uncertainty, they finally help him see who's to blame. They show him the immigrants crowding in, using up jobs and benefits that were promised to American workers. They show him minorities demanding handouts that are paid for with his taxes, even as they riot, even as they kill each other and the police. The show him terrorists making a mockery of weak American leadership. They show him elitist liberals, professors and entertainers, disdaining his values and mocking his religion.

    And it is such a relief, to finally put a face to all the ambient dread, to have some clarity again, to know who the good guys and bad guys are. Our gun owner is a good guy, thankfully, from the kind of self-reliant stock that settled this country.

      These are all very good points. I know a person who is vocal and angry that their family of four can't afford extras or save money for retirement by working less than one combined full time job. It is a mentality that things and living expenses should be as they were for her parents four decades ago and extreme economic belief that no inflation of costs have ever occurred.

  25. Anonymous8:05 AM

    ...t seems like America's decline is a done deal, that the tide of liberal rot is unstoppable. But the one place he knows he can draw the line is at his door, on his private property, because he has a gun. He can defend his own. If the minorities riot again, or immigrant criminals move in nearby, or terrorists attack, or some wackjob goes on a shooting spree, or Obama comes for his guns ... well, that's what the guns are for. He's given up a lot, but he won't give up his autonomy or the safety of his family. He'll defend that to the end.

    To our gun owner, another mass shooting is not an argument for getting rid of guns. It's a confirmation of his every instinct, another sign of moral and societal decay, another reason to arm himself and defend what he's got left.

    You can tell him about Canada and Australia until you're blue in the face — the lower rate of gun deaths, the hunting exemptions, the seemingly intact freedoms. You can cite high popular support for restrictions on gun and ammunition sales. You can tell him that not every incremental tightening of standards is a slippery slope, that no one wants to confiscate his guns.

    But you're just another self-righteous liberal on another self-righteous crusade, too blind or stupid to see how governments always use people like you to disarm their citizenry. You've taken enough — of his taxes, his freedoms, his culture. He won't give you any more.

      I'm afraid you're right and it's frightening and depressing as hell. Seems that the more outrageous the violence (which almost always stems from the fanatical right wing of any country).....the more the simple-minded (and also right-wing) demand their completely unfettered "gun rights".

      The new theory is violence patterns are similar to a virus, and we are in urgent need of a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

      The right wing has succeeded in framing our social issues in this way. Every act of violence, every hardship in modern life, is because of liberal politicians, and most especially Barack Obama.

      I hold to the belief that someday in saner times, history will appreciate what a treasure we had and will realize how shameful it was that he was demonized by so many for attempting to instill common sense in a nation of (mostly) idiots.

      I don't have a TV anymore, but I remember several years ago, there were movies popular about the future world - where the 'good' guys had to live underground, and the world on top was ruled by thugs and gangs with bigger and bigger guns and weapons.
      Sounds to me like we are heading towards that type of world, and are almost there already. Here in the US, we have the white thugs roaming the streets free and openly, displaying their weapons and armor to everybody. The rest of the world right now is holding their collective breath with the DAESH group hitting innocent people seemingly randomly. (Wait for Christmas... I am pretty sure they have planned some 'surprises' for the western world. Maybe another Paris attack, maybe one in London - or in Washington, DC...

And that was a very small crowd that coughed up the $45 to hear her screech. I sure noticed how uncomfortable she is in her own skin, always fidgeting, scratching her nose, etc.

    Listening to her talk would make for a great drinking game:

    God doesn't drive parked cars;
    Mambi-pambi milquetoast;
    Man...

    Go along to get along;
    Buck up or stay in the truck;
    Organic meat wrapped in fur;
    We just have to shoot it first;
    Trig, he being our greatest gift from God, also, too;
    This once great nation;
    If you love your freedom, thank a vet;
    Sweat is my sanity, man;
    Donald Trump calls it like he sees it, he's a true fighter (fist pump);
    Blah, blah, blah

      Another habit my relative has is becoming bombastic as a defense when she feels like she's about to be found out for how little she actually knows on a subject.

      Young America’s Foundation hosted Governor Sarah Palin for the keynote address at the opening banquet of our Reagan 100 weekend. This weekend marks the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth. Celebrations are taking place across the country, but this is a particularly significant weekend for our organization—since the spring of 1998 we’ve been preserving Ronald Reagan’s beloved Ranch home in the mountains north of Santa Barbara, Rancho del Cielo. Today Ronald Reagan’s Western White House is a place where young people come to be inspired by the life, the ideas, the character of Ronald Reagan.

    In the CBN interview, Sarah used her tired old story of not having anyone to pray with before the VP debate, and how Piper prayed with her and thought it was cheating. Same old same old. She has no new stories in her mind to sway other christians into believing she's one too. She's going to have to do better than this. These repetitive stories that she digs out at each and every speech, book, event has to rub her crowd the wrong way. Never a new angle, no new material, always the same Sarah-isms.

    WHAT THE FUC_ ?

    FREE?

    IS SARAH PALIN IN DESPERATION MODE NOW?

    I haven't read the other comments yet but WTF is going on?

    Is Sarah Palin so desperate to sell Sweet Freedom: A Devotional that she now has to give away free professional photographer pictures and signatures just to sell and get rid of her Sarah Palin Wannabe Bibles she has stacked up in her garage?

