New ad released by Donald Trump prominently features Sarah Palin. Update!

For those who have been saying that Palin invited herself to Iowa and that Trump is making distance, I think this ad proves otherwise.

Clearly Trump thinks that Palin is a plus positive for his campaign despite all of the baggage that she brings with her.

Speaking of baggage here is a little of the coverage that Palin's meltdown on the Today Show received thus far.

The New York Daily News:

The one-time vice presidential candidate flipped out on live TV as soon as the interview went off script — circling back to bizarre campaign trail comments she made about her son’s PTSD.

People Magazine:

Palin appeared on the Today show on Monday in her first live interview since endorsing Donald Trump. But the 51-year-old seemed caught off guard – and irritated – when asked about her statements suggesting that Obama is to blame for her oldest son, Track's, PTSD.

Raw Story:

The “Today” show’s co-anchors made Sarah Palin squirm by asking her to explain why she appeared to blame President Barack Obama for her son’s domestic violence arrest.

The Daily Beast

Sarah Palin Freaks Out on ‘Today Show’ Over PTSD Question

Donald Trump's highest-profile endorser had a meltdown Monday morning.

Sarah Palin doesn't like being asked questions about questionable things she has said.

Gawker

Just a week after blaming President Obama for her son’s domestic violence arrest, Sarah Palin went on the Today Show to deny ever blaming President Obama for her son’s domestic violence arrest.

TV Newser:

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, in Iowa to campaign for Donald Trump, was clearly unhappy with a question from Today co-host Savannah Guthrie about her son’s recent arrest, accusing the show of breaking a promise to stick to politics.

The Hill:

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin went after members of the media on the "Today" show Monday after her interview drifted toward questions about her son's arrest and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Well so much for Sarah Palin bringing that evangelical credibility to the Trump campaign.

Still I doubt, as usual, that this will cause any damage to the Donald's chances of winning Iowa.

As for Palin's reputation however?

Well you've heard the term "death by a thousand cuts?"

This is yet another one.

Update: Here is Palin accusing Ted Cruz surrogate Steve "Calves like cantaloupes" King of huffing ethanol.

I don't usually give a lot of credibility to reports that Palin is drunk. But take a listen to this and tell me if that is not the first thing you suspect.

I wonder why so many veteran groups spoke out against Sarah Palin for blaming the president Obama for Track's PTSD. They wouldn't protest her remarks is she never made them LOL.

She doesn't remember. Some guy on twitter says to me "Is Sarah Palin a drinker? Do YOU know about PTSD"?
Iblocked him but first I told him and you think that speech was normal?
She is basically condoning Domestic violence by her Son b/c he supposedly has PTSD!
Was this screech from Today Gryhen? I expected her to be WAY worse, the day is not over yet, still time for shouty page and interviews. Still waiting for her to address the Veteran who spit in her coffee.
Gryhpen as for her being drunk, google 'Sarah go home you're drunk" on all the Con websites starting with Red STate! Even THEY can see it re: her last screech.

      Trump "respect" for veterans

      Ames, Iowa July 2015

AMES, Iowa — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), a decorated Vietnam War veteran, on Saturday by saying McCain was not a war hero because he was captured by the North Vietnamese.

“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said. Sarcastically, Trump quipped, “He’s a war hero because he was captured.” Then, he added, “I like people that weren’t captured.”

So, I'll bet you millions that Donald Trump IS paying her to show up. She wouldn't do it for free - if it's not money - it's a guarantee of something beneficial he can provide her/them!

Steve King Suggests Trump May Have Bought Off Palin for Endorsement

He pointed out that no one really says no to Trump, and very strongly intimated Palin may have been bought off:

“He has a massive amount of assets and resources that he can deploy when it comes time to convince someone. And that has to affect the way people think. Not only the plus-ups of the promotion, the limelight, all the resources that are there.”

...Donald Trump told a crowd of supporters that if they happened to see protesters getting ready to lob a tomato, they should “knock the crap out of them.” Trump began his speech by noting that he had received a warning from the “wonderful security guys.” He said:

There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience. So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell— I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise. It won’t be so much ’cause the courts agree with us too.

