Bernie Sanders' wife Jane wishes out loud, on Fox News, that the FBI probe into Hillary Clinton's e-mails would hurry up.

Courtesy of The Washington Free Beacon:

Bernie Sanders’ wife Jane lamented the slow pace of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state Thursday.

“It would be nice if the FBI moved it along,” Sanders said.

First off it is pretty shitty that Jane Sanders is feeding into this Right Wing fantasy that Hillary Clinton will be indicted.

Secondly she said this on freaking Fox News where all of those Right Wing nutjobs are waiting for their daily ration of conspiracy theory flavored red meat.

Just a couple of reminders, there is NO evidence that the FBI has any intention of indicting Hillary Clinton.

There is also NO evidence that her e-mail server was hacked. (However the State Department e-mails were hacked.)

And consider this for a moment. IF the President thought, even for an instant, that Hillary was in danger of being indicted don't you think he would have encouraged Joe Biden to jump into the race so that there would be somebody out there who could protect his legacy?

Because I can guarantee that Bernie Sanders has no intention of doing so.

No I found this whole interview on Fox News to be in incredibly poor taste.

For the spokesperson of an ostensibly liberal candidate, who claims to want to stick to substantive policy discussions, to be throwing gasoline onto the radical Right Wing conspiracy bonfire is inexcusable.

Jane is for Jane. She acts like she's running herself. Sad to know how right wing she truly is.

Sanders needs to tell his wife to shut her pie hole, she should talk abut being investigated when she ran a college into the dirt and has several more nefarious things in her back ground that will come BLAZING out if Sanders wins the nomination. SHE is his weakness not a strength and he better tell her to can it or else he is doomed.

I watched the video, and I personally didn't think she meant it the way Gryphon is trying to portray it. She wants the FBI to "shit or get off the pot"--and I bet the Hillary camp would be happy for this to be wrapped up as well so that it is a non-issue and not lingering.

This recent whining about Sanders is really misplaced. His chances of winning are slim to none. If he's not a threat, it really is beneath you to tear him down. Just ignore him if you don't like what he's saying.

I was a young adult when Hillary Clinton became First Lady. I remember her getting criticized for not being wifely or motherly enough and for not staying in her lane. I was outraged then and I'm still outraged.

The truth is that Hillary Clinton has done more for progressive causes than Bernie Sanders and, to borrow a phrase, in heels and backwards.

      Delete
    5. Anonymous11:16 AM

So what is the most likely governing configuration for 2017? Most likely, Clinton will be president. The Senate, where Republicans have a 54 to 46 majority, will likely be almost evenly divided—52-48, 51-49, or 50-50, one way or the other—with Democrats slightly more likely than not to be on top. Republicans will likely retain their majority in the House, but their 58-seat margin could be cut in half. None of this is cast in stone. But keep in mind that more Americans are voting straight-party tickets than at any time in modern history, and Republicans have done nothing to repair their brand since the Republican National Committee “autopsy” report three years ago that urged the party to modernize by appealing to minorities, women, and younger voters.

But then I started noticing some ugly things. Bernie dismissing (I'm sure it was quickly brought to his attention that he did it) women's reproductive rights as not being as important as other things. Complaining--like Trump-- about the primary process which they knew about before they ran, and of course attacking Clinton like a republican wasn't helpful. Then of course, there is not showing his tax returns and sending Jane out to complain about speaker transcripts---like a birther. Now this.

Good news. Teen pregnancy rate continues falling.

"All in all, in the last 23 years teen birth rates have plummeted by 60 percent. In 1991, teen birth rates were 61.9 per 1,000. In 2014, teen pregnancies hit a low of 24.2 births per 1,000.

The same article said, while contraceptive use has increased, teens are having less sex.

Though small towns all over the county likely haven't changed since people value the simple life in them. It's not just Wasilla, by far, where everyone is always pregnant.

But I have noticed in my youngest's school people are talking about sex far less. I graduated in the mid 90s and sex was huge.

When asked about trying to flip Clinton superdelegates on CNN’s New Day, Sanders said, “At the end, you know, we’re not calling superdelegates and saying will you switch your vote? Our thinking is that superdelegates are elected officials They came on with Sec. Clinton even before Bernie was in the race. It was a given that she was going to be the candidate, and we think and they’re going to see at the end if he has the momentum, if he has got the delegates neck and neck, even above Secretary Clinton and that’s possible, then they will be looking at the general election and saying who is the stronger candidate against the Republican nominee.”

The Sanders campaign has definitely assumed a more passive tone towards Hillary Clinton.

Trump Camp Plans To Make A Play For Sanders Voters Who Won't Back Clinton

Republican Donald Trump's presidential campaign is planning its next coup: vying for the votes of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) supporters who say they won't back Hillary Clinton in a general election.

