So is Jeb Bush on the verge of dropping out of the race?

Okay so I saw that tweet yesterday, and my first response was "bullshit."

I mean there is no way that Jeb, with his name recognition and so much money at his disposal, is not going to stay in for the long haul.

Right?

But then this courtesy of Politico:

A top Jeb Bush adviser on Friday morning repeatedly dodged the question of whether the former Florida governor will stay in the presidential race if he disappoints in South Carolina, instead saying the campaign is laser focused on Saturday's primary.

Okey dokey.

So look I get it, being Jeb Bush right now must suck balls.

I mean everyday he must wake up and say, "Dammit! It's not a dream, I really am being crushed by Donald Trump."

And that would be enough to grind down anybody's will, not only to campaign, but just to go on living even.

But if Bush does indeed drop out after Saturday, that is going to cause the kind of after shocks throughout the GOP the likes of which I don't think we have seen in decades.

And it really will be down the rabbit hole for the entire 2016 race. Assuming we have not been down that hole this entire time of course.

Without Donald Trump, in all likelihood Jeb would be the republican nominee, and 47% of the population (the stupid half) would vote for him in November.

Nope. He's got too much money and he intends on spending every cent of it. His expectations for South Carolina are low; a fourth or even a third place finish would be a 'win' in Jebya's camp. Sad as that is, he's in this race to stay. He'll continue to make a fool of himself and garner pity, and perhaps that pity will translate into a few extra votes for him. I believe his strategy is to hang on until the convention and hope for a brokered convention and be the last one standing. He really has nothing else to do. He's not employed anywhere; doesn't need to be. So what else would he be doing if he wasn't running for the job he always thought would be his anyway??

He doesn't really seem to be a contender against Trump so if he bows out then it becomes a Trump/Cruz race, which on the face of it will be so interesting, both for Cruz's possibility of not even having eligibility to run and for the continuation of Trump's bombastic campaign, which seems more like a wartime strategy of "rape and pillage" than it does an actual political campaign.

It looked for a while that TPTB in the GOP were pushing for Rubio to be the (comparatively) sane savior for the nomination when Trump flamed out and people realized what a despicable nutcase Cruz is.

However, with Rubio's pitiful performance in the debates, that plan seems to be in shambles, so Jebexclamationpoint may yet end up being the fallback-twice-removed that the party may look to in desperation.

And after all, Babs got herself some purty new shoes for the campaign trail and she doesn't want them to go to waste!

Folks lets talk about all the Washington DC political and media experts. The same ones that sent your jobs to China and sat on their thumbs before 9-11. These same idiots were fooled again while we invaded the wrong fucking country after 9-11. They thought we should invade Iraq because they were fooled by bogus intelligence. These people are assholes and deserve to be fired!

Now these same assholes think it's great that this loser Jeb! Bush might finish third in South Carolina? Like that's a goal? Finishing third? What the hell is wrong with these people?

Let me tell you one thing I know. In all my years of running companies I learned how to pick smart people. I also know how to spot assholes and liars. Let me tell you I know the difference between a #1 and a #2. No one ever tries to get a job working for me who wants to be a #3! Who the hell wants to be a number three?

No matter what all these political consultants and media losers try to tell you America I KNOW that Jeb! Bush and his idiot brother are both solid #2s! These guys are BIG SOLID #2s! The kind of BIG SOLID #2s you pay the plumber after hours extra charge to get rid of!

Do these people think we are stupid? More fucking Bush trainwrecks and disasters than we can pay for, and the guy that told Brownie he was doing a heck of a job after Katrina, this guy who puts food on his family, now he's telling us to give the job to his brother? Mission Accomplished!

Like Jim Trafficant used to say, Beam Me Up Scotty!

What do I think about the rest of the crowd?

Should I start with the two guys in a closet? The jerk from Canada and the doctor who forgot to bring enough clean clothes to Iowa? I mean what the hell? Who has a conference in a closet?