Yeah, the posters are right about the news covering not just her meltdown this morning but her cutting remarks about King. We won't find out for a while--and maybe we never will because Trump surely knows how to hide what he wants hidden--but King had good reason to say what he did. Her Jake Tapper interview is too good. her answers go around and around and Tapper just stares and waits for her to say something that means anything.

But I'm not reading much into the Trump commercial. If near the end they showed Palin again and maybe embracing Trump, okay, but what I saw was that they used a few quite sound bites that included words that echoed his own statements. And they needed something to break up the monotony of Trump's own voice and she was the one female, and with a very different voice that suited the crescendo building of the commercial, that he had on hand and could use. It wouldn't have been the same if, say, Ivanka's voice had been used. The only thing that bothers me about the commercial is that you know it's gone to Palin's head.

Every time that Sarah opens her mouth she confirms a number of things.
    1. She does not have a degree in journalism or in communication. What a garbled mess. Were there any complete sentences in there?
    2. If she is not medicated, then she should be. The screeching and weird changes in her voice make her sound crazy. Calling her drunk would be a compliment.
    3. That preacher jacket is getting tiresome.
    4. There is little response from the audience. They don't laugh at what she perceives as jokes. They remained silent until some one off screen energized the crowd like the "applause" sign in a tv show.
    5. Whatever magic Sarah might have once had, it's gone. What a mess.

One more point, and this one is for you, Sarah, since you do read the comment here. A good sport who has just been parodied on SNL laughs and calls it a compliment. When you protest, it shows what a thin skin you have. When you try to say that it's your kids who are watching, we know that it's you, and you hate it, or you would be able to laugh it off. Tina Fey doesn't need to appear on SNL. She produces, writes and stars in movies. She and Amy just presented Carol Burnett with an award at the Screen Actors Guild. I don't see them inviting YOU to present anything. Tina and Amy are always a hit when they host the Golden Globes or present awards. And, Tina has won awards for political parody, playing you. You can't get over it. Every time you try to get a little insult in there, you show how thin your skin is.

Give me a break she probably scooted through there with a C average and did get a degree, just like her kids, basically a degree that wasn't worth shit, kind of like a GED for an adult at a cut rate state school.

She never attended a "real" college that required bona fides to attend. Anyone can get a degree at a state public school, or multiple state schools, in her case, with very little effort.

That piece of paper has little to actually say about the intelligence of the person behind it. It says that she could somehow come up with $2500/semester to attend a crappy school; they give degrees to basically anyone that bothers to put in the time. It cost her less than a few mortgage payments to attend these types of schools.

Trump's last-minute Iowa vets contribution and meanness about Cruz and goofing up on Bible references and other behavior, as well as not really standing for anything, is, I believe, something he feared would sour some voters and he wanted to use Palin to help with any possible lost votes.

I heard on Fox that Trump had two events earlier today. One was very sparsely attended (the reporter's words) and he cut out early, asking to leave early so he could make it on time to his next event. That next one, they said, had Palin at it and was not as well attended as expected either and during Trump's speech some people were walking out. It's true that people are at work today and other events aren't super-populated, but this was the first time I heard Fox talk this way about trump events.

I wonder if she's Sarah voyant? "He who will be president" WTF? Check your vape pipe, granny, I think one of the kids added a little crushed something something.
She who had calves like a stick figure will never amount to anything. At least Maverick McCain seems to have a shred of regret, she's siding with the asshole who doesn't like veterans who were captured.
They deserve each other. Hey, Melania, get yourself checked, your husband may bring home some disease or zika virus after touching she who perhaps tried to rob a bank, but she tied up the safe and blew the guard.

Trump will probable win Iowa, but will this stimulate the media to finally start doing their job by asking Trump real questions and require that he answer.

He has gotten a free ride so far, when are they going to research the real Donald?

Heck no. She spends at least 2 hours on the road every day and 8 hours working hard every day. Then there's her blog, so that's another hour or two. She's busy like 12 hours a day! Then there's all those kids in her household. She barely has time to sleep she's workin' and bloggin' so hard!

My home is Iowa and her comment about huffing ethanol in a cornfield struck me viscerally, more than just a kick in the gut. It was a put down of Iowa and the citizens of Iowa, disrespectful and condescending. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way and I noticed the dead silence after her careless remark that she thought was so cute. That and her narcissistic projection - she's the one who hid somewhere today while she had a few swigs and huffs of alcohol, it's quite obvious.
