Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu refuses White House invitation that he requested in the first place.

Courtesy of Reuters:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declined an offer to meet U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House later this month and canceled his trip to Washington, the White House said on Monday.

Netanyahu's decision to nix his U.S. visit marked the latest episode in a fraught relationship with Obama that has yet to recover from their deep differences over last year's U.S.-led international nuclear deal with Iran, Israel's arch foe.

The White House said the Israeli government had requested a Netanyahu meeting with Obama on either March 18 or 19 and that two weeks ago he was offered a March 18 encounter.

"We were looking forward to hosting the bilateral meeting, and we were surprised to first learn via media reports that the prime minister, rather than accept our invitation, opted to cancel his visit," White House spokesman Ned Price said in an emailed statement. "Reports that we were not able to accommodate the prime minister's schedule are false," he said.

I really dislike this guy. He is a warmongering demagogue.

It would almost be as if we elected ted Cruz to represent our country.

And the fact that he is essentially a puppet of the Republican just makes him that much more distasteful.

  1. "And the fact that he is essentially a puppet of the Republican just makes him that much more distasteful." Think you got that backwards. Republicans are a puppet of Netanyahu.

He isn't a puppet of tbe GOP. I cannot stand the guy but this is a very stupid and uneducated opinion, not even based on fact.

  2. Anonymous4:34 AM

Good, let him stay home, we can save some taxpayer money.

If he thinks he has problems with Obama, can't wait to see what happens if Trump becomes dictator.

  3. Anonymous4:43 AM

I can't stand Netenyahu either and I am getting really annoyed with this fixation on being a friend of Israel.

    1. Anonymous11:36 AM

Israel has many 'friends'. But Israel is friend to no one. A nuclear power threatening peace. A lot of talk about Iran, but why no mention that Israel has the bomb, and the threat of Bibi's finger hovering over the button. The Israeli thugs are holding the world to ransom, and stealing every spot of land they can.

Friend? Were they a 'friend when they attacked our intel ship? Ohhh..they thought they could blame it on Egypt, but the world knows how self-righteous they have become. They would attack us again in a heartbeat if it serves their purposes and they thought they could blame it on someone else.

Israel has become what they claim to hate the most. And the xtian nutters who want the end times are just hoping and praying for war. They (we) are pawns in the thugs plans.

U.S.S Liberty. Never forgive. Never forget.

Cut off our billions in aid to them and see how he likes it. Asshole.

    1. Anonymous8:02 AM

Honestly, they don't need our money. The absolute hatred of the American far left towards Israel is appalling. No wonder so many American Jews are calling the Democrats anti-semitic and leaving to be independents.

    2. Leland8:36 AM

Guess what, 8:02. I don't know a single group larger than 5 which DOESN'T have an extreme facet.

    3. 8:02. You mean like the GOP and its hatred of latinos, blacks, women, and gays?

  5. Anonymous6:17 AM

    That's piggish behavior.

    and that ain't kosher.

  6. Anonymous6:41 AM

There is so much money going to Israel from different sources in the USA that no one knows exactly how much. Even the Defense Department "donates" to Israel out of their budget and we know the DOD can't account for BILLIONS missing from their books.

Israeli citizens ALL get guaranteed health care from the government because the US sends them enough of our dollars. Yet the fight in the US to get the same for our citizens has always failed.

    1. Anonymous8:00 AM

What a paranod and false claim. Ridivulous conspiracy theory. It comes from hatred for a Jewish state. Do some research from non hate-filled websites.

    2. Leland8:43 AM

8:00, EVERY PENNY of what the US Government sends Israel should have STOPPED COLD when their government stole the first piece of land from their own citizens!

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu you big pouting baby, what would WWJD?

New Obama Mideast Peace Efforts 'Have Rattled' Netanyahu

...Mr. Netanyahu on Monday declined an invitation to meet with Mr. Obama on March 18 in Washington, ostensibly because he did not want to get drawn into the volatile presidential election. In fact, several officials said, Mr. Netanyahu did not want to meet with Mr. Obama without having sealed the terms of a new pact on American military aid. The 10-year agreement, potentially worth more than $40 billion, is viewed as a way to compensate Israel for the Iran nuclear deal. But negotiations have run into snags, these people said, and Mr. Netanyahu did not want to risk leaving an Oval Office meeting empty-handed.

An even deeper potential source of friction between the leaders, officials said, stems from the possibility that Mr. Obama will make a last foray into peacemaking. In whatever form that would take, the purpose would be to show a way of resolving all the central issues that divide the two sides, from the borders of a Palestinian state to Israel’s security and the political status of Jerusalem.

  9. Anonymous7:53 AM

Methinks the Israeli government had requested a Netanyahu meeting with Obama so that Netanyahu could cancel the meeting to embarrass President Obama. Why else would that sniffling crybaby cancel his meeting at the Whitehouse by the media?

  10. Anonymous7:53 AM

He and Dick Fucking Cheney should be hung together in the Hague FOR ALL the world to see.

    President Obama's response to Netanyahu:

Fuck you. If you come to the Whitehouse before the end of my term, I'm not going to tell you that the delicious meal you just finished at the Whitehouse had pork in it. Now who's the bitch, Bitch?

Jews don't eat pork so let's secretly feed the Jew some pork.

(you do sound like Donald Trump)

  13. Anonymous8:04 AM

...It seems apparent that the Israeli Prime Minister is still livid over the fact that Obama went ahead with the Iranian nuclear disarmament instead of listening to his calls for war. The two world leaders have never exactly seen eye-to-eye on the issue of Iran or anything else. Netanyahu, a right-wing hardliner, has resented Obama’s calls for peace, including chastising Israel for its policies towards Palestinians. The fact that the United States still provides financial and military support to Israel to the tune of billions of dollars a year doesn’t seem to calm him down, either.

So rather than swallow his pride, Netanyahu has resorted to shameful displays of pettiness.

  14. Anita Winecooler4:47 PM

I don't like Netanyahu one bit. How long has the US tried to bring peace to the area? And how many times was it never enough?

    What was THIS about, Benjamin?

You skipped Obama's invitation to speak about the Iran deal, so you came here to stomp your feet with congress? Did you stop and visit the President as well?
The man was educated here and knows full well how our government is supposed to work, now it's Ohama who jumped the shark????

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
