If you had told me that I would be pissed off at a guy for being disrespectful to Trey "Benghazi Witchhunt" Gowdy I would have laughed in your face.
But somehow this POS makes that happen.
And when he smirks, nods derisively, and acts like a dick to my man Elijah Cummigs, THAT deserves a Costco sized can of Whoop-ass in my opinion.
For those who are unfamiliar with the context.
I am actually surprised that no one has killed him yet.
ReplyDeleteI surprised republicans found something about which they can agree with democrats.
DeleteWhat's next, the Duggars getting our approval?
Wait for it.
DeleteThat is what "insane" looks like!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable. What a nasty little person he is. The good news: I believe in karma and she can be a real bitch.
ReplyDeleteYes. I can hardly wait for that smug little turd to get his comeuppance.
DeleteWould love to meet ole Marty and bitch slap that smirk off his face.
ReplyDeleteNot that he wouldn't benefit from a therapeutic beating, but this the attitude of the drug companies across the board. And the congressmen and senators who won't allow medicare to negotiate the best price. Vote the motherfuckers who are responsible for this out of office. Regulate this shit.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree 6:34. There is a whole load of reprehensible going on behind the scenes, and Smarty Marty is just the loser who crawled out of the ground and had the light shown on him.
DeleteIt's like carpenter ants, see one and destroy it, but you'd better find the nest too or they will multiply unchecked.
Mildred
Why hasn't Bernie Sanders mentioned drug price reductions for Americans in his campaign? Does anybody know his record on this issue?
DeleteHe has. Often. It's a key part of his campaign and he has sponsored legislation in the Senate to change the law so Medicare can set prices with the drug companies. He wants to ban what Shkrel and his ilk do, allow importation of generics, and discount prices for poor Medicare patients.
DeleteIf you don't like Shkreli and you want to do more about it than comment on blogs (not that there's anything wrong with that) Bernie's your man.
Just keep in mind, raising the price of a well-known drug which put it out of reach of those who need it wasn't what brought him to a congressional hearing. It was a ponzi scheme that dipped in to the pockets of his fellow one-percenters that did the trick. Trashing poor people=no problem; messing around with rich people's money=legal disaster.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
DeleteAnd for that he *will* go to prison.
Hopefully he will have to sell his drugs to someone more socially responsible to pay his legal fees.
I am so looking forward to this guy getting a reality check in prison.
Where are the people supplying raw materials? They should stop supplying if they have need of pills. Yeah. A d*!k.
DeleteHe better not smirk like that when he goes to jail (and he will)...he won't last 5 minutes pulling that shit
ReplyDeleteAnd if he goes to a "country club" prison, it would be even worse--imagine all those old, fat, bald Trump-ish bankers pressing themselves upon him.
DeleteUgggghhhhhh!!
The Federal pens are not as bad as the state-run ones. Many years ago I had an acquaintance who spent two years in a Fed lockup for white-collar crime. I got to know him well enough to ask him if he was ever assaulted while in prison. He said "No, that in Federal pens they keep people pretty well isolated from each other so there was little chance of that happening."
DeleteSo we'll have to wait for karma to catch up with Shkreli -- which it will, just give it time.
I hope the IRS audits him and finds something to put him away for a good many years if he can't be prosecuted for being such a despicable, abysmal human being.
ReplyDeleteGood God! This guy is no worse than the people we have sitting in Congress right now. They are answering to the lobbyist who support the drug industry and THEY 'allow' all drugs to be horribly expensive for the American people!
DeleteWe should go after them vs this one guy who is a scientist.
It's amazing to me to see what is being said here! We need to vote many folks out of Congress and put new - young people in - and establish term limits.
This guy is just a tiny negative in the whole scheme of things as to the drug industry and how they are ripping off Americans.
At least, he has discovered a drug that is suppose to help cancer patients. And, yes, it will be expensive no matter who discovered it!
This guy doesn't need to be in jail - our United States Congressmen and women need to be and/or voted out of office when they come up for re election!
This guy needs to be in jail. That doesn't go away just because there are people out there doing the same thing and worse.
DeleteHe is not a scientist. He is a Wall Street worm
DeleteInfuriating does not cover my disgust.
ReplyDeleteeminent domain his patent
ReplyDeleteInfuriating does not begin to describe my disgust.
ReplyDeleteCruz/Shkreli for the GOP nomination!!
ReplyDeleteI would think that $imple $arah would want to get Bristol hooked up with him right away, provided she could keep him from finding out about Trig and Tristans' secrets.
ReplyDeleteThink how much they have in common!
This guy is the poster child for Republican values right now.
ReplyDeleteThat drug stuff he pulled was "perfectly legal" (but not the fraud he is charged with.)
That cornering of a drug and price gouging is the Republican way.
Bernie Sanders should be using this POS as a campaign talking point and use that fucking smirk in visuals.
Miaiuppa, I should think that if you really wanted this guy in prison, the last thing you would wish for is Bernie using him as campaign issue - at least, not by name. Doing that would merely give the defense ammunition. They would be able to claim an inability to get a fair trial. Or, at least, try that.
DeleteGail Collins has a wonderful column in today's NY Times, which leads off with the fact that, in our divided times, everyone can agree that they are disgusted by Martin Skhreli.
