Nothing gets Jeb Bush as riled up as people "attacking" his brother. In that case Jeb! might want to skip reading this post.

Courtesy of Politico:

During a 35-minute discussion for POLITICO’s “Off Message” podcast, the former Florida governor was at turns deeply reflective about the long-term implications of the brutal Republican primary on his party — and personally engaged in dismantling his opponents, especially his protégé-turned-rival Rubio, who, he believes, is too callow, inexperienced and calculating to be president.

But Bush was most emotional when I asked what he’d learned from his brother’s tumultuous final few years as one of the most unpopular presidents in modern history.

“I would say the last part of my brother’s time, the part I didn’t like, was that they just let the incoming come,” Bush said, his voice rising. “I got tired of that, tired because I love my brother, and my impulse watching the news in the last three years where they — no one seemed to defend him — was get out there and fight.”

Gee, poor widdle Jeb.

Had to stand by and watch while the media went after his brother for almost destroying the fucking country.

The reason that "no one seemed to defend him" is because what he had done was indefensible.

He lied to the America people. Started two unnecessary wars. Stood by and did nothing while people drowned during Katrina. Was President during the worst terrorist attack in American history. And virtually destroyed the economy.

And that is by no means everything.

In fact as far as many Americans are concerned one the biggest travesties of our time is that George W. and this cohorts were not found guilty of treason and are not sitting in federal penitentiaries right now.

So if Jeb Bush does not want to hear bad things said about his brother, then perhaps he ought to end his failing campaign, go home, unplug his television and computer, and hide under the covers for the next thirty years or so.

Oh, and Fuck you and your entire criminal family.

Jeb has not read enough to know the facts about his brothers presidency.

Jeb needs to find a hobby. Painting perhaps?

The rhetorical stumbles, wonkish demeanor and awkward humor that have defined Jeb’s flagging White House bid were on neon display in Jeb 1994 political campaign. Women on welfare, Bush had said, “should be able to get their life together and find a husband.” Gays and lesbians, he said, do not deserve special legal protections because “we have enough special categories, enough victims, without creating even more.” Asked what he would do for African-Americans, he famously replied, “probably nothing.”

And in the same article: He slammed a balled right fist into an open left palm — with such force that it rattled the two microphones set up on the small table in the back of the bus — and shouted, “Hit back!”

Somebody needs to tell jeb! that Obama really did keep America safe. W, not so much.

Jeb is incapable of expressing simple concepts, positions, and ideas. He is unqualified to be POTUS. Somebody needs to ask him what he reads.

"...they just let the incoming come..."? Like the shoe you mean? That kind of thing? Why weren't there more shoes thrown? Why aren't your dunderhead brother and his criminal friends in jail.

I suppose you meant shoe throwing.

I have a somewhat amusing story to tell about my dyslexic family.

18-year-old son texts my husband "I bought a toe strap". Husband asks 24-year-old son who is with him "what is a toe strap". 24-year-old son says a "toe strap" is something you use to secure something you tow.

All three have dyslexia. This was the first time my husband ever joked about dyslexia.

So, for Jeb, while people were dying in the Middle East for no rational reason and while the US and world economies were coming unglued, all that mattered was that "they just let the come." What, on earth, does that mean? Didn't Jeb ever warn his brother that it was likely that the real estate bubble that had first burst in Florida while he was governor was likely to spread and cause major grief to millions of homeowners? How blind are the Bush family members that they do not understand that people lost homes, jobs, retirement funds, savings, just about everything because his brother was such a disaster as president?

    1. No, they do not understand. His mother didn't teach her children to take responsibility just to take, as is their right as Bushes, I guess.

And, to have empathy, requires a sense of fair play, justice and an emotional intelligence, which mommy doesn't appear to have, so ... nothing to pass on. Not their fault, I guess.

Former First Lady Barbara Bush said of the war in Iraq: "Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

“They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.”

Oops, the key unintelligible word in the Jeb quote was "incoming" and it got lost along the way. I truly have no idea what he meant by that statement.

Don't forget Laura Bush killed someone in a head on crash when she was 16 (nobody knows if alcohol was involved). Not even a police report from that. Laura claimed affluenza which is common in Texass.

