Fox News accuses the Donald Trump campaign of threatening Megyn Kelly. Trump kinda sorta denies it.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

That’s a nice TV host you have there. It’d be a shame if anything happened to her. According to Fox News Channel, this is basically the message Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s campaign delivered over the weekend, as the Manhattan billionaire tried to bully the network into removing Megyn Kelly as a moderator of Thursday’s candidates' debate in Des Moines.

Here’s Fox’s version of events, per a statement released late Tuesday night, after Trump declared that he would not attend the debate:

"Capitulating to politicians’ ultimatums about a debate moderator violates all journalistic standards, as do threats, including the one leveled by Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, toward Megyn Kelly. In a call on Saturday with a Fox News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a “rough couple of days after that last debate” and he “would hate to have her go through that again.” Lewandowski was warned not to level any more threats, but he continued to do so. We can’t give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees."

In response to the allegations Trump tweeted this non-denial denial.
Of course only two hours before this was posted, Trump sent this tweet.
And of course all of that came after Trump dropped out of today's GOP debate hosted by Fox News due to his overwhelming fear of Megyn Kelly.

But hey, at least Sarah Palin is still twirling her pasties on his behalf.

So there's that I guess.

Oh right. Like any one of the GOP candidates has been asked even ONE policy question in six months, or been honest in an answer. Truth is their enemy, and they all know the game. And I want someone to smack that smirk off Cruz, and tell bully Christie to sit in the corner. I cannot and will not watch this charade, when Rachel is doing fine reporting from Flint, and the Democrats are having real town halls where they answer real unscripted questions from voters. There is zero comparison between the GOP crap and Democrats. One party is full of adults; the other is a bunch of petulant entitled brats.

His whole "package" is one liners, insults and fables about himself.

    2. The tampons I used to use didn't have an applicator (environmentally friendlier and more discreet), just a string for removal, all tidily wrapped. They could be strung as beads quite easily, if a woman REALLY wanted to make a man uncomfortable.

      ::wide evil grin::

Since they now allow tampon ads on TV, there would also be no unpleasantness over censorship.

Easily and discreetly done: Box of ob brand tampons, small can of high gloss burgundy paint, dip and hang dry. Don't know how many layers it would take to get a nice shine on them, but it would be worth a try. Cut the string and thread them horizontally, few would know. Of course one could hang them vertically by looping the string back through to make it a loop. Let's start a fad, HeeHee! Damn, I detest that sorry excuse for a human being.

I'm no fan of either, but Megyn did a fine job the first debate, I had to check and make sure it was Fox News. But Trump seems a bit weak and had latent homosexual tendencies, not that there's anything wrong with that, just my opinion.

Why you so ascaired, sissy "blonde ish" boy? You said you think Ivanka is beautiful and you'd marry her if she wasn't your daughter.... guess what? She bleeds, dyes her hair, she bleeds from everywhere and she's FEMALE. I see why you were confused with Sarah, I have the same problem sometimes, but Megyn Kelly is more of a bully? You need a check up from the neck up, and anyone who votes for you as well.

Here we have an example of the 'reap what we sow' dynamic. Fox News, have allowed their attack dogs, including Palin, to denigrate and verbally assault President Obama and liberals. Fox News, didn't care about how that rhetoric caused Sarah Palin's minions to spread her hatred and dangerous tone towards the President and his family. Fox News didn't care about how their guests and contributors caused some to threaten the people Fox News railed against.

Now, they are getting a taste of their own medicine.

Now they can't control attack dog Trump and his campaign manager and Trumps hate-filled followers. They are mad as hell and they are taking it out on the person that is Trump's 'enemy du jour'. Trump seems to love hating on Megyn Kelly, and he knows what he's doing and won't stop it. If Roger Ailes and Fox News don't nip this in the bud, Kelly may have to have bodyguards. They are getting a taste of the poison they had no problem sending out towards others.

Trump, if he wins, would have goons for staff and close advisers. It would look similar to a God Father sequel, I imagine.

There would be no transparency. We would never hear anything negative about his administration- it would be covered up, threats and payoffs would keep his secrets.

