Bernie Sanders now leads Hillary Clinton by 27 points in New Hampshire. Gonna be a squeaker.

Courtesy of ABC News:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has opened up his widest lead yet over rival Hillary Clinton in the crucial state of New Hampshire, according to a new poll released Tuesday.

The new WMUR/CNN poll out this afternoon shows the Vermont lawmaker with a whopping 27-point lead over the former Secretary of State -- 60-33 percent. That’s a climb of 10 percentage points for Sanders since mid-December and a drop of 7 points for Clinton. It marks Sanders’ highest support and widest lead in any poll in any state so far. His popularity in the state is also sky-high, earning a 91 percent favorability rating among Democrats there.

The shift comes despite the Clinton campaign waging an all-out blitz on the Granite State since the New Year.

I thought you guys might like some non-Palin news today.

Ultimately while this is concerning news for Hillary, she has already corralled most of the super delegates in order to hedge her bets.

I think it would be very ill informed for anybody to think that Hillary is not prepared for just about ANY contingency that might arise this time around.

And yes that includes possible issues with her e-mail server.

  1. Super delegates are not bound by any promises and are explicitly free to change their allegiance at any time for the good of the party.

They're not a firewall, anymore than the South that remembers Bill trashing Obama in '08 is a firewall.

Pretty sure NH was always Bernie's to lose. It's nice and white like Vermont. Where he has big trouble is where minorities reside -- he's still way behind in non-lily-white states.

Calling PP and HRC "establishment" groups shows just how out of touch Bernie is. I hope he apologizes for his and his rude supporters statements.

    3. PP has three excellent candidates running. Why pick one? Why punish two supporters of reproductive rights simply because they didn't try to stack PP's board with supporters? PP just Elizabeth J. Komen'ed themselves. Clinton put herself ahead of PP's best interests

No, PP and women's healthcare and women's healthcare rights have only had one candidate and that is Hillary.

He's practically the hometown candidate. VT and NH are two halves of a whole, like those salt and pepper shakers, that's got to have some effect on their relationship with each other. I'd full expect Bernie to win NH.

He lost me with that one too. I have donated to PP since I got my first paying job and that was decades ago and will until the day I die, while leaving them a sizable chunk of my estate to boot. Screw Sanders if he thinks his dissing of an organization that provides health care for all is going to score hi points. WRONG fucko.

New Hampshire is going to be a nail biter. 40% of voters in New Hampshire are registered as Independents. The Independents can vote in either primary.

I am hoping that Kasich takes the prize in New Hampshire for the R's. He is currently running at #2 and could beat Trump. Now that would be a game changer.

With all the media hype that appears to me to be very anti-Hillary, I think they forget what all the Clintons have had to deal with throughout the years they've been involved as serving governmental people. It's been a continual fight for them with the ever constant crap always brought up by the Republicans - that never sticks!

What is going on right now just appalls me! I think she'll win and be our first woman POTUS. I'm very eager to provide her my vote. The woman is far better prepared and experienced to be placed in that position than any other politician currently showing an interest. (to include both parties!)

    In Hillary's words...

What President Obama's Legacy Means to Me

...I remember vividly the day after the 2008 election when President-elect Obama asked me to come see him in Chicago. It turned out that he would ask me to be secretary of state. But first, we talked about everything he was doing to get ready for his first term -- and everything he was learning about the reality of the economic crisis our country was facing. The president-elect was getting briefings every day, sometimes several times a day. And the news was not good. He turned to me and said, "It is so much worse than they told us."

    He was right.

By the time President Obama was sworn into office, we were on the brink of another Great Depression. Before the worst was over, we were losing 800,000 jobs a month, 5 million Americans lost their homes, and 13 trillion dollars of family wealth was wiped away. Meanwhile, our auto industry -- the pride of American manufacturing and ingenuity for decades -- was on the verge of collapse. It turned out to be the second-worst financial crisis in our country's history.

President Obama changed all that. Look where we are today. We've had 70 straight months of private-sector job growth. Our businesses have created 14.1 million jobs. The unemployment rate is the lowest in seven years. And the auto industry just had its best year ever.

Wall Street firms — independent companies and the securities-trading arms of banks — are doing even better. They earned more in the first 2 1/2 years of the Obama administration than they did during the eight years of the George W. Bush administration, industry data show. […]

The largest banks, including Bank of America, Citigroup and Wells Fargo, earned $34 billion in profit in the first half of the year, nearly matching what they earned in the same period in 2007 and more than in the same period of any other year.

Securities firms — the trading arms of big banks and hundreds of other independent firms — have fared even better. They’ve generated at least $83 billion in profit during the past 2 1/2 years, compared with $77 billion during the entire Bush administration, according to data from the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.

Obama says wages are growing. They're not

Wages basically didn't grow at all in 2014, according to the Labor Department. The median weekly wage at the end of 2014 was $796 (seasonally adjusted). That's barely changed from the same time in 2013, when the weekly wage was $794.

Middle class America is still frustrated because they aren't earning more money.

I like Bernie. If I thought he had a chance I might actively support him. I might vote for him anyway. He does different things well from Hilary, who does other things very well.

But I dont' see how Bernie will win the south, southwest, and middle of the country. Even the Democrats in those places. I don't think they will vote for him. I suppose the same was said about Obama. Maybe it's not different from that. But I think it is. Actually, I feel like it is. I can't articulate why.

Just vote logically and to your best interest. Listen to what each candidate offers and who provides a more compelling argument and plan on how they are going to manage the business of the country. If you candidate doesn't get nominated, hopefully the eventual nominee still represents the majority of your closely held beliefs.

Hillary or Bernie, it really doesn't matter. I will vote for which ever one gets the Democratic nod.

I don't really care about the politics between the two because I will take either one over a GOP candidate.

I have a vivid memory of a right wing relative who, in the Spring of 2008, predicted a Democratic Presidential win would ensure that Saddam Hussein would invade the USA. This person also frequently claimed that LBJ was responsible for JFK's assassination so that he could then become President.

The crazy out there is real, my friends.

Personally I am tired of political pundits yakking that it is all over for the candidate that does not win NH and Iowa.

Really since when does NH and Iowa chose for the rest of the USA?

I am also sick and tired of them analyzing polls without looking at who put them out and how they asked the questions.

One thing I do know, whoever the Democratic candidate is in November, Democrats had better get off their butts and vote.

I cringe at the thought of how much damage those republicans can do in only 4 years.

I still do not think that Bernie Sanders can win a general election. His point of view is too narrow. Just this past week, while acknowledging that Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Watch do good work, he complained that they are "part of the Establishment." What on God's green/blue earth did he mean by that? And hasn't he been part of the most elite "Establishment" in the country for umpteen years by serving in Congress? And by not being a member of the Democratic Party didn't he limit his opportunities to make real changes there? Sure, he could provide amendments but how much legislation has his name on it?

He may be sincere but he comes across as being sophomoric much of the time. He was very late to the game when it comes to the situation of African Americans. Remember when he began his quest for the White House (gee, how "Establishment" is that?) he brushed off questions about the Black Lives Matter movement by saying that everyone deserves better jobs. Sure, Bernie, but those protester were talking about staying alive on US city streets.

And, frankly, I'm still shaking my head at his statement about Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Watch as being part of the "Establishment." I guess he would include groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center too. What organization is good enough and anti-establishment for Bernie Sanders?

Hasn't he, at his age and with his experience, grown beyond whining about the "Establishment"?
