Courtesy of the New York Times:
A former aide to Hillary Clinton has turned over to the F.B.I. computer security logs from Mrs. Clinton’s private server, records that showed no evidence of foreign hacking, according to people close to a federal investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s emails.
The security logs bolster Mrs. Clinton’s assertion that her use of a personal email account to conduct State Department business while she was the secretary of state did not put American secrets into the hands of hackers or foreign governments.
The former aide, Bryan Pagliano, began cooperating with federal agents last fall, according to interviews with a federal law enforcement official and others close to the case. Mr. Pagliano described how he set up the server in Mrs. Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, N.Y., and according to two of the people, he provided agents the security logs.
There is evidence of spam e-mails sent to the server, some coming from Russia, but apparently no evidence that they were successful in breaching Clinton's security protocols.
Remember the entire argument put forward by the conservatives is that the private server was less secure than the State Department servers, and that it potentially put classified information at risk.
However what needs to be pointed out is that those Russian hackers DID breach the state department e-mail servers, and probably got their hands on all kinds of sensitive information, while Hillary's supposedly "at risk" private server remained secure.
Amen. Everyone I've ever heard making Hillary's emails an issue doesn't know the facts.
ReplyDeleteIOW, Republicans.
Not to mention if it's the habit of Secretaries of State to have email servers that foreign hackers can't even guess at, it makes sense.
DeleteBut apparently it only makes sense if you're a Republican Secretary of State.
It is funny that Drumpf has attacked Romney, McCain, and GW Bush --the last three Republican Candidates. Not that our bitter Sara cares too much for the GOP Elite either.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo - how many time have we thought exactly what she appears to be thinking, ladies? "I told them, how many times? but they wouldn't listen, and now we've got to clean up their mess AGAIN....."
ReplyDeleteLOL! So true...
DeleteI have always respected Hillary. Of course I am donating.
ReplyDeleteI think she is dumb as a fox. Many years ago she called out the rethugs for conspiracy. I thought she was very insightful then, even though then (the rethugs)blew her off.
I think I love her!
I'm not familiar with, "I think she is dumb as a fox." Is that meant as a compliment? I have heard crazy like a fox meaning someone is clever and has outsmarted someone.
DeleteHillary senator & Secretary of State is dumb as a fox? Excuse me? I thought you were talking about Sarah Palin.
DeleteI am pro-fox.
DeleteFucking Republicans! They keep trying to catch 'something' that Hillary Clinton has done wrong or illegally and they keep failing!
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to cast my vote for her and watch her sworn in as our next POTUS!
They said it wasn't hacked... but it didn't need to be hacked she was freely sending emails to everyone.. Like pushing tpp and helping right-wing Honduran elites murder indigenous people thru a military coup and killing tens of thousands in Libya I can go on...
ReplyDeleteAnd you should-on a conservative site...
DeleteYou can go on off the right wing cliff that Cruz has set up for you, troll.
DeleteHear, hear, 6:08PM
DeleteSo Hillary Benghazi (Killary as the RWNJ's like to call her) has killed thousands but no one else has ever under their watch? GW didn't get anyone killed in foreign embassies? Are you sure about that?
DeleteYou don't happen to have any proof of this by any chance? Because if you do, you should really provide to the FBI so that they vcan put her in jail, right? Isn't that what all your fellow tin hat wearers want. If you KNOW all of this, why haven't any of you provided the evidence to put her away?
DeleteHer whole political life has been criminal you fucking blogging hack
ReplyDeleteWhy are you here? I really am curious and would like to know.
DeletePerhaps you would like to provide a few documented cases, with verified references? And no, Fox News doesn't count.
DeleteYou don't like her, don't vote for her, you ole nasty ho @5:22 and 5:25. Hillary must be that good if she is getting to you.
DeleteAre you my nut job ex?
DeleteMy goodness. Since "Bristol's blog" has been outed in the MSM we got old Sarah here spewing her vitriol at Gryphen who she was sure was living in his mother's basement and wears pajamas all day. Sarah you have been demoted to irrevelance and facebook. You still can't stand it that Alaska's most popular blogger (who you stalked & tried to get fired from his job) is more relevant than you are.
DeleteThe very fact that Sarah's paid "consultants" can't stop visiting here several times a day just says it all. They are reduced to fighting strangers on the internet and boy howdy we know that by Bristol's stupid posts.
Tell us again Sarah & Bristol how you've gotten over your addiction of the blue screen.
I'm starting to dig on the blue screen.
DeleteAbout Trump rallies, before he goes on, an announcer says that although Mr Trump believes in the first amendment, hecklers won't be tolerated. If someone or a group becomes a problem, do nothing except shout "Trump!" repeatedly until the problem is removed.
ReplyDeleteSecurity is also very proactive in ending problems before they start, meaning if someone looks like trouble, an eye will keep tabs on them.

