Perhaps the most disquieting Time magazine cover I have ever seen.

I swear this guy CANNOT take a picture without it making people feel that he is getting ready to make some disgusting sexual proposition, or try to sell them some stolen merchandise.

Here is the link to the actual article, but in my opinion there can be nothing written in the pages of the magazine that can change my gut reaction to this cover photo.

In fact Cruz is so repellent that high school students in the Bronx threatened to stage a walk out if he even showed his face.

And with a face like that who can blame them?

Likable enough?! Are they kidding? When his own daughter turns her head as he's trying to swoop in for a kiss, that speaks volumes to me!

Like the neighborhood child predator that you teach your children to avoid at all costs. Creepy Chuck Sr. gives me the same heebie jeebies.

Likeable Enough? Shame on you, Time. That was Hillary's line when she ran against Obama, but I'll give you a little hint. The idea of a magazine cover is to sell magazines. I wouldn't touch that with a hazmat suit on, if that's the best you can come up with for a cover, no thanks, I'll invest in a crossword puzzle book.

You forget. That was Obama's dismissive comment to her at some event or other. He was right, she is likable enough. But it is a remark I'm sure he regrets. And that is a despicable use of the comment that Time has committed, kind of a twofer, dismissing Cruz and Obama in one ugly headline.

      6:27 PM, YOU forget.

Obama's comment was not dismissive, it was in fact supportive in the face of a nasty and unnecessary question from the moderator.

His exact words were, "You're likeable enough, Hillary, no doubt about it." Then he smiled. He interrupted her to make that comment, he didn't need to say anything.

Tonight I turned on the TV while I was loading the dishwasher and American Idol was on. They were featuring performances by past winners, and Clay Aiken came on stage to sing.

There was always something about him that gave me the creeps, but I couldn't explain exactly what it was. Tonight I figured out that he reminds me of a bad TV movie with a sinister televangelist who is found to have teenage girls locked in his basement.

Ted Cruz gives me the same icky feeling.

    1. I can't say that Time is supporting Drumpf but they are certainly sticking it to Cruz.

It doesn't matter what the article says.

That photo was chosen with great care.

It's subtle so Time can't be criticized for it. But that photo was chosen for the creep factor. That cover will be on newstands all over the U.S. People will see it who won't bother to read the article or buy the magazine. They'll just see that cover.

      And be creeped out.

I'm sure Time can defend it's choice as being the most attractive shot they could find. (Let's face it, Cruz has no good side or good angle except maybe the back of his head.)

Unflattering? You betcha. Intentional? You betcha.

      Not to worry.

If Drumpf wins the nomination all of the media will come down on him like locusts at a free buffet. He'll die by a thousand paper cuts. Even the right wing rags will do it. The owners/publishers/editors will turn a blind eye or discretely encourage it.

Colbert and Cordon will have a field day. Oliver will be ecstatic and Bill Maher will bust a gut over all of the material Drumpf will give them for fodder.

      And he'll go down.

I still maintain that David Letterman was instrumental in the fall of McCain. He was relentless after McCain failed to show up and did another show instead. He never let it go.

The late shows can make or break a candidate. And they all have Drumpf in their sights. Should he get the nomination, it will only get worse.

Cruz is in NY this week so the local news (Albany) has been covering him. Up until tonight I had only heard him on stage, yelling his speeches and shouting at Trump, etc. But, tonight, I heard him answer questions from our local reporters -- was not watching, only listening from another room. And, I tell you that when just talking he is even more creepy. His conversational voice made me want to run away. Chills, I tell you. So, even without having to look at him, he is totally creepy.
