Today is the Feast of Saint Super Bowl, a moving feast which often occurs on the first Sunday of February.

In Bristol's world the Puppy Bowl is known as the Trial Daddy Games.

I know exactly what you mean, Alice. My county in SC had more than 300 churches - in 1980. And we only had a little over 135,000 people here then! GAD!

I lived a few years in West Nowhere NC. Someone explained why there were so many churches. Whenever there was an argument in church, one party would storm out, walk a mile away down a dirt path and start their own.

There are actually a lot of churches for sale through various real estate and special church-sales websites. Partly because of all of the sex scandals in various churches. I've always wanted to buy a former church and turn it into a craft brewery and call it "The First Church of Beer." And cite Benjamin Franklin's saying that "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
