Rachel Maddow's interview with Elizabeth Warren. Very powerful.

In my opinion right now Elizabeth Warren is possibly the most powerful political figure in the country.

What I mean by that is I think she has the power to actually sway the outcome of the Democratic race. And beyond that the general as well.

If she endorses Bernie Sanders she essentially pushes his poll numbers through the roof, and if she endorses Hillary this whole nominating process is over.

If she agrees to share a ticket with Bernie now I believe that will prove too much for the Clinton campaign to overcome, and if she joins Hillary's ticket in the general I think she will help to steamroll over any candidate the GOP could possibly nominate.

So yes I think that Warren is the political juggernaut, perhaps even more powerful than President Obama himself, at least as it concerns this current election cycle.

I hate to sound like a fangirl groupie - but I love her. Plainspoken commonsense combined with intelligence gets me every time. I know she doesn't want to run for POTUS - and I respect her even more for it. She knows what would happen, the sinister and corrosive effects of money on power. She is excellent in a supporting role and god knows we need more people who understand that you can be powerful and effective in that supporting role. OK now I have to go fan myself, LOL.

Warren will be 67 years old this summer. I don't think she'll be anyone's VP nominee. If she did, and they won, she'd finish her political career playing 2nd fiddle for the next 8 years. I can't see her doing that. Remember, she's only been a U.S. Senator for 3 short years, and I believe she thrives on getting in the trenches and fighting for the little people, and exposing the Republicans every chance she gets.

Yep. Not everyone wants to be pres or vp. Staying in the Senate she can focus on what's most important to her.

I want her to be our next Senate Majority Leader.

    2. She said she wanted to stay in Congress where she can do the most good when asked if she would run for president. I can't imagine anything would have changed if she were asked to step down to an even less powerful position; that of vice president.

No, she will not be anyone's running mate.

She also may not endorse until after a nominee is chosen by the people.

I do think she has more in common with Bernie than with Hillary.

    She's great.

I hope she endorses neither candidate and waits to support whomever gets the nomination. I think that's what she will do.

I also think she should stay in the Senate where she can really get stuff done, especially when the Dems take it back.

I'm not sure why she would endorse anyone right now. It doesn't help her one bit.

There were a lot of Sanders supporters posting negative shit on her FB page when she dared to not endorse him before the Mass primary. It was actually pretty disgusting. I'm sure it left a bad taste in her mouth.

Why would Prof Warren want to leave her job to play second fiddle to someone like Bernie Sanders who has sat in congress for decades achieving nothing?

  6. Rebecca at wonkette once referred to Warren as "Czarina Of The Universe." I agree.

In order to finish off Trump, President Obama should endorse him.

P.S. I love Warren also. Totally.

  9. I love her as well! A Hillary-Elizabeth ticket is still my dream team (Hillary for foreign policy & Elizabeth for domestic $ issues), but I am thrilled with her staying in the Senate & focusing on her issues.

Elizabeth on either ticket is perfection. Or doing whatever she wants: I'm for it, 100%

I heard her on Rachel last night who played her "do your job" talk to the senate. She blows me away with her common-sense talk.

I wish 60 Minutes would do an updated interview with her so that my 90 year old dad and his cohorts could be exposed to it. Dad and many of his contemporaries (70 to 90-somethings who have been Foxified) still have some respect for that show

I can't see her endorsing Sanders. I hope she doesn't. I hope she knows Sanders well enough to realize he doesn't have the disposition to be an effective president or commander-in-chief. He's good at identifying important issues but he's also an idealogue who isn't good at listening to others and at compromising to find practical, workable solutions to the issues.

O/T: In case no one's posted this yet. Yesterday, Thiemessen filed a motion for reconsideration of interim order on custody! Judge ain't gonna like that. His previous order was reasonable and fair.

Wonder why Barstool is objecting? Could it be that she is panicky about Dakota spending some alone time with the baby? (DNA test, anyone?!)

67 years old? What an amazingly attractive woman, mentally and physically!
Hopefully we get to see a lot of her in the future.

    That was great. Love her.

What an improvement over pretty boy Scott Brown, who wore the pink short-shorts in a magazine spread, before he became a tea party "patriot".

Thanks for posting important stories that the MSM doesn't post, Gryphen!

I've seen her speak twice here in Massachusetts. She's dynamic and a force to be reckoned with! That said, I would much prefer that she stay in the senate and Julian Castro be tapped for HRC's vice president. He would make a fantastic president in 8 years!