People keep putting in their two cents about this video. I held mine in for a while. No, she should not have been shoved. But the media doesn't show you everything. I was there. I had media credentials and was on the riser and had a view of the entire event, including all 75 or so people who were kicked out of this event. I'd say about 5 of them were black. This lady wasn't being peaceful. She was jumping around and bumping into old people, screaming in people's faces, etc. It has nothing to do with the color of her skin. The media hasn't mentioned the two white guys, ONE WEARING A HOMEMADE KKK HOOD, that were immediately kicked out. Or the other 70 something people. Protestors went to this event with the intentions to cause an uproar and intimidate and harass the Trump supporters. Why wouldn't the Trump supporters defend what they believe in? Wouldn't you? No matter what side you're on, there is always two sides to every story. I'll post pictures soon of the massive amounts of white people who were escorted out for interrupting the rally, and then you guys can put your race card away for another day.
Get bent you fucking racist....
DeleteWe had a chance to stop Hitler before he came to power. We have that same power with Trump and it will be used this time.
DeleteLiar
DeleteYou're on the wrong thread, buddy. Next time post an OT so I can skip your comment as it has nothing to do with what we are commenting on here. And btw, Trump is an asshole and a narcissist. Temperament is important in a President and he "ain't got it."
DeleteTrump truly is the next coming of Hitler! He is just like him! Wants to be a dictator and get rid of the minorities! Good god almighty - he even kicks out the blacks at his gatherings and loves having it publicized showing his ridiculous comments!
DeleteFuck Donald Trump!
I seriously doubt he'll ever be elected POTUS!
And, I'd love seeing someone knock his fat ass to the floor in front of viewers on national TV! Can you imagine how long TV channels would run that on an hour to hour basis. Heck they might even carry it every five minutes for awhile! often!
So you were there, and instead of getting your face on GMA, all the news programs, and releasing the proof you have on video, you come to a blog to get your story out to a limited audience?
DeletePut your story out there and make some money. TMZ would give their eyeteeth and fifty bucks for proof like you supposedly have. Hurry, before someone beats you to it.
BTW, when you win millions in the lottery, sign the back and put it in a safe deposit box and zip your lips, contact a lawyer and investor and take their advice.
BTW 2, Also, too. I don't believe you.
It won't make a difference to the Hillary Haters and the Republicans, they haven't finished beating a dead horse because that is all they have.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to hear about this for the next 8 years of her presidency.
I was very glad to see on the news, that Team Hillary is taking the possible Trump nomination very seriously.
You sad sack Hillary supporters should do your homework and not rely on corporate media to get the real truth
ReplyDeleteIt's not ineptitude as you might suggest.
DeleteIt has more to do with the choice's we have?
Clearly you have observed the ineptitude we are all having to endure with the Republican party?
I cannot fathom how low they have set the bar. It's insane.
Please tell us who you are supporting?
DeleteWhere should we be doing this homework? Breitbart?
DeleteI'd rather be a sad sack than a POS like you. Hope you are getting paid for your hit and run comments, you ole' coward.
DeleteWe can rely on our memories of 23 years of persecution by Right-Wing that can never admit its gross failure. They've been beating their meat over Hillary Clinton for decades and they STILL can't even get close to her.
Delete@5:45 Your obvious lack of intellect motivates me to vote for someone to lead you, because you have no clue about how to help our great nation. Don't worry. I will. And my candidate will win. She's ready.
DeleteI read somewhere that sophisticated hackers can get around the security logs, so before you get too excited, this may or may not be significant.
ReplyDeleteFor those of us who believe HRC intentionally set up her own server so no one could scrutinize her contacts or what she said to them, the national security argument is a sideline. I personally believe the FBI is following the money trail around the world of all the governments that "contributed" to the foundation when she had the power in her State position to influence an outcome for them.
In one of her first legal/political jobs, she hid source documents from everyone so she could write up a fraudulent legal brief on them that would help get Nixon out of the way. Then she hid the Rose law firm records over her counsel to the loan company that was being investigated. The PATTERN here is what is most concerning.
It is really fine for you to support whomever you want for president, just as you respect those of us who support someone else. But PLEASE don't try to brush under the rug any crimes that may have been committed by said candidate because that makes you seem less American to those of us who value liberty and justice for all.
This is not a right wing conspiracy against HRC, or we would not have the non partisan FBI and career State attorneys throwing resources toward it. The law applies to every American, yes even to politicians.
You read somewhere? Ok.
DeleteMy employer (state) provided us all with email accounts and it was so freaking cumbersome and slow I immediately got my own private account and did business from there. As one example, their security logged us out after five minutes- so typing a long email or one where I was interrupted or had to look something up - all was lost when I hit send. For just a few dollars I could have modern email communications while my bureaucratic employer just added more and more junk to the server until it served no one. Was theirs more secure? I think anyone with the right skills can hack anything, state servers included.

