Newsmax picks the 30 most influential Republicans 30 and under. You'll never guess who number five is.

Courtesy of Newsmax:

5. Bristol Palin— After coming to national attention as the daughter of one-time Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Bristol has made a name for herself as a thoughtful book author and blogger for Patheos.com. There, she writes inspired posts about faith and family.

Say what?

So Bristol gets honored for having somebody else write her book and blog under her name?

Here was the blurb with which Newsmax started this article:

While the face of the conservative movement is often associated with nationally recognized officeholders, there is in fact a large number of young men and women working hard every day to forge the future of the movement.

Gathered below are the names of 30 influential Republicans 30 and under who are making strides to bolster the values near and dear to the heart of the movement.

Now this is Newsmax so nobody should fault them too much for their lack of intelligence.

I mean seriously.

However one has to wonder how getting drunk and attacking a homeowner and attempting to trap a MOH winner into marrying you forges the future of the conservative movement?

Just asking.

6:13 is referring to Sarah's usual defense of Bristol, which is that she is "such a hard worker".

Bristol has supposedly been holding down a steady job working as a receptionist at a dermatologists's office in Anchorage.

Bristol must have the supernatural power of appearing in two places at once, since as far as anyone else can tell, she's been traveling and dragging Tripp all over the country during those same years.

Bristol's realistic response, "Really? I'm not even a celebrity. Did they run out of people." Though it appears by her kind responses to those who tell her that her optimism, strength and happiness give them hope, she does appreciate that her humanitarian efforts from years ago weren't wasted.

I don't understand how the press can honestly say she is an abstinence ambassador though. She's never told anyone to be abstinent or how to live. Ever. There's never been holier than thou from her. It's like that's the lie people have to tell just to have legitimacy in their attacks.

I despise the Palins and will be here to cheer on there public dissemination and hopefully their demise. "There is in fact a large number.." yeah, Newsmax, you;re about as literate as Ms. Palin. I guess the future of the GOP belongs to unwed mothers, drinkers, fighters, and people who abandon their kids to go have a brawl. Anyone who spends an iota of time reading about Ms. Palin knows she is not "thoughtful," nor 'inspired.' She is a mooch, but then, the entire GOP is full of them, so I guess they respect a young woman who embraces none of their values, says she does, and makes a boatload (pontoon load?) of cash by being as non-Christian as you can get. The future of the GOP sure looks brighter now!

Cousin, thanks again for posting here! Would you mind telling us more about Bristol's first daughter, supposedly named "Tristan" (a boy's name!) Did the Palins really think they could just get away with pretending Bristol's huge pregnancy while she was on Dancing with the Stars wouldn't be noticed by anybody? Or that the baby could just "disappear" and nobody would wonder about her? Is this daughter being raised at the Palin house or did Britta raise her as "Kyla Grace?" Or was this baby black and Nancy French pretended it was the new "African" daughter she and her husband adopted? Is Tristan going to school? Is she normal or disabled? (Since Bristol apparently has a history with all types of alcohol and drug use, especially when she wants a miscarriage.) Anything you can tell us about this poor girl child would be great; we've all been worried about this first daughter of Bristol's for years and never get any answers. I mean, does this daughter just never leave the house? There must be pics, right? (Hint: a pic of her would be worth a LOT of money if you sent it to the right media outlet.) Anyway thanks for all your info!

    2. Anonymous9:02 AM

PS: Also, too -- does Levi ever get to see this daughter? Does he pay child support for her? I always thought that the court issued amount of $1700 monthly in child support that he is supposed to pay seemed awfully high, like it was for two or three babies, not just Tripp.

@ 9:01, I don't think a picture of Tristan would make a difference. A picture isn't unambiguous evidence of Tristan's existence. The Palins could ignore the picture. Or if they felt the need to address it, the little girl is a cousin or the daughter of a friend of the family or something like that.

I remember someone here saying that the secret daughter is in the pictures of Bristol's Memorial Day outing (when Sarah was in Kentucky for the Dakota Meyer BBQ). It doesn't matter that she's there. A news outlet would want proof that the girl is Bristol's daughter.