"You have two candidates in Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders which have reignited a group of people who have been disenfranchised and disappointed with the way Washington, D.C. and career politicians have run the country," campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told CNN on Friday.

"Bernie Sanders has large crowds – not as large as Mr. Trump's, but large crowds – and so there is a level of excitement there for people about his messaging and we will bring those people in," he also said.

Trump has long claimed his ability to garner support from Democrats and independents, but a recent poll found just 13 percent of Democratic-leaning voters who support Sanders have a favorable view of the outspoken billionaire.

I know they say that keeping the weight off during election season is tough because of all the junk food and stress, but he should have lost a noticeable twenty pounds by now if at all aware that he ought to look healthy and fit to match up visually with all his bragging. Yesterday my husband commented on how long Trump wears his ties. It's obvious that it's part phallic, but I told my husband that to women it's a trick to fool the ye--if he wore the tie the right length then it would end on his belly and everyone would have to take notice of the protrusion, but by lengthening the tie the protrusion is downplayed and the midsection also looks longer. I wish Hillary would lose a little weight before she debates him just so as to make him look all the worse.

He never was a handsome man, but he sure aged horribly. He is so judgemental but everything about him is ugly. The skin on that nose (and rest of the face but especially the nose), yes. The lack of neck tone and all that blubber that hangs over his collar. The unmanicured eyebrows and squinty pink eyes. No upper lip and those bottom teeth that are always showing because of the underbite. The worst, teethwise, is when he says the word "China"--you must listen and watch for that because it's too funny/ugly.

11:46, every time I see Hillary I want to nag her about her weight. She carries it where it's most dangerous for heart risks. Otherwise I think she radiates good health. Trump looks unhealthy and ugly and toxified by bad food, sun, drink, lack of sleep, lack of discipline. Ugh. Have the stroke already Donnie.

I totally agree. Hillary looks glowing and healthy compared to him, and when her hair's done just right and they choose the right outfit for her, she looks much younger than she is. I take issue with some jacket-like tops that bell out and make her midsection look bigger. She could though, of course, lose some weight. But she really looks pretty darn good. Trump always looks dumpy. I don't care how expensive his suits are. He looks so dated and a bit of a mess. His body's horrible, but it's also just in the way he refuses to change styles at all and update his look. The loose pants legs and then how they're hemmed and hang over his boring shoes is just so 1980's--when he was debating next to all the other guys, his pants look was so out of style compared to everyone. And even though he's so massive, he has narrow slumpy shoulders that require those idiotic shoulder pads. The hair, of course, dates him badly. He will look like a buffoon standing up on stage with Hillary as she shows everyone what class and smarts and good health look like.

As a woman older than Hillary Clinton, I think she looks just fine. And she has a beautiful smile as well. She is a woman who has lived a very busy life. I'm glad she's not spending all of her time at the spa or at the designer boutique buying clothes that a person needs to be shoehorned into. Hillary Clinton has a right to be proud of her many accomplishments, her intellect, and, frankly, of her appearance.

Yes, gushy and aw-shucks blushy -- as much as I respect Rachel, that pretty much nails it. I never miss her show and have learned so much from her, especially during her excellent interviews with experts on topics she's exposing, but it's the interviews that call for pressing and pursuing that frequently disappoint. She's coddled Jane Sanders on her show before -- next time I hope she steps it up, especially after these latest stunts.

Clinton, as I wrote last week, is finishing the primary season in worse shape than when she started. Polling taken last June by NBC/Wall Street Journal found her with an overall net positive rating among all voters of +4 (44 percent positive to 40 percent negative) and a +77 score among Democrats (84 percent positive to 7 percent negative). The most recent April NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, however, had her overall approval ratings deep underwater at -24 (32 percent positive to 56 percent negative), and her ratings among Democrats dropped as well from +77 to +46. Among all Sanders voters, she’s at -1 (40 to 41 percent).

This suggests that Clinton will have some work to do to get Sanders supporters on board the Clinton train this fall. How and when Sanders helps with this is also going to be critically important.

A liberal case for Donald Trump: The lesser of two evils is not at all clear in 2016

Is there one? A Trump presidency needn't be a nightmare for the left. On many issues, Clinton presidency might be

There are perhaps no three words more jarring to liberals than “President Donald Trump.” The GOP front-runner and presumptive nominee has undoubtedly made enemies with his nativist rhetoric and bellicose persona. That said, now that the race between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton is effectively over, with the former secretary of state essentially guaranteed the nomination, many liberals and progressives are preparing, once again, to vote for the lesser of two evils. The choice may not be as clear as some Democrats believe — especially if Democrats can take back the Senate and assure themselves of a check on a GOP House.

