President Obama talks about the first time he ever saw Secret Service agents cry.

So I guess according to the Right Wing that the Secret Service agents were faking it so that President Obama can grab their guns.

Or perhaps they simply believe that he would talk about this publicly if it were not true?

I have to say that as macho as I like to think I am, if I were standing in a room filled with parents grieving the loss of their five and six year old children, while holding the hands of those dead children's brothers and sisters I would be bawling like a three year old.

And I would not be embarrassed to be seen doing it.

People who can talk about children being slaughtered without shedding a tear don't impress me.

They frighten me because they are truly heartless.

Yup. Exactly. Heartless, horrible people are not moved by images of slaughtered children. One in particular comes to mind: Sarah Pslin.

Indeed. How could anyone not grieve for these babies?

Every last one of us have seen his connection to children and how they love him back as he does them.

Fox can say what they want about an onion on the podium; give me a break. This from the network that gladly put Vicks Vapo Rub under Glenn Beck's eyes. Think I'm kidding? You Tube it if it's still there.

For what this man has done in spite of those conspiring against him from the night of his initial inauguration is amazing and he WILL go down in history as one of our best. My admiration for him knows no bounds.

And remember the Wasilla Witch bought her purse carrier a new rifle in honor of those little lives taken with pride.

Anybody who can joke or make fun of the crying, either by the President or the SS guys, when they see this is so cold and heartless to let be their first thought instead of the horror and anguish of those families.

I see a man crying as a sign of strength. What's more human than expressing your full emotions in real time?

I see ANYONE crying as a sign of strength - and it makes me want to do something to help.

The doubters are as bad as the reporter who sticks his mic in the face of the mother who just witnessed the death of her child, asking, "How do you feel now?"

    2. Well, except for John Boehner, who would cry over any and everything. Too much starch in his shirts. Cafeteria out of mayo. Drinking water too tepid.

It's hard to recall any incident when Boehner wasn't crying. Except for any attempts to change gun regulations. Then he was dry eyed and stone sober.

For Republicans, Mounting Fears of Lasting Split

The Republican Party is facing a historic split over its fundamental principles and identity, as its once powerful establishment grapples with an eruption of class tensions, ethnic resentments and mistrust among working-class conservatives who are demanding a presidential nominee who represents their interests.

At family dinners and New Year’s parties, in conference calls and at private lunches, longtime Republicans are expressing a growing fear that the coming election could be shattering for the party, or reshape it in ways that leave it unrecognizable.

While warring party factions usually reconcile after brutal nomination fights, this race feels different, according to interviews with more than 50 Republican leaders, activists, donors and voters, from both elite circles and the grass roots.

    2. I'm still horrified by the slaughter of those children as well as the adults who lost their lives as they tried to protect them. How can ANYONE question the genuine emotion and tears he shed?? I refuse to believe all republicans are that heartless - All of us, regardless of where we live, who we are, political party, religious beliefs, young or old, - should close our eyes and imagine the carnage of that horrifying day. Just imagine the innocent faces of those little children facing a fucking maniac with assault weapons! The first responders will never recover completely. The problem isn't those few tears our president shed - the problem is NOT ENOUGH tears have fallen - of course he'd cry while talking about those sweet angels. Gun control!

Those Republicans at "family dinners" who are bemoaning the so-called split in their beloved GOP must have been blind since January 2009. The GOP went to the "dark side" on January 20, 2009, when they swore to obstruct and obstruct and obstruct. Then they went deeper into the abyss when they sold their souls to the Tea Party before the 2010 election. Today the "myth" of moderate Republicanism belongs to the New York Times alone.

They brought it on themselves by whipping up the hate and supporting the astroturf teabaggers.

My nose bleeds for them. Couldn't happen to a more worthy bunch. This is just the tip of the corrupt iceberg they've been feeding for decades. Karl Rove. Diebold. Hanging Chads. Alec. This has been a long time coming and they deserve everything that happens.

I sincerely hope the party does split. They should have thought of the consequences when they put that incompetent, unqualified hate monger from Alaska one heart attack away from the Oval Office on their 2008 ticket.

For everyone that died there, adults and children alike. Lives destroyed forever.

I live in Oregon, and the Umpqua massacre that people came out to protest President Obama visiting afterward? The Bundy standoff in Burns.

Pardon me if I'm tired but I am.

Yeah, when that Foxer said there must have been an onion (to make him cry), I wanted to ask her to read the names and ages of the children who died at Newtown. And if she could make it through that list without crying, well, she'd be a sociopath. Human beings want to protect children, and it is painful to realize how impossible that is when there are crazy gunners out there.
But maybe they really can unflinchingly see dead 7year olds and not cry.

Bubba, I have had a long term question that NO repube has ever even acknowledged:

We are supposedly the richest nation on earth. Why then do we have people - Hell, why do we have CHILDREN - without shelter or food or warmth, the very basic necessities?

@Leland; why do we have children without shelter or food? Argle-bargle freedom of choice argle freeloadin' parasites bargle-argle pull 'emselves up by their own bootstraps, SHUT UP THAT'S WHY.

Yeah, 4:42, I get that a lot. And when I do, I have to laugh at them and tell them that isn't an answer that has a bit sense to it (in other words, total bullshit!) and that it denies their jesus totally. They don't like that and usually walk away. So my question is still unanswered.

Hey Bubba Joe - agree with your dislike of Fox and Rush but I draw the line at nukes. Perhaps instead being laughed out of existence? Or, even better, they wake up one morning to find they are no longer relevant; like buggy whips in the twentieth century. I believe that would be a fair and balanced fate. :)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: you only need to read the details in the aftermath of a child dying of bullet wounds after finding a loaded gun to see them (even the parents) say philosophically, "He/she had a good life." Five years old? He had a good life? Really?

The Right-wing do not value their children like normal people do.

  18. I've said it before...and I'll say it again. It's now time to show the slaughtered bodies. Show what guns can do. And if you don't show the bodies, at least show the room after the bodies were taken out. It's the only thing that will wake people UP.

Americans glorify violence so I'm not sure showing the riddled bodies with the blood and brain matter will accomplish your goal. In fact in my imagination it would boost hi-def TV sales. We are like that.

What will wake people up? Their individual bubble has to pop. I've found people insulate themselves against cold hard reality and until that 'comfort' zone is removed, the snooze button is an easy reach. I wish I had answers... all I have is questions.

  19. I guess Obama and the Secret Service agents were faking it or are big wussies but John Boehner crying over every little thing was genuine? Or perhaps it's was because Boehner was drunk.

Are they implying Obama and the agents are drunks too?

Whatever it is, it is a sad indictment of our country when even the deaths of these children can't melt the hearts of the right wing nut jobs. Nothing has been done about gun control, but more guns and ammo have been sold after each incident.

The NRA should be labeled a terrorist organization. I can't understand why legitimate hunters would voluntarily align themselves with such a morally corrupt and emotionally frigid organization.
