Jeb Bush is considering bringing his brother George W. out to on the campaign trail with him. Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

During Fox News interview, host Brian Kilmeade asserted that George W. Bush would be a good addition to the candidate’s list of surrogates because he is embraced by conservatives in the same way that Democrats are fond of former President Bill Clinton.

“Is that something that you think, if he could tell your story as well as you can if not better, is that something you’re considering?” Kilmeade wondered.

“Yeah,” Bush replied. “It is something to consider because he is very popular. And I also know I need to go earn this.”

“My brother has been a strong supporter and I love him dearly,” he added. “He’ll continue to play a constructive role.”

Here's the thing, USUALLY I would think this was an incredibly bad idea for a guy who really wanted to win this nomination.

But now I really don't see how ANYTHING Jeb! does could really damage his campaign more than it is already damaged.

By the way the new Fox and Friends ornamental couch blonde seems even dumber than the last two they had.

  1. For someone who says, "I don't really follow what's going on on the Democratic side" JEB sure has a lot of negative things to say about Hillary Clinton. Should we conclude that he's spouting somebody else's talking points?

Every single gop candidate keeps trying to stress how dishonest Hillary is. Their talking points are so obvious. jeb! always has a look of stupidity on his face.

I can't wait to see W standing next to Jeb and snickering "Do you miss me yet?"

George Bush will NEVER live down what he did. Wounded warriors everywhere wonder why Bush abandoned them.

Sounds horrible, but I truly hope that he is heckled for the rest of his days.

  5. With the Palin/Meyer business at the same time, this idea promises maybe more fun than we can handle. And the New Year is only a week old.

Will Jeb drag out George and introduce him as "George Bush?" Cause Jeb doesn't use his last name to campaign ... he might have explain that.

Sounds like a solid plan to me, too, assuming that Jeb! gets George
    W. to campaign for Donald Trump.

Bristol has already moved on from the latest baby drama.

Her latest blog post is on Middle East foreign policy. ISIS and twitter.

This is something Bristol must care deeply about. Maybe the resident will call her now?

She's moved on when will everyone else?

Reminder! Less than 2 months until CPAC 2016 in NashVegas!

      Resident? President?

The only calls she will be getting are booty calls!

  11. Part of Jeb!'s problem is that America has changed more than he's realised since the last time he had to campaign for office - technically 2002, but since that was re-election, the last time he really had to mount a campaign - from scratch - was 1998.

He doesn't understand that the type of 'sound bytes' that were used back then sound too 'smarty-pants' or even 'left-wing' to today's Republican audience. He's floundering, and perhaps worse, he doesn't understand why. If he tries out-Trump Trump or out-Cruz Cruz he will fail.

The only way he could win the General is by courting moderates and independents, and back off of reactionary positions such as wanting to restrict or eliminate legal abortion and restrict or ban gay rights including marriage. He'd also need to express an open mind about sane gun control laws and immigration reform, back off the 'repeal Obamacare' in favor of a 'let's identify the problems in Obamacare and reform it" and support plans to make sure the Wall Street BigWigs can never bring America to its knees the way they did in 2007-2008.

Oh wait, that will never happen. And even if it did, Jeb! would not win the primary. Dang.

But ironically, that's exactly what he meant by he needed to lose the primary in order to win the presidency.
