Canada has a message for America concerning this 2016 presidential race.

I don't know about all of you but I think I am shifting my support to Canada.

That's a hell of a platform.

Anything is a hell of a platform compared to the hateful, lying cheating Republicans who call themselves a political party. We'd better send a loud and clear, united message that this nation is done pretending the GOP cares about the Constitution. They do not. They are greedy, white supremacist jerks, and we must get them out of every office they hold in this country.

"They are greedy, white supremacist jerks,..."

You left out misogynist. But I suppose that's understandable because Gryphen would run out of space if we tried to list ALL of them - and that's just the minor ones!

Colbert had a hilarious segment last night on the latest Rubio ad.

Apparently it used stock footage from Canada, including a scene that showed Americans lamenting losing jobs because of Obama with a tugboat flying a Canadian flag leaving Vancouver.

So much for Republican job creation-maybe in Canada.

Colbert did the whole segment with the Canadian anthem and finished with Rubio dressed as a Mountie!

We Canadians hate the fact that y'all are blaming us for producing the colossal stain known as Ted Cruz. He left our great country at 4 years old and was brought up in yours. The U.S. is responsible for shaping his sick ideals; stop blaming Canada!

Hey Canada! Two words. Stephen Harper. 'Member him - your former right wing (two terms!) Prime Minister? And don't lecture us about our race problem when you have quite a culture divide of your own up there -- that isn't so benign.

Now on the whole I like Canada and it certainly isn't as violent as the US, but it's not perfect either.

Don't forget Quebec !! They threaten to cede from Canada every other day.

They do have their share of loonies up there and I'm not talking about $.

    2. Yes, but a huge majority of us up here loathed his right-wing politics (he even allowed a form of Fox TV News, but it failed due to low viewing by Canadians & loud campaigns to get rid of it).

And Harper didn't win a mandate in either election -- only 39% of Canadians voted for him last time. So our election system needs a huge overhaul, just like yours, including the Democratic nomination process!

Nope, we're not perfect at all, but we got shut of Cruz, will you? don't know how you're gonna get rid of Trump. He "spits on the Pope" and ... nothin... but let's see how he does today in S.C.

I have dual U.S.-Canadian citizenship and have been so proud of what Obama has accomplished for you and the world -- I know he's not perfect, but at least moving in the right direction, not back to witch hunting days...

So Houston we all have a problem if any of those goopers get elected, or continue to hold America hostage in Congress.

    3. It doesn't stop with Harper, we've still got Rob Ford, Ezra Levant, the Wildrose party and the god dammed Fraser institute. Furthermore, Quebec isn't the only province that wants to leave. The rumblings start up in Alberta whenever oil goes up down or stays the same.

So, yeah, we got ours too.

@ 7:34 AM - Agreed, we do, indeed, have our share of loonies in Canada but not in the percentages as you have in the U.S. Quebec had two sovereignty referendums; one in 1980 and another in 1995 - nothing since then. Quebec's current Premier is Philippe Couillard, leader of the provincial Liberal Party.

  9. @7:34 - surely you meant to write "secede" -- and "every other day" is understandable from an American point of view and sound bites that do filter through the loud American-centered media. And, from here, too (at one point) it seemed like every other day but even Quebecers are tired of such threats.

As for "loonies" (8:14) YES, we do, and we even call our $1 coin a Looney for the engraving of a loon (bird) on one side and the $2 coin a Two-nie. Ha-ha, eh? That's quiet Canadian humour for you.

And, yes, we spell humor with a "u" -- British influence.
Autospell hates it and I usually let it win, but not today.

How sad is it that i actually checked on retiring to Canada if Trump were to win? The sad thing was when I found out we needed 800k to invest there or we couldn't.

Yes! Go Canada, number one in being above the lower 48!!! I've already got dual citizenship, but I'd much rather stay in the US than move to Italy. Thanks, Canada, for taking care of my husband on 911! We still keep in touch with the fine folks who took him in and treated him better than family. You never forget people like that.