    Pictures will be taken by Professional Photographer and will be available for free! When has Sarah Palin ever given away anything for free besides her hoohah and dignity?

      I have a bit more respect for poor ol' Sally who at least she's not trying to fight the realities of gravity and birthdays as fiercely as her num-nutz daughter.

      All $P every thought she had was 'looks' so that's all she focused on in her life. Based on the many years of suggestive clothing, troweled on makeup and wigs she's favored all her life, she couldn't count real beauty in her arsenal. She's better at waving guns around showing her true, real self.

      She boosted herself up on the backs of others, lied, cheated and spread ill will to fill her empty life with pieces of silver and false adoration.

      Maybe because ArmTrack only has visitation-type privileges and not full custody? Raising that little girl is out of Sarah's control so she doesn't count her as "one of us".

      I figured at even five across and 30 long, that is a crowd of maybe 150, including kids who were dragged along. It was posted right about the time the "event" was to begin, so it's not like it was after two hours of crowd thinning or early people lining up for hours before. This would appear to be it, crowd-wise.

    In the end, no matter whose side we take here, what kind of a pathetic soul would whore herself so cheaply in the name of her God when it is clearly against The Word she claims to cling to?

    Even Michelle Bachmann and Christine O' Donnell went away. That she still belly dances it not only speaks her total lack of integrity but of a God she does not even respect.

    Noticed the Ben Carson books were turned face down on the stacks...my sweet husband flipped 'em. He's retiring soon and told me he was going to be get involved in the political fray. He's starting out slow....

    Sarah Palin has a bit of advice for Carly Fiorina

    By GABBY MORRONGIELLO (@GABRIELLAHOPE_)• 12/4/15 5:26 PM

    Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin offered Carly Fiorina, the only female Republican presidential hopeful, a bit of advice Friday: behave more like Donald Trump....

    Read more at
    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/sarah-palin-has-a-bit-of-advice-for-carly-fiorina/article/2577680

    Here we go again. Sarah Palin who thinks she's a politician, author, America's energy expert, the world's moral and parental police, knowledgeable about Christianity but we haven't heard that she attends a church and Sarah is giving advice?

    Sarah please!

    Sarah what advice would you give Fiorina to behave more like Trump?

    Tell Carly to:
    Insult African-Americans by calling them "the blacks"

    Insult not only Mexican immigrants but all immigrants by calling them rapists, criminals and drug dealers, killers and murders.

    Insult all people with handicaps and disabilities by flailing her arms, mumbling and facial expressions

    Insult women by talking about their faces, bodies and their menstrual cycles

    And whatever else Donald Trump says against everybody else

    Immoral Minority readers advice to Carly Fiorina is to think about who is telling you to be more like Donald Trump. Is it the woman who quit her job as governor, who claims to be a Christian, mother who can't teach her daughter to keep her legs closed or use some type of birth control, the mother whose three adult children are not in college, the wife of a man who is accused of being a pimp, the woman who keeps saying she's a politician but hasn't done anything since she quit on the taxpayers of Alaska in 2009, the mother who has to depend on her high school freshman daughter to interpret Sarah's child with DS, doesn't know what the vice-president's job entails, doesn't know our history, doesn't know who our allies are, doesn't know the difference between North and South Korea doesn't know what she reads and all the other stupid shit she has said and done?

    Tell us Carly is this the woman who is giving you advice? ROFLOL SMH

    I watched a bit of the video before I went to bed. I was very surprised that Sarah Palin had no answer for the girl whose debate tutor said she was racist and bordering on supporting rape culture. She asked Palin how she could have responded.

    Sarah Palin had no answer. No answer at all. She even admitted it.

    Here is some advice from a grown woman not as old as Sarah: if a professor makes any assessment of your politics that upsets you, then simply ask them what they're basing that assessment on. If you want to have strident Right-wing views then your must be prepared to defend them. Going to fake Palin events where everybody talks a lot of shit will not help you.

    Sarah's MO of 'divide and conquer' wouldn't have helped her in college. No wonder she had to attend five of them, she probably wasn't welcome in any of them with her middle school politics that she still clings to.

    Well, we spent this gorgeous sunny and mild (unusual for us in early December) Saturday Christmas shopping in a nearby town, Petoskey, on Lake Michigan. The lake reflected the stunning blue of the sky. Not a gun shop in sight of the streets we trod in the downtown. Happy shoppers, friendly faces and cheerful voices everywhere, although some people were disappointed that there is no snow on the ground or in the forecast.

    By contrast the obscenity of hawking a "devotional" book at a gun show shows who Sarah Palin really is. And to do it in California just days after the massacre at San Bernardino makes her even worse, if that is possible. Sarah Palin does not have a faithful or religious or loving or patriotic bone in her body.

    Sarah Palin if you go to a NASCAR event, basketball or hockey game do you think all those people are there to see you? What about Disneyland or New York? Are all those people there to see you? What about crashing the Rolling Thunder parade in Washington DC? Are all those people there to see you?

    Sarah since you can't draw people to your book signing at bookstores, how about going to a rifle - pistol - shotgun - archery range and restaurant at the Oak Tree Gun Club?
