George W. Bush hits the campaign trail for his brother Jeb! Why not? After all how much worse can it get?

AArrgghh!!! I was wrong, this is worse!

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

George W. Bush never mentioned Donald Trump. But with his folksy touch, the former president unleashed a tough takedown Monday of the billionaire businessman who has upended a Republican Party his family has long led.

"I understand Americans are angry and frustrated," Bush said during his first campaign rally for his brother, Jeb Bush. "But we do not need somebody in the Oval Office who mirrors and inflames our anger and frustration."

The former president emerged from his self-imposed political hibernation to try to give Bush a boost. He layered each validation of his younger brother with an implicit critique of Trump.

He urged voters to back a candidate who will be "measured and thoughtful" on the world stage. A candidate whose "humility" helps him understand what he doesn't know. A candidate who can win in November's general election.

"All the sloganeering and all the talk doesn't matter if we don't win," Bush said. "We need somebody who can take a positive message across the country."

Jeb Bush can win in November?

Hah! He can't even win ONE of his own party's primaries.

In fact he can't even place among the top three in the primaries.

And if he thinks that bringing his brother out of the mothballs and shoving him in front of the American people is going to help him one little bit, well then he drastically underestimates the damage that George W's presidency did to this country.

Now if you will excuse me I have to perform my "seeing George W. Bush on TV" ritual, which is to go into a closet and scream until I can't scream anymore.

I saw some of this last night and thought how in hell did we survive eight years of that goober. The answer- barely, and sadly too many did not!

  2. As much as I dislike Trump, he had me jumping out of my seat when he started going off on W's responsibility for 911 and the Iraq War. The Democrats should have been screaming like that years ago.

Dakota's supporting the wrong candidate. Ted Cruz doesn't have a snowball's chance of ever being President.

On the bright side of that coin, it proves MALOE was right -- he's not the baby daddy, otherwise he would not dare support The Lost Munster.

Georgie looks as though he hits the bottle regularly. He looks ROUGH. Brought back memories of his presidency - ALL BAD. Jeb! is a dud, no personality whatsoever, just bland. I wonder where his wife was? Is she not allowed to be around the rest of the clan?

WBush is basically the white Obama. A suit with manipulators around him. W comes across as more down to earth and nicer though. Obama does seem nice however. His marriage just appears forced.

Just finished watching President Obama's speech and he actually said he did not think Trump would be elected POTUS!

Obama first made it clear he’s troubled by the rhetoric coming not just from Trump, but from his Republican rivals. He said there’s “pretty troubling” comments on immigrants from other candidates.

The president scolded all the Republicans for denying climate change before zoning in on Trump again:

“I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president. And the reason is because I have a lot of faith in the American people. And I think they recognize that being president is a serious job, it’s not hosting a talk show or a reality show. It’s not promotion, it’s not marketing. It’s hard.”

Obama added that being president means actually knowing things about the world and so is confident America will make a “sensible choice in the end.”

At first I wondered "What is he thinking?" then, I heard bush, screamed at the top of my lungs into the closet, and changed the question to "Can he think?". Best Idea, ever!!! Dust off Former President and First Lady with one red outfit, to prove to the world you're a "Bush Bro".
Now if this were SNL, then by all means, it's funny. A much better move would have been George W wearing an exclamation point oufit, preferably yellow, minion like, and fuzzy, gotta be fuzzy.
Hey, Former President Bush, no one misunderestimated you then, and no one misunderestimates you now. Go home, take a nap, and do some finger painting.
Jeb just nailed his foot to the porch floor, watch his numbers slide down.
Where are Columba, Noelle, and Jorje? Oh wait, Sarah tried that and it sunk her, anyone seen hide or hair of Carrie Prejean???

  19. "But we do not need somebody in the Oval Office who mirrors and inflames our anger and frustration."

Isn't that pretty much was Bush did? He started an unjustified war to revenge his Daddy. He lied to do it. He was intentionally divisive. He (and Cheney and Rove) laid the groundwork for the party choosing Sarah Palin

What does he hope to gain? Of the remaining candidates Jeb! is on the bottom soon to be joined by Carson.

Unless Jeb! is holding on because there are some back door promises that he'll win the brokered convention, there is no need for him to continue. He should drop out.

Personally, I think it's naive of Jeb! to think that George (and their mother) campaigning for him is going to have any sort of positive outcome. Too many people are wary of a dynasty. If they didn't like the Kennedy dynasty they sure aren't going to settle for a Bush the Dumber dynasty.

Doesn't jeb remember his brother to that evil Cheney. I think people just hate Cheney. Jeb was wrong to bring the jungle.