Once you’ve let that sink in, try this: There is a liberal case to be made for Donald Trump. The prospect of Trump defeating Clinton this November is not necessarily the apocalypse that some would lead you to believe. Here are some of the reasons why.

No you don't know any Bernie delegates. Pledged delegates are called pledged delegates because they're committed to the candidate who won them. They can't just go to the convention and support whomever they please. They're committed to Bernie until Bernie releases them. Nice try though.

Actually delegates CAN go to the convention and support whomever they want to. Apparently you haven't been very involved in politics yet. BTW delegates change their votes all the time, especially if there is more than one round of voting, otherwise why would there every be more than one round of voting. Also, there are many other things voted on at the convention besides the presidential nominee and delegates can do do vote how they want. And no, they do not have to wait until their candidate releases them, though when that happens they all abandon their candidate and vote hoe their favorite candidate wants to.
      But nice try though.

    3. Anonymous3:05 PM

You are wrong 1:41. Democratic pledged delegates cannot go to the convention and vote for whomever they want. According to the Democratic Party convention rules, pledged delegates are bound to vote for the candidate to whom they were allocated on the first vote. Pledged delegates are released from their pledge/commitment only if no candidate has a majority after the first vote. Then they're free change their allegiance to a different candidate. However, they wouldn't decide that as an individual especially if there are more than 2 candidates. The horse trading of the contested/brokered convention proceeds within the state delegation, with other states, with superdelegates. By the way, and if you've been a Democrat for even a little while you really should know, there hasn't been a Democratic convention that didn't have a nominee after the first vote since 1952.

Hillary's doctor wrote she is hypothyroid and takes Armour Thyroid. She takes Coumadin blood thinner medication after her concussion and subsequent life-threatening blood clot in her head. Her doctor admitted Hillary has had 2 blood clots in her leg. In 2009 she fell and broke her elbow. Her concussion resulted from fainting and falling. She obviously weighs significantly more than she did even 3 years ago. She's not in excellent health. Her doctor admits she has some health issues and there's not reason to be in denial about them.

      Delete
    5. Anonymous6:22 PM

You just love bringing up her health problems, don't you?

Hypothyroidism is completely manageable with medication. I should know, since I have it. Since I started taking synthroid under a doctor's care (after being diagnosed more than ten years ago), It hasn't negatively affected my health in the slightest.

She wears a bulletproof vest, which makes her look like she's put on weight. You actually have no idea if she weighs any more than she did three years ago, let alone SIGNIFICANTLY more.

She fainted from dehydration due to a stomach virus, not exactly a rare occurance.

Neither is having a concussion for that matter.

She takes blood thinner as a precaution.

      She's fine.

This is nonsense. Hillary Clinton doesn't wear a bullet proof vest. She's just fat. Anyone can recognize she's gained a significant amount of weight over the last 5 years by simply looking at pictures of her in 2010 and today.

She's at least 30 pounds heavier between those two pics. There's no denying it. Why are so many so defensive about this observable fact?

Listing her admitted health problems to rebut comments like: "Her health is excellent." and "Hillary has no problems at all." is completely reasonable. How many of the candidates have a history of blood clots, concussion, fainting? None but Hillary Clinton. These aren't normal things and they do factor into decision-making of voters.

      Delete
    9. Anonymous9:42 AM

I see you've backed off the idea that hypothyroidism is a debilitating disease that makes a person ineligible for being POTUS.

I wish you would back off the idea that Hillary Clinton is at an unhealthy weight. That is between her and her doctor and I would hope most people would realize by now that it's possible to be overweight (which is a loaded word, by the way) and healthy.

She fainted and got a concussion. Saying she has a "history" of these things suggests they have been common occurrences in her life.

You seem bound and determined to undermine Clinton's candidacy by any means. Going after a woman for her weight, when you actually have no clue what it is and if it makes her unhealthy, is a low blow.

I haven't backed off anything. Nowhere did I say she has conditions that make her ineligible. The assertions were Clinton's health is excellent. It's not. She has chronic health issues. Anyone who insists otherwise is in denial of what her own doctor and Clinton herself has disclosed. Voters have a right to know them and take into consideration that Hillary Clinton has health issues that no other candidate has.

Her weight is an obvious problem. She gets winded climbing the 8 or 10 stairs onto a rally stage. People have a right to take that into consideration.

The Vermonter, who has always run for office as an independent or Socialist, and never as a Democrat, apparently doesn’t understand that a party’s platform doesn’t bind a candidate, much less a president...

His first and most misleading campaign claim was that “99% of all new income generated in this country is going to the top 1%,” which was based on statistical sleight of hand. His most important offer to young people and their parents was free college tuition for all, a system like the underfunded and overcrowded universities of Europe.