Be careful what you wish for Trump fans. You love him because he's not beholden because he campaigns with his own money, so he definitely isn't beholden to the average citizen You love him because he bullies to get his way. Beware he will bully anyone he feels like bullying because he's The Donald. Rules (laws?) don't pertain to him.

How can you control someone you vote into office because he's uncontrollable?

I am not a Trump fan (so trolls don’t just jump in) and think this whole Faux News kerfuffle is a publicity stunt by Trump. However, I do not read what the campaign manager said as threat:
"......Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, toward Megyn Kelly. In a call on Saturday with a Fox News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a “rough couple of days after that last debate” and he “would hate to have her go through that again.” I took that as just sexist crap spinning that she allegedly took all sorts of criticism for her “unfair” questions to Trump (by his band of followers and professional media spinners of course trying to make it look like popular opinion). Trump is a bully, but I don’t take it as a personal safety threat. I also don’t think he is “afraid” of her or Fox either. I think he is just pulling a publicity stunt and his "anti-establishment" followers love it.

YOU may not hear it that way, but it was a fucking blast of a dog whistle to his cultish fans to go after Megyn, and they have, in vile, disgusting, violently described, ways on Twitter, on Facebook, through emails...and I suspect also in phone calls.

This is just the first whistle to go after her, but SOME will hear that whistle and take it to another level altogether, like that whistle Sarah sent out with her targets on politicians and Gabby Giffords paid the price of the whistle that the madman heard. And so did a precious little girl, and so did others who were just going about their daily lives.

Make NO mistake, you can't hear the whistle because that isn't the way you listen. But they hear it, loud and clear, just like they hear it when Sarah shrieks it. I would be horrified, but not altogether surprised if some fucked up 'follower' as you call them, decides it's his job to protect his 'leader' from the big, bad female, Megyn, and fires up those big ol' penis extenders to get the job done.

Trump is flatly dangerous. He isn't funny, he is a threat to our entire way of living in this country. If the media continue to let themselves be bullied and threatened by this cretin, all is lost.

And please don't mistake me for a Megyn cheerleader, because I'm so not. I find her despicable. She is just Trump's latest and most pernicious target, but there will others, because bullies always need them to feel 'big'.

Beware. And remember that everything and everyone that Sarah puts her stamp of approval on, turns out to be criminal, shady, sick and twisted in some way. and Trump is NO exception.

Megyn Kelly was right to ask Donald Trump if he had the temperament to be president. Yes, his sexist comments were degrading to women. But the bigger question should be why Trump can't answer a question from Megyn. She treated him "fairly." No one has stepped up to criticize Megyn. It's a pity that more people don't step up to denounce Trump's bullying tactics against Fox. He acts like a spoiled child. The only other leader of a country that acts this way is that Kim Jung OOO or whatever in North Korea.

Some people think that this is another one of Trump's stunts, a macho show of power, who is bigger and more powerful, Trump or Fox? Trump won a round by appearing on O'Reilly's show and getting a chance to mouth off without much restraint. O'Reilly admitted that he and Trump have been friends of more than 30 years. Roger Ailes? It's the war of the titans.

Someone suggested that what Trump was really doing was setting it up so he doesn't have to show up at debates. He literally can phone and tweet it in. He is at the top of every poll. That's frightening.Even more frightening is the prospect that he will refuse to debate Hillary who is smarter than Trump when it comes to the way government works, and how international relationships are developed. Trump talks like a 4th grader and Hillary is smarter than a 4th grader.

With Trump, it is all about the appearance, the marketing and the publicity. He has dominated the news by refusing to appear in the debate. Trump is still starring in his own reality show, and he is still firing people. It's an awful game with him.

Republicans are just starting to admit the danger their party is in, but they haven’t hit on the proper reasons yet.

In an effort to avoid looking inward, Republicans are blaming Sarah Palin for Donald Trump.

Nicolle Wallace, a former senior adviser to McCain/Palin in their 2008 campaign, wrote a scathing piece at the New York Times – “Sarah Palin, Rage Whisperer”, in which she blames Palin for Trump, “Mr. Trump has now usurped and vastly expanded upon Ms. Palin’s constituency, but the connection between the two movements is undeniable.”