DeleteThen after it was over those documents mysteriously were found at her home... she is a crook and a murderer...
DeleteFor those of us who believe HRC intentionally set up her own server so no one could scrutinize her contacts or what she said to them,
Delete--------------
Well the huuuuge problem with your reasoning is that the emails were also stored on the recipients servers.
There you go accusing Hillary of crimes with your conspiracy theory.
how about some links to where she wrote these fraudulent briefs to get Nixon out of the way.
I bet you think Hillary was part of the Watergate break in-of course to get rid of Nixon.
I bet it was Hillary's idea that Nixon tape everyone in the oval office.
I am sure Hillary had something to do with the Kennedy assassination also.
OMG, you ARE my crazy ex!!!!
DeleteYou don't even understand what a security log is, do you?
DeleteA security log is a record of activity inside a computer to put it very simply for you, you sad ignorant fuck.
Tin foil is cheap these days.
Delete"I personally believe" ? That's all you idiots have. Belief. No facts. Republicans have spent countless millions on investigation after investigation and have found nothing to pin on her. Yet the crap that Reagan and the Bushes pulled, nobody cares about. You let me know when you start prosecuting the Bushes, Cheney and Rumsfeld. Then I might have some sympathy for your outrage against Clinton.

Did you type up this tome on the spur of the moment or did you have a stock of these lengthy missives that you post everywhere?
DeleteThanks everyone for reading my 6pm post. Yes, I wrote it just for this site. And I was being polite to our host, because he omitted part of the information from the NY Times article, which it seemed no one else had bothered to read either.
DeleteHere is the quote of the entire paragraph:
Mr. Pagliano told the agents that nothing in his security logs suggested that any intrusion occurred. Security logs keep track of, among other things, who accessed the network and when. They are not definitive, and forensic experts can sometimes spot sophisticated hacking that is not apparent in the logs, but computer security experts view logs as key documents when detecting hackers.
I personally believe the FBI is following the money trail around the world of all the governments that "contributed" to the foundation when she had the power in her State position to influence an outcome for them.
Delete-------------
What is this foundation? You said it all with your statement "I believe", well since you have no evidence, just "I believe", I believe you are paranoid.
This is too funny.
The Clintons have been harassed for years by the Republicans and you think that they are too stupid not to have a separate server for all their "illegal" activities. No Hillary is going to use the same server she used to connect with the State Dept. Do you even know what a server is? Do you know the different types of servers?
Is English your second language?

ReplyDeleteHmmmm 5:45 PM! I'm a senior, senior, female, white American and have been following Hillary Clinton since she started volunteering to help others - even before she got into government!
ReplyDeleteShe has my vote! You won't change my mind.
In fact, suggest you go back into her history - you might learn more about her. A LOT of positive factual info can be accessed.
I like how you made it clear you are WHITE.... And stop bullshitting
DeletePoor, sad 6:52, you are too full of the crazy hate to see straight. Hillary is a great lady and she'll make a fine president.
DeleteSigned,
Another white female

DeleteIt pissed me off when I found out the Bush Administration had a private email system to avoid transparency. It pissed me off when I found out Sarah Palin used Yahoo email to avoid transparency. So it pisses me off that Hillary Clinton pulled the same shit. She didn't use a private server to avoid foreign hackers. She used it to evade Federal records documentation. Just like those Republicans I mentioned, she didn't believe in being accountable to the people who paid her salary. So it's irrelevant that Clinton's server wasn't hacked, it's just her sheer dumb luck. Somehow I doubt the FBI will give her a pass for that.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteSeems like all politicians did this until they were told not to. Laws didn't keep up with technology.
DeleteYea, it pissed me off that Colin Powell did that and Condi Rice, and Dick Cheney and Karl Rove, and General Petraus. IOKIYAR It didn't become law to use the department email server until John Kerry became SOS.
DeleteWith all of the investigating and release of emails, where is your proof that Hillary used a private email server to evade Federal records?
DeleteThere is a bit of a difference between an email account (ie: Yahoo for Palin) and a secure server. Notice the word SECURE. Also, as mentioned by others, all emails sent by Clinton were received by someone else and therefore also retrievable. I believe her server was likely more secure than the government server/system which was likely very outdated and more likely to be targeted by hackers. Government computer systems are notoriously outdated compared to commercial systems.
Delete"Somehow I doubt the FBI will give her a pass for that."
DeleteWell that does it then. What more proof do you need? We can throw her in jail straight away.
Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi! .... Eghazi! Eghazi! Eghazi! .... Zzzzz.... Ok, what else they got??
ReplyDeleteI would assume sending an email from Clinton home server would be extra secure since an Ex-President shares that home with her whether he uses the email or not.

