I like how Malia throws the thumbs up sign as Sasha tries to suppress her giddiness.
Hopefully I don't have to point out that the gentleman in question is Ryan Reynolds who is currently attracting women to their local theaters in droves to actually watch the R rated superhero flick "Deadpool."
Something tells me that Sasha has already seen it. Right along with every other Ryan Reynolds movie ever made.
The Obama girls have grown up to be wonderful young women before our very eyes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, seeing those two lovely young women swooning over that shallow Hollywood creep is disconcerting.
Delete9:09 ~ That picture makes me so happy and i think it's because it's so upbeat and NORMAL.
DeleteRyan and Sasha are swooning over each other, and Malia is right there supporting her sister with the universal "You go, GIRL!"
The pic of Bri$$y standing in a puddle of piss only elicited disgust. The poor Palins fade to black in contrast with the Obamas.
9:09, I suppose you know this man personally in order to know he's a "shallow Hollywood creep", huh?
DeleteThose girls are beautiful, and I love both their gowns.
ReplyDeleteI have no doubts these 2 young ladies will make their parents even more proud of them, as they enter adulthood. They've got great parents!
ReplyDeleteHope I live long enough to see one of these young women run for pres....
Ryan Reynolds is married to Blake Lively.
ReplyDeleteHis ex-wife is Scarlett Johansson.
He must have something going for him.
Actually, some folks might remember he starred with Sandra Bullock in a silly movie called The Proposal that was set in Sitka but couldn't be filmed there because Sitka couldn't accommodate the cast and crew. They filmed in and around Gloucester MA and made Alaska look beautiful but not beautiful in the way that Sitka is beautiful.
The Obama girls are much more famous than Ryan Reynolds. Look at HIS body language, maybe he is blown away to be at a State Dinner at the White House, meeting the President and talking to Sasha Obama.
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteLove your comment!

DeleteExactly.
Love their Secret Service code names: Malia is Radiance; Sasha is Rosebud.
ReplyDeleteI never understood the code name thing - especially since the names are common knowledge.
DeleteSuch beautiful girls. I'm glad the press have (mostly) left them alone and just allowed them to be teenagers.
ReplyDeleteThough I still remember that bitch who wrote nasty things about the girls when they rolled their eyes at a lame joke Obama made, at what I think was the annual turkey pardon
Elisabeth Lauten, I remember her well. That fb comment she made about the Obama's girls ruin her emotionally forever. I look at the gorgeous First Daughters and they fill me with pride,
DeleteWhat? You mean the Obama girls are out bar hopping on fake IDs like the Bush girls???
ReplyDeleteAt least the Bush girls changed and grew into lovely Democratic women.
DeleteYes, the Bush girls acted out like so many teens have. Most do not have to live under a microscope like presidential children. The Bush girls seem to have settled down into adulthood as educated, productive adults who do not seek the limelight to any degree.
DeleteNever happened. That false story was quickly debunked. The underage Bush daughters, however, were accompanied by the Secret Service to a bar.
DeleteWe've all done things growing up that we learned to regret later. I loved when the Bush Sisters kept getting caught with alcohol, speeding away from Secret Service, and showing up where they didn't belong. But they were older than the Obama Girls, and I'd be a raving alcoholic with parents like GW and Laura.
DeleteI think the Obamas and Mrs Robinson did a fine job raising these two lovely daughters. The White House isn't an easy place to raise a family, the world's watching. It's been a pleasure watching them grow into young adults.
I'm glad these two young ladies were left mostly alone, though I have enjoyed seeing pictures of them. Remember all of the crap Chelsea Clinton got, as a teenager, for looks alone? God that must have been hard on her.
ReplyDeleteMy sister remarked recently about how well the First Family daughters have done and about how wonderful a school Sidwell Friends School must be. (Chelsea Clinton also attended there.) I think the school nurtures the best that is in the girls and gives them the privacy they deserve. Combine that with excellent parenting and grandparenting and with the girls' own intelligence and you see these lovely young ladies, perfectly dressed and poised and confident with adults.
DeleteBeaglemom
What two lovely, healthy, natural, wholesome young ladies!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama for their outstanding and responsible parenting.
Those two girls are just edible. They've grown up so beautifully because they received superb parenting (and Grandparenting!).
ReplyDeleteI've loved watching them - from a distance, of course - mature into wonderful adults. The Obamas should be very proud.
Considering the loss of privacy and independence a life in the White House requires, and the extraordinary hatred aimed at this First Family, I love that they sometimes get to enjoy these little perks of being the President's daughters.
ReplyDeleteUnder the best of circumstances, the pre-teen and teen years can be some of the most challenging of a girl's life. Malia and Sasha have spent those years in the unforgiving spotlight, and have become lovely, responsible, dignified, compassionate - and beautiful - young ladies.
Kudos to the President and First Lady (and First Grandmother!) who clearly place the highest value on family. They have all done a remarkable job of living these past 7 years with grace and fortitude.
Those girls are absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteTheir late grandmother would be so proud of them, and she would be so proud of her son being the President of the U.S. The presidents grandparents would be so proud, too.