Jeb has always looked DS to me, slightly, but still, features are odd, he has a winky eye and the microencephaly. I think somehow the family managed to get this special kid much further than a less right family would've.

  11. When a right winger starts whining to me about how liberals hated W, so they think hating President Obama is just fair play . . . . I remind them of the Bush years and then begin to tell their sorry asses that if Barack Obama
had let 1/10 of the things happen during his administration that Bush had---republicans would have dragged him and his family out of the WH. The kids and dogs too.

And what crap do you get when you asked them what this president has done to destroy the country? Dumb ass Fox talking points that can be disproved in a second. Then of course it all comes down to Obama not American lalalalalalalalala, hates this country, lalalalalalal. Not like all the rest of us (meaning stupid people).

So Jeb can boo hoo about his brother's nightmare presidency all he wants. How does he think we felt living through it?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anonymous2:04 PM

No one defended his brother? What a load of crap. He and his sycophants ran to Fox News whenever they could to talk up how safe W was keeping us. Sorry, Jeb. Some of us remember W's reign and it was not good for this country.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous2:10 PM

Oh and let's not forget this truth: In 2008, the last full year of W's presidency, he took his family and extended family (siblings, nieces, nephews, etc.) on his worldwide farewell tour. On Air Force One. On the taxpayers' dime. Worldwide. Not just to Peoria. Worldwide. Iraq, where the show was thrown at him. The Olympics, where he was spotted pinching Kari Walsh's butt and looking disheveled and drunk. All of this while the economy sank deeper in to a depression/recession. W was a POS and deserves the title of 'worst president ever.' But you know, Jesus and all. Cause that's what he would run to all the time; how he was born again and deeply religious. What a load of crap.

Hey Jeb! you seem disconnected from the reality of how much of America and the world feel about your brother, so let me help you out:

May you lose all your hair. May every parking space you try to pull into already have a motorcycle parked in it. May you step on Legos in your bare feet every day. May every piece of fruit you ever try to eat have worms in it. May every bed in every house you and every member of your family own become incurably infested with bedbugs. May each and every member of the Bush family come to know a quarter of a percent of the misery, fear and stress you and yours have visited upon the American people.

Oh, and fuck you, you miserable excuse of a human being. I kind of wish you'd be the Repub nominee, just to watch Hillary or Bernie smash you like a bug. Die forgotten.

I agree that wishing bed bugs on Jeb!s family is excessively harsh. They probably have a lot of expensive upholstery and rugs and whatnot. The fumigation charges could be ruinous! Then there would be depreciation on the fumigation and insecticides to be amortized and written off.

"I wish you'd have given me this written question ahead of time so I could plan for it...I'm sure something will pop into my head here in the midst of this press conference, with all the pressure of trying to come up with answer, but it hadn't yet...I don't want to sound like I have made no mistakes. I'm confident I have. I just haven't -- you just put me under the spot here, and maybe I'm not as quick on my feet as I should be in coming up with one." --after being asked to name the biggest mistake he had made, Washington, D.C., April 3, 2004

I will admit to not reading all of the comments, but I take serious issue with one of your statements: GWB and Cheney were not found guilty of treason (or war crimes) in this country because they weren't even tried.

That was when I lost all respect for Pelosi when she said that was off the table.

They were guilty as per the Hague and UN. Period.

There was no pardon as there was no trial. Individual countries--not the Hague, found Bush and Co. guilty of war crimes.

Give poor Jeb! a break. He comes from humble roots, forced to share a mansion in Kinnebunckport Maine with his family and his mommy obviously loved him more than George, so now he feels guilty he got coddled and handled with kid gloves while George dodged going to war, and started two wars that caused a chain reaction to the terrorism we have today. His greatest accomplishment was dodging Mrs Sheeran (sp?), who's son died in a friendly fire incident and his forms said he died in combat. All she wanted was to talk and find the truth from the horses mouth. He choked on a pretzel, and proved to be an artful dodger of flying shoes, couldn't find a door that would open, and gave the world "bushisms" to laugh at forever.
What is it you like about George, again, Jeb!?

Get a thick skin, learn something, and drop the damn exclamation point, you look like a fool, the world knows you're a Bush.