The lengths to which the Palins go to hide or obscure Bristol's pregnancies is downright bizarre. What do they think they're gaining by being obscure and not forthright? Part money, part opportunism, I guess. Sarah could pass Trig off as her own to bolster her political career. Bristol probably had to hide Tristan so as not to be in breach of contract with Candies. And Bristol seems to have aligned Sailor's birthday with the possibility of Dakota fathering her. Yes, those are reasons, but they create a series of lies that aren't necessarily going to be easy to live with long-term.

Why can't she attend a family outing? Are they going to keep her in an attic like a crazy aunt? I can see how Trig's neglect might be explained away, but Tristan?? Thanks, Gryph! We long time IMers notice that the ONLY commenters ever even suggesting that poor Trig should have been aborted are Sarah's paid trolls trying to make the great people here look bad. Bunch of nonsense. We're not the alleged "mom" of Trig who, when she wanted to hold one of the babies, said "Not the retarded one" about Trig, preferring to hold her golden grandchild, Tripp. Poor fellow never had a chance at true love and caring. And all of us here (who aren't trolls paid by SarahPAC and Sarah's other shady financial organizations) always wish all the best for poor Trig. We get angry on his behalf since he clearly has never received the proper therapy and care that would allow him to reach those important Down's developmental milestones like being able to eat solid food, be verbal, etc; Trig should have been able to achieve all of that and more if he had ever been truly loved and not used as a stage prop by a bunch of psychopaths.

So Sarah's buddies at Newsmax must have owed Sarah a favor.

How does Bristol live with herself, knowing that she's being 'used' again by her mother? She has no friend in her mother. What mother pimps and markets her daughter, who appears to be a very confused young woman, like this? What mom ENABLE her daughter's life misteps and use those misteps to gain notoriety? What human being would keep using her daughter as a tool to complete this phony picture of an insightful composed christian woman? Mom appears to be 'gaslighting' her own flesh and blood, making her crazy. This behavior could drive anyone to hopelessness and often, feelings of suicide.

Newsmax is right wing media. Bristol's "influence" is ghost written by Nancy French, who would never make the list.

I can't see what the point is in promoting Bristol as anything. She admitted that her latest pregnancy was a huge disappointment. No matter how she tried to spin the photos and dates, she was less than honorable in trying to imply that Dakota was the father when the father could be....one of any other influential people.

As for Bristol's ghost written posts influencing anyone, forget about it. The moment that she opens her mouth, you realize that she is still the same immature teen whose writing abilities are limited to what she can post in instagram.

Ok, I finally stopped laughing, seriously “she writes inspired posts about faith and family. “ I guess if you are inspired by hatred, “Bristol’s” blog is the one to read.

I think SarahPAC doled out money for an image consultant; another out of wedlock child is not what the republicans mean by “family values”. Busy diverting the attention from the undetermined father lawsuit , the hooker BFF and who know what other mischief Bristol has gotten herself into.

As hilarious as this “honor” is from Newsmax (whoever they are), Bristol was again “rewarded” for something she hasn’t accomplished. She didn’t write the book or the blog. Her goal in life appears to be breaking the Guinness book of records for most fish-lipped selfies.

I don’t really care who in the hell these other young republicans are, however including the imposter Bristol diminishes the real accomplishments of the others on the list. (or are they all imposters too?).

Here are some comments on this Newsmax article:

"I don't question Bristol's belief in God, but for her to represent and speak up for family values with two kids from two different guys without marriage is really poor representation on the morality-faith front. On flipside she can still espouse free market principals and denounce socialism, which in my opinion should be her focus as far as representing conservatism."

"Bristol is influential, but only on a negative way."

"If you are after the anchor baby vote and future subsides to unwed mothers and reasons for more Planned Parenthood outlets, then Bristol would be your person. Think she skipped the sexual education classes in school or failed them by all examples of behavior."

"I'm older than 30 by some years but if Bristol Palin is #5, young conservatives in this country are in a world of hurt."

    "5. Bristol Palin