Unless it's one of those wide stance airport bathrooms situations. Why not get a room for an hour or two? Order up some room service and a hot babe or two to give you a rubdown if the current wife isn't handy or in the mood. Meet like important men, reach an understanding, call in the lawyers and write up a contract or settlement. Everyone important gets paid! Meeting in a closet? Where does the Republican party find these bozos?

Hang on just a minute. You'll have to excuse me for a little while. My assistant just told me I have a few other calls from major news media, they want to know what I think should be done about that shit filled trench out in Oregon at the bird refuge. I'll finish up with the jerk from Canada before I leave.

I hear he's pandering to the lowest of the low, the real knuckle draggers. I don't know for sure, are these Sovereign whatevers even registered to vote? Why give them what they want? They should be arrested and if they don't like it here in the USA then throw them out!

I hear the Cruz guy, now he wants to sell a bunch of parks and wildlife places! I'm gonna suggest that Ted Cruz could buy that tenth of an acre, the one with the trench full of shit, but maybe not. That would set a bad precedent. Next thing you know, that Cruz guy would have his nutter friends digging trenches and and shitting in them just to get Uncle Sugar to sell them the land on the cheap! They'd be digging trenches and shitting in them and building roads in the best places to build vacation houses and mine for gold. What do they call those guys? Was it Sovereign Citizens or felons? Build a road through a historical site and then dig a trench an shit in it? I'd ask what kind of stupid things they were thinking, but who cares? Want more bird refuges and scenic places with trenches full of shit? Vote Canada Cruz! Anyway, that kind of disrespectful crazy stuff will stop if you elect me.

The only people shitting in trenches will be the white collar crooks that we arrest for theft and slander! Gotta run, but I'll maybe have time to check in later.

Mr Trump wanted me to post that he's very busy but he intends to return and comment on the rest of the Republican primary field.

He said he will do it as soon as he has a few minutes free. Don also wants to remind everyone that some of these Republican losers probably will be FIRED! by the voters of South Carolina tomorrow. He will try and share his thoughts before the losers are forgotten by the American voters who FIRED! them.

As far as Sarah Palin, I think I have heard that she keeps sending emails to Mr Trump's spam folder. Mr Trump may have more to say about her and those Duck goofballs tomorrow.

You can let Mr Trump know you support his message by chanting USA at least eight times. Be sure to do it loudly enough so the people in the other condos or on their yachts in the marina can hear you!

Jeb! is so pathetic. South Carolina is supposed to be Bush country. His daddy and his brother won the state about nine million times but he is STILL polling about 10% even after he finally brought in Mama Bush and Brother Bush.

You're done buddy. Admit it. It's all about his ego at this point. He's so desperate to beat Trump or knock Trump down in the polls. But it NEVER happens.

By staying in he's helping to split the so-called "mainstream" vote and helping guarantee a Trump nomination.

A call went out last night to Jeb Bush campaign operatives informing them that there is no money left to pay campaign staffers. Donations to the Jeb PAC “Right To Rise” have ironically fallen precipitously over the last few weeks and came to a grinding halt after last Saturday’s blood bath debate performance. Bush was again caught flat footed trying to defend his brother’s failed war in Iraq and the 911 attacks which occurred on George W’s watch.

The establishment has moved on. They’ve decided to go with the man with even less experience than Bush, Marco Rubio. Senator Rubio benefits primarily by not having the same last name as Jeb. But his campaign is equally scripted and even more telegraphed. Establishment types like the fact that Rubio is young and attractive. They seem to not care that Marco can’t balance his own checkbook. Apparently being saddled with personal debt is now a good resume enhancement for understanding the presidency.

Word has it that an official announcement will come either late Sunday or early next Monday from Jeb Bush himself.

Bush campaign staffers say the former governor is tired and wants to go back to Miami to be with his family. It’s also been widely known from the start that Jeb wanted nothing to do with this campaign. The GOP establishment had a road map plan to victory and he was one of several candidates including governors Scott Walker and Rick Perry who were sent out much like a net. Donors were hoping that one of them would catch on, but it’s clear that Donald Trump has exposed all of their weaknesses.

