Donald Trump's campaign manager charged with battery for manhandling female reporter.

Courtesy of TPM:

Local Florida police charged Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski with misdemeanor battery Tuesday after a former reporter for Breitbart accused him of manhandling her.

Michelle Fields filed a police report with Jupiter, Florida police on March 11 alleging that Lewandowski forcefully grabbed her by the arm, nearly pulling her to the ground, after a campaign press conference.

Lewandowski turned himself over to police just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the arrest report. He has a mandatory court appearance scheduled for May 4 at 8:30 a.m.

Police obtained video that appears to definitively show the campaign manager grabbing Fields' arm on March 12 from Trump's security at the Trump National Golf Club, where the campaign hosted the press conference, the report also said.

Here is that video.

As you can see Lewandowski lunges at Fields who is walking and talking with Donald Trump at the time.

However despite that evidence not only is Trump still supporting Leweandowski, but he is even suggesting that it was the female reporter who was assaulting HIM.

I saw a reporter on MSNBC addressing the charge that Fields had something in her hand, by saying that all of the reporters who attend these events are screened by the Secret Service so there is no possibility that she had anything in her hand that could endanger the Donald.

How and why anyone as stupid or ignorant or who lies as much as Drumpf does is supported by anyone is beyond me.

If Fields is holding on to Drumpfs arm can someone point out that shot? Drumpf is accusing her of "hanging" on him and holding his arm.

Hasn't Drumpfs "sell by date" long since passed? Get him out of our sight. Enough blathering to last us a life time.

It's amazing that there doesn't seem to be a situation that Trump won't respond to in the most infantile manner possible. Is he running for Jr. High class president? Pathetic.

      Trump isn't a world leader, he's a petulant manchild.

If Trump wins I wonder if he can make it 4 years without tweeting threats and insults?

4 years? He can barely go four minutes...he is NO leader in any sense of the word. He's barely an adult.

Kudos to the Secret Service for letting people approach Trump. The more up close and personal handling Trump gets, the more likely he is to do a public meltdown.

There's no proof she's touching him. It just looks like a shot that allows it to seem like there may be contact but she's really inches away. Plus she's not got her fingers held in a way to grab him, and as he says she's holding something so how can she be grabbing him. That freak Trump even said on TV today, and he made a gesture, that he had to flap his elbow and forearm at her to get her off. Ridic!

BTW, did anyone see any part of his Wisconsin rally today? His hair was so shiny and fake and like a metal helmet. More bizarre and ugly than ever!

Sorry but that is a bullshit battery charge. She is no reporter if these are her kinds of actions on a campaign trail.

2:46 PM, here is the definition of battery: At common law, an intentional unpermitted act causing harmful or offensive contact with the "person" of another.
Battery is concerned with the right to have one's body left alone by others.
Battery is both a tort and a crime. Its essential element, harmful or offensive contact, is the same in both areas of the law. The main distinction between the two categories lies in the penalty imposed. A defendant sued for a tort is civilly liable to the plaintiff for damages. The punishment for criminal battery is a fine, imprisonment, or both. So YES, he can be charged with battery.

I think that the tide is turning (badly) for Trump. Polls suggest his poll numbers are falling off a bit. Can't stand Cruz; but equally loathe the Donald. Or as Sarah calls him, 'Donald John.'

I hope the reporter that Lewandowski grabbed by the collar also presses charges. That's another video where you can clearly see him grabbing the reporter and Trump insists it's not visible.

Sarah Palin and Trump have the same narcissistic sociopathic disorder. Only difference is Sarah is stuck at around age 12 and Trump stopped maturing at 5.

Mom: Donnie, I told you not to take any more cookies.

    Donnie: I don't have a cookie.
Mom: Yes, you do. It's in your hand.
Donnie: I don't know how it got there. Someone must have forced it in my hand.
Mom: There's no one else here.
Donnie: The cookie was on the floor and I had to pick it up.
Mom: If it was on the floor it was because you took it from the cookie jar and dropped it.
Donnie: There was no one to stop me. The cookies were there and I had to take it. I had no choice.

Battery case against Trump campaign manager seen as strong

‘You have the most corroborating evidence I’ve seen in a battery case in a long time,’ a veteran Florida defense attorney says.

What a joke. The prosecutor is going to drop the case faster than he/she can even laugh at the absurdity that anyone even pursued charges... especially since she was aggressively pursuing Trump after already being told to back off.

Trump should counter charge and sue her ass.

If there were a contest to describe who the most grotesque, misogynistic and outright awful human beings on the planet are, Donald Trump and those who he surrounds himself with would likely top the list. Not only is Trump wildly sexist and racist, but he comes to the defense of those who abuse others in his name. He has said it at his campaign rallies for those who go after protesters, and now he’s come out in full defense of his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who was caught on video brutally grabbing a reporter.

I thought there were reports just after this happened that people were not surprised Cory grabbed her, something to the effect, it was just a matter of time before something happened because he has a temper.

Also just after it happened, it was stated there were eyewitnesses.

    Sorry don't have the links.

Now Corey's defense is that he was protecting Donald Trump which would be a deliberate act except for the simple fact that Corey initially denied even seeing her that day.