ReplyDeleteWell sure he's awful but he is a symptom of a terrible system of financial incentives that allows predators to profit from illness. We ignore the slicksters in suits who do the same thing but don't boast about it on Twitter - just in the statements they send their shareholders.
ReplyDeleteSquawking about this asshole is an easy dodge for Congress. Let's not waste too much time on him but continue to do nothing about drug prices.
My feelings too!
DeleteWatch those holding office in our U.S. Congress - they are much worse and being paid off by the lobbyist (drug supporters)that allow the high prices we are all paying!
The 'smirking' guy is the least of our problems! He's a scientist - so, we should respect (?) him in that regard - he's suppose to have developed a new drug for cancer which, of course, will be horribly expensive for anyone that will need to use it!
Ben Carson does brain surgery too..
DeleteYep. Shkreli is not a scientist though and did not develop the drug. He's just another in a long line of Wall Street hucksters who screw their fellow Americans every way they can think of.
DeleteHis confidence that Congress will do nothing is not misplaced.
He is a symptom of terrible social values, lack of ethics, empathy, morals and quite simply BAD PARENTING.
DeleteUnless this guy is a certified sociopath, in which case he should still be locked up.
Shkreli is a product of the good ol' American "greed is good" mantra with a healthy dose of deny, deny, deny. He's got enough money to buy himself out of any situation....he thinks. He can hire the best lawyers and then pay them not to gag and heave when the defend him.
He is a shining example of how Republican deregulation is literally killing America. His avarice will kill people. I only wish they could charge him with murder when it does.
WOW! He's Big Pharma's very own Baldy Palin! Baldy has been exposing the Republicans as racist, anti-people since her debut! Now you got this smirking fool exposing what Big Pharma have been doing forever and getting away with it!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, unlike the Repubs who don't t have the guts to take Baldy down...me thinks Big Pharma won't have any trouble getting "rid" of that guy!
How ironic would it be if he was found dead of a drug overdose! LOL!!
3 words: spoiled, entitled, sociopath.
ReplyDeleteAnd then he badmouthed the panel after the hearing. I watched the entire thing. He had a difficult time hiding his feelings that is for sure!
ReplyDeleteHe made no effort to hide his 'feelings'.
DeleteThat's the face of a depraved soul, American greed at its finest. Psychopath.
ReplyDeleteHe is as repulsive as Cruz.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like he could be Cruz's little brother.
DeleteHe has the same "look in his EYEs" as James Eagan Holmes, the Aurora CO, theater shooter ALWAYS has..
ReplyDeleteHe does, but the really scary thing is that Holmes has schizophrenia, whilst this guy is apparently perfectly functional.
DeleteLets get an interview with his parents just to satisfy the question, who raised this little piece of shit. Maybe mommy can explain his behavior......
ReplyDeleteWhy automatically blame his mother?
DeleteWhile he's smirking, check out the look on his attorney's face behind him. O/T Red State, The Hill has a piece about anti-trump superpac with a political ad featuring john mccain, this shit just gets better and better HooHah!
ReplyDeleteHe lacks empathy and is essentially an emotionally retarded brat. Hopefully he will get his own sometime down the road.
ReplyDeleteOT,but off to the left of the site under Bogroll there is Juanita Jeans blog.Check out todays post.http://juanitajean.com/it-just-got-real-personal/
ReplyDeleteRachel Maddow should be notified. RM requests this kind of information.
Deleteomigod. Do you suppose the Cruz campaign can actually claim returned checks as donations? Screwy.
DeleteI sent her a link, thanks for the info!
DeleteHe is no different than any sociopath without a speck of empathy for any living creature, except that it is clear that Shkreli derives actual pleasure from the idea of harming or upsetting others.
ReplyDeleteThat my friend is defined here as>SADISM
Deletehttps://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadism
Like one cannot be a sadistic sociopath?
DeleteActually the real crime here is that Shkreli misdirected attention away from the other POS drug company execs. His outlandish behavior has everyone talking while the others behaved just as badly and mostly went unnoticed
ReplyDeleteOT-"Gun her down in cold blood">
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rawstory.com/2016/02/wisconsin-man-bought-gun-and-practiced-before-killing-co-worker-who-spurned-his-advances-it-was-easy/
The best of all worlds would have him put in a heavy-duty poor people's prison, while the attention that has been drawn by his actions to the broader issue of outlandish drug profits for big pharma actually propels people to elect Congress people who will reign in the drug companies.
ReplyDeleteAs terrible as I think he is, it was only a matter of time before someone took advantage of the laws that favor pharmaceutical companies and free enterprise. I blame the backroom pharma deals made prior to the ACA. I honestly don't see how he can make any money out of what he's done given that no one can afford to buy his product.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm missing something here?
He's counting on gouging the insurance companies.
DeleteI rarely want to throw a brick at my television, but if his face was within bullseye distance, I'd strangle him with my own hands and give him a little kick in a place he won't soon forget. He's in the wrong business for the wrong reason. If this drug could cure some mobster's wife, and he couldn't afford it, believe me, this guy would disappear, never to be found again.
ReplyDeleteJeb and Shkreli!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/02/06/jeb-bush-receives-worst-endorsement-ever-definitely-does-not-want-anyone-to-clap/