It’s not clear as of yet who Bush will endorse. But sources on the ground in South Carolina have hinted that Bush would back Rubio.

Trump Reeling After Religious Leaders Condemn His Attack On Pope Francis

Donald Trump is being condemned by religious organizations for his ugly attack on Pope Francis.

...Trump will shrug this off, but his remarks about the Pope will come back to haunt him if he wins the Republican nomination. The pundits consider Trump bulletproof, but what they fail to understand is that Trump will not be facing a conservative electorate in the fall. If the rest of the country is given the chance to weigh in on Trump, stunts like attacking the popular Pope are going to come back to bite the entire Republican Party on the backside.

Donald Trump has attacked women, African-Americans, the disabled, Muslims, Mexicans, and now the Pope. At this rate, the only people who be left to vote for Trump are the angry white conservative bigots who currently support him.

Attack On Pope Francis Could Sink Donald Trump According To New Poll

A new poll from the Robert Morris Polling Institute found that Pope Francis has 84.7% favorability rating with Donald Trump supporters. In other words, by attacking the Pope, Trump may be alienating people who would vote for him.

Your only mistake was starting with an exclamation point, jumping to defend your last name, then reminding Democrats and Republicans alike of the abysmal failure Eight long years of his regime did to our country, our economy and our standing in the world. 21. The brokered convention has already been brought up several times, like it's getting the public ready for it.

I think if the fix is in Jeb! will stay in and just put on a show. Of all the candidates, I think he is the most likely to have the leadership of the party come to him and say, just stick it out and we'll get you on the ticket if we have to broker the convention. Of course, part of the deal will probably be to accept Cruz or Rubio as VP.

I don't think Jeb! will ever quit. Not until after the convention. Unlike Trump Jeb! will not run as an independent.

If he doesn't, you'll know the fix is in. (Like those Hillary superdelegates.)

Jeb Bush Staff Have Begun Sending Out Resumes

Several Jeb Bush campaign workers are already shopping their résumés with Florida political consultants as expectations mount inside his team that their candidate won’t push on after South Carolina.

“I can unequivocally tell you that people are looking for work, because they say they’ve been led to believe that they won’t have a job because the campaign won’t be around any longer or their jobs won’t because the campaign won’t have any money,” said one Republican who helps run one of the Florida campaigns and who is a Bush donor.

Four separate and senior political consultants in Florida said they have been negotiating with potential employees who are preparing for the end of the Bush campaign. The entreaties for new work from these Bush staffers — most of whom are not top-level campaign hands — have markedly increased apace with signs that the former Florida governor is under pressure to exit the race after Saturday’s GOP primary if he performs poorly.

  26. Even if he drops out, he still can be the winner of a brokered Convention, you know.

Maybe he'll drop out to force the TPTB 'thugs to have to consider Trump seriously, which his backers can't believe they have or want to.

It's also a possibility that his people are threatening his dropping out to raise even more funds.

And bringing dumbya in? Not really what someone considering dropping out would do, is it?

Or Cheney popping up all the time?

SC loves them some Bush. And they've got double the dose now.

    Don't despair.

We'll see the negative hat trick soon.

I can't wait to see how this shakes out.

  27. How satisfying to see this family of criminals go down in embarrassing indifference. Just a day ago Bush came to Trump's defense(!) in the latter's quarrel with The Pope. This was immediately seen as the plea for mercy it is: "When I drop out, Donald, please don't rub salt in the wound too harshly. Please?"

America may yet dumb-down enough to raise another generation of Bush cretins to power - and Trump's viability does nothing to stay the worry - but in all likelihood, I'll be dead before it can happen. Now, I wish I had a nice "Jeb Can Fix It" banner for my office wall. Buh-bye.

He'll drop out if he's in fourth. He pulled out all the stops for this one, bringing in his brother and mom, and in the heavily vet and military state where the W. is still popular, if he can't beat Rubio and Cruz, he should call it quits. He should have called it quits after NH but he was probably hoping W. would give his campaign one last gasp.