Boy, the roll American trolls are out tonight! They sure are concerned about getting their message on this thread. Yawn.
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief. Not that I didn't believe her in the first place, but we're talking about an independent investigation by the FBI. What will Congress pull out next? BenGhazi!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you want the truth about the Clinton's.. Google Webb hubble
ReplyDeleteYou mean if you want troll's lies?
DeleteGo away Sara.
Google Uranus. You're welcome @7:02.
DeleteThe establishment GOP is freaking out because the teabaggers that they welcomed in for votes have taken over their party. That's what you get for trying to make a black man a one-term president. More popcorn please.
ReplyDeleteGryphen what is your reason for constantly publishing all these claims that Hillary Clinton is a murderer and such?
ReplyDeleteI want everybody to see what we are up against moving forward toward the election. And to give a glimpse at the desperation driving Hillary's detractors.
DeleteTrust me, things are only going to get worse.
And Gryph is right. I have never seen anything like this in my life, and we have eight more months of this shit.
DeleteYes, it is going to be a long, nasty campaign.
DeleteThey must be really desperate to come up with some of this crap, but Hillary is very strong.
They are ALL the same.
ReplyDeleteEvery damned one.
Eye roll
DeleteWhen the "best" the GOP argue over is dick size on a national stage, I'm done. No wonder $arah supports him.
ReplyDeleteI just recently discovered this blog but I'm having a great time reading it. Cheers to Mr. Gryphen!

ReplyDeleteIs Bristol in Hawaii? I think so. Interesting.

Is that a 2.5 month or 4 month old baby? My bet is on 4. Good to see a photo that looks like it's recent. What's the scarf for?
DeleteA 'new fashion' modesty breast feeding scarf that converts to a pregnancy disguise for those who fail miserably at abstinence?
DeleteA Bristol Palin endorsed hot new must have fashion accessory?
dowl
dowl, too funny you are! I bet it's to hide her non-breastfeeding boobs.
DeleteIf she's in Hawaii then MALOE did have some insider info after all.
I thought Bristol was breast feeding 24/7, therefore Sailor couldn't be around other people like her "father".
DeleteA vacation from "work" already, she just returned from maternity leave !!! HA HA
Perhaps finger enhancement exercises will help rump stick it to the bloody bimbo skanks for trump herd. Stupid bloody bug eyed douche t bags for rumpest are the dumbest.
ReplyDeleteThere are other reasons public officials shouldn't use private e-mail accounts for public business besides security. #1 is the same reason you castigated Sarah Palin and rightfully so...... Skirting public information laws.
ReplyDeleteYahoo email is not a private email server or account.
Delete"Security logs show that Hillary Clinton's private e-mail server was not hacked."
ReplyDeleteYah, and an investigation also showed that Sarah Palin was not guilty of abuse of power in the Troopergate affair. You can get the result you want if you have enough power and influence.
If you're going to publish all those bullshit posts about Hillary Clinton all the time it'll be as bad as c4p.
ReplyDelete2:05 amen to that
Delete"Next up, Hillary walks on water, news at 11".
DeleteHow about those millions of emails that were destroyed by the Bush Administration leaders in their last days in office? Do any of the GOP members of Congress care about them? Of course not. But if you can intimidate a Democrat who has served her country in an exemplary way, they will do it.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
Powell & Rice had their own servers--which of course does not matter in the Rethuglican fact-free universe. Because fed gov't systems get hack attacks 24-7
ReplyDelete~Canuck~
You LIE you dumb Canuck. LIAR!
DeletePowell and Rice did NOT have private servers, Rice didn't even use email, her top aides did.
This is such a weird headline and spin. I work in IT and it is simply a fact that you cannot prove a negative claim. A good hacker can leave no trace of an intrusion. "Logs"!might well never show any such intrusion. Logs are also cycled and in many configurations not kept indefinitely. Therefore you cannot prove a server wasn't ever compromised. It's just not a real thing in IT security.
ReplyDeleteI am a Hillary supporter but I think this is Bulls--t spin for the masses. Anyone who knows IT knows it is a spurious claim of no harm, no foul.
Absolutely right, it is total bullshit, but people will believe what they are told especially if it agrees with their stomach.
DeleteThe only reason a prior hack would be dicovered would be if it were done intentionally, or sloppy. No trace doesn't mean a thing.
