Bill Maher blames Donald Trump on the self esteem movement.

I thought this was quite funny so I am sharing it, and I share Maher's dislike for the "everybody wins" approach to dealing with children, however to be fair Donald Trump was already an asshole well before we started giving kids award for getting through the day without peeing their pants or jamming a pencil in their eye.

Personally I am convinced that Trump is a self made little crybaby, and that what has really changed is that many Americans have been conditioned by reality TV to see that as no longer a deal breaker when choosing a leader.

Simply put Donald Trump could NEVER have been elected even ten years ago, but thanks to the likes of Sarah Palin and Honey Boo Boo celebutards are now looked upon with admiration, instead of the scorn and derision that they truly deserve.

Somehow I feel that after Trump's candidacy runs its course that our opinions will revert right back to where they always belonged in the first place.

Except that Trump already said he doesn't think he has had to ask for forgiveness from anyone for anything he's done throughout his life - even from God. But, don't forget, most don't think he practices ANY religion although raised a Christian!

Maher often makes some very good points. It's too bad that he is so blind when it comes to his worship of PETA, which is a domestic terrorist organization and has been for a long time. They make the grifting of the Palins look like small fries. Support the SPCA, not PETA or HSUS.

I am vegan and I think Peta is insane and blame that on Ingrid Newkirk. They are full of it and kill every dog and cat brought to them, including new kittens and puppies. They say they are sick so they kill them, an absolute lie and they have even stolen dogs from people's yards and killed them. They want all pits destroyed and their goal is to kill all animals kept as pets so no one can have any. Support Nathan Winogard, who exposes their antics as well. I will never understand why celebs support PETA with their known tactics.

Celebuturds is right Gryphen. With all the horrible people on reality shows, Americans have turned into self worshipping assholes. Not every reality show is crap and not all of them are narcissistic and stupid, but a great majority are. Donald Trump is a nasty person and a thug. He really gets of on getting people that don't like him hurt, just like his comrade Palin. They are a sick bunch. I am glad Maher addressed this problem.

I don't know, Gryph. This country has already been dumbed down far beyond I ever thought it could be. Yet here we are.
Can we get back to an intellectual nation? I worry about that.

Two rather lengthy but very informative articles on 'the making of Donald Trump'. I remember Norman Vincent Peale on television (yep, I'm that old!!) and as a very young person thinking he was kinda scary. These articles really answer a lot of the questions I've had about Trump. It would appear that The Power of Positive Thinking had a very profound effect in shaping The Donald's psyche.

The video doesn't 'appear to show,' it clearly shows the campaign manager grabbing a protester by the collar. Trump's campaign is...no surprise...denying it.

    3. And Politico has swigged the Koolaid claiming that is was the security guard in the black jacket that pulled the protester.

      I call pants on fire.

The video clearly shows good ol' Corey grabbing the kid by the collar and jerking him back and around towards the security guard. But it was COREY that grabbed him.

Probably get a bonus from Drumpf.

Narcissism plus wealth created Trump. There are tons of narcissists loose in this world wrecking the lives of sane people within their reach. But Trump's wealth enables him to get a (nearly) unending stream of positive narcissistic supply. The greater the supply, the more damage a narcissist does.

Trump Fan Drives Jeep Through Crowd Of Protesters (VIDEO)

On social media, some fanatical supporters of The Donald called for the protesters to be “tear gassed and shot,” while others had another idea — “run them over.” Some even began inquiring as to the legality of pancaking peaceful demonstrators with one’s car. While it might seem unbelievable that someone would take these insane fringe-nuts up on their suggestion,WKBW reports that one Jeep-driving Trump fan wanted to get to the rally so badly that he “plowed into the protesters” with his vehicle.

Donald Trump has repeatedly defended his blatant calls for violence against his critics by pretending that the protesters, not his fans, are the “violent” ones. This, he claims, justifies any assaults his supporters unleash at his rallies, no matter how unprovoked.

Unfortunately, there is not a lot of proof that the protesters are the people starting violence. One man who was recently sucker punched by a Trump supporter who thought he was from ISIS (he wasn’t) was actually already being escorted out by police officers when he was attacked. He had done absolutely zero harm to anyone when he was hit with an elbow coming fast from his blind spot.

So lacking any real evidence, it seems that Trump’s campaign now wants to instigate fights between supporters and protesters in order to “prove” that it’s not Trump’s rhetoric that is inciting violence – and they were just caught on tape.

At a tense rally in Tucson, Arizona, Trump’s controversial campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, (who has already been accused of assaulting a reporter at a separate rally) was filmed yanking the collar of protester, and then letting the man next to him take the fall for it. It’s startling to watch, but look closely.

Yeah, Maher was funny but way off mark. Trump's too old to have been impacted by the everyone-wins philosophy, as Gryphen pointed out. Also, the everyone-wins philosophy has problems but it doesn't create sociopaths.

He IS right about the obnoxious kid who bangs on your seat. When you ask his parents politely to ask him to stop, or change his seat, they are as bad as the kid which is why he acts that way.

    7. You don't have to be a parent to know a good one from a bad one.

Ask any teacher. They may not have children but they deal with them all day and have had more training than parents. Just because you can spread your legs and then drop one like Bristol doesn't make you a fit parent. And just because you haven't had a kid of your own doesn't mean you don't know squat.

Donald Trump was a spoiled, bratty kid at age 4, long before the self-esteem movement began. His parents couldn't control him and he was eventually sent off to military school. I don't know what it was about the real estate business that attracted him when he went to Wharton, one of the few schools that taught real estate at the time. Trump was no smart. The admissions counselor was a friend of his brother. Trump must have liked the wheeling and dealing, the strong arm stuff and the eventual winning, not to mention the money. He was said to have cheated a brother out of the family money. It is pretty clear that Trump has no moral compass. He tells lies and I wonder if he does it on purpose or if it is just habitual, saying what is convenient at the moment. There is something truly psychologically wrong with him.

Self esteem? He wouldn't need to say things like he'd be the greatest president, he is great on the military, he would make the best deals if deep inside there wasn't something eating at him. People who are confident in their abilities don't have to brag that way and they don't need to insult others to make themselves feel better.

Just skim Donald's wiki page. His mom came from Scotland, and Dad from Germany, which he denied, claiming instead to be swedish. Because his clients were mostly Jewish, and didn't want them to feel "uncomfortable" doing business with a German. His poor brother Fred, couldn't take the pressure of being related to Donald, he died of complications from alcoholism. Fred was the deal maker, he got medical deferments for Donald although Donald was given a high number, now he wants the job of sending our kids off to war, and with his self esteem problem, if he gets in, that's what we're destined for.

  21. I must say I enjoyed his comment to parents about if they believe and take the side of their kids over the teacher, they are raising future Trumps.

There is plenty of blame for the media too. I can't stand most of the reality shows because they reward the basest behavior. They edit shows to make sure the worst traits of humanity are highlighted and rewarded. When my Mom watches the first episode of The Great Race or Survivor and I happen to be there, I'll tell her point blank who will lose and who will at least make it closer to the end. The nice people will go and the nastiest will survive to the finals. Yes, it's great when a nice person wins, but they are always pitted against screaming spoiled brats and bloviating bullies. We have become a nation that admires and worships the basest traits of humanity. Thus, the success of Dullard Drumpf.
