Ted Cruz and John Kasich team up to stop Donald Trump.

Courtesy of CNN:

Ted Cruz and John Kasich are joining forces in a last-ditch effort to deny Donald Trump the Republican presidential nomination.

Within minutes of each other, the pair issued statements late Sunday saying they will divide their efforts in upcoming contests with Cruz focusing on Indiana and Kasich devoting his efforts to Oregon and New Mexico. The strategy -- something the two campaigns have been working on for weeks -- is aimed at blocking Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim to GOP nomination this summer.

The extraordinary moves reflect the national strength Trump has shown and the inability of Republicans who oppose the New York billionaire to come together to stop him. Dividing up some of the remaining primary states by putting forward one strong alternative to Trump in each could be enough to take away delegates and curb Trump's run to the nomination.

Of course Donald Trump being the level headed congenial statesman that he is simply wished the two well and said he would stay focused on his positive campaign to bring dignity back to politics.

Just kidding.

This is how Trump actually responded:

I wonder how much popcorn you have to eat before you colon just blocks up completely?

I wish they'd spoken of this sooner. The Stop Trump thing was going strong there for a while but then seemed to go nearly silent during the time leading up to the NY primary. If these two had come to some kind of agreement, then I think the Stop Trumpers would have been louder. I'm kind of surprised, too, that they have joined forces. When Rubio wanted to do this with Kasich, Kasich's response was to act so sincere and like he had no interest in such a thing and that it even perplexed him. And Cruz had seemed adamant, after that, that he'd not be joining forces with Kasich. We can anticipate idiot Trump now doing more of what he's been doing, now, to complain about Kasich. He's actually been mocking (see link below) the pronunciation of his name and saying the name should be changed. I hope Cruz and Kasich respond with a lot of Drumpf talk.

Btw, what is up with the pig pics on Brissy's IG? Two pics of Sarah Jr., aka Piper, with her pig and what may be the arm of Dakota Meyer in one. Bristol's talking about how a year has gone by since Piper got that pig. Looks to me like this may really be Bristol hinting that she's kind of into the idea of having Dakota in her life again. Yes, she'd use a pig to do that kind of thing.

Cruz and Kasich are getting help from Hillary too...This
quote from Politico on your sidebar.
"I have said, 'Come out of those towers named for yourself and actually talk and listen to people.' You know, at some point, if you want to be president of the United States, you gottta get familiar with the United States. You gotta spend time with Americans of all sorts and backgrounds in every part of our country," Clinton said at an event in Wilmington, Delaware.

She then made an argument that could carry into a general election contest: Trump is out of touch with everyday Americans.

"Don't just fly that big jet in and land it, go make a big speech and insult everybody you can think of and then go back, get on that big jet, and go back to you know your country club house in Florida or your penthouse in New York," Clinton said. "I somehow don't think that kind of puts you in touch with what's going on. I have spent now more than a year talking and listening to people, and I can tell you there's a lot of concern. People are having a hard time."

She gave that piglet away long ago. Like the rest of the Palin Pets, they have no idea how to care for anything or anyone...Trig included. They are a bunch of spoiled, selfish idiots. They all take after Mommy Dearest, but I suspect Todd and Chuckie had some input into the way those kids developed, too.

Millennials Are Flocking To Democrats Because They Hate Donald Trump

...Bernie Sanders is the only one of the five presidential candidates with a positive net approval rating among millennials (+23), but Donald Trump is putting up some negative numbers with younger voters that are astounding. Overall, Trump has a net negative approval rating of (-57), and a net negative rating among millennial Republicans of (-20).

The numbers suggest that millennials can’t stand Trump. Donald Trump is the presidential candidate embodiment of Fox News. It is striking, but not a coincidence that Trump pushes millennials away to the same degree that younger people tend to avoid the top-rated cable news network. The Donald Trump campaign is all of the talking points and tactics that Fox uses to scares to the grandparents of millennials implemented in a presidential campaign.

Donald Trump’s views represent the kind of intolerance and bigotry that millennials across the political spectrum oppose. There has been a great deal of media chatter about Hillary Clinton’s struggles with younger voters in the Democratic primary, but if Republicans nominate Trump or Cruz, it won’t matter.

Millennials aren’t stupid. They are going to vote for the candidate who best represents their positions, and that candidate is not Donald Trump.

My brother in law is a Republican, holds an elected office, Christian late 50's, thinks Obama ruined the country (please no bashing, he really isn't a RWNJ and actually holds a few progressive views toward the LGBT community and abortion). I can assure you he is no Clinton fan but if it comes down to either Trump or Cruz on the ticket, he will be voting for her in November. The conversations with his buddies is that they are so mortified at the prospect of a Trump Presidency they are willing to vote for Hillary or Bernie. Each time Trump did or said something so far out of the realm of how a Presidential candidate should behave or think or speak, the media always wondered aloud if this would be the "thing" that finally brings him down. None of it individually brought him down, but collectively his actions have hopefully doomed him. Hopefully.

Oh, but he's going to start acting "presidential" any day now. Perhaps his son should take away his IPhone so he stays off twitter. He acts like a 12 year old there.

Here's a link to the Fugs performing their classic, Wide Wide River, which seems just as appropriate today as when it first came out. And also, G. it might help to alleviate your worries about eating too much popcorn.

I talk with a fair number of millenials (although I'm just an old hippie myself) and what you say is absolutely what I've been hearing.

NOW TELL THEM TO GET THE HELL OUT AND VOTE!!!!!!!

I have really enjoyed Josh Marshall's (Talking Points Memo) "Attack Haiku" series based on Trump's tweets. They all end with "Sad!"

They are already bickering-DistrusTED and Kasich. Seems no one can get along with the disgusTED faux Senator. I think when these guys with jobs take off months to run for another office, they ought to have to take off without pay, make sure someone is doing their job for them, and maybe the people like Marco and Cruz who obviously hate being Senators would just stop. Meanwhile, they are taking our money and allowed to spew whatever hate comes into their puny little brains and out their soft little wet lips.

Kasich is supposedly thinking of whom to chose for his VP!! Forget it, Johm Boy, you will not get into the WH. He acts like a doddering old man, stooped shoulders and the way he talks. He looks like lumpy little Johnny Mac I just saw on TV that Cruz is considering Fiorina for hs VP!! Great, two repulsive people together should go down in flames. Maybe he thinks next to her, he will actually look handsome?

    1. He thinks putting a woman in the ticket is the magic bullet to defeat Hillary, just like John McCain thought Sarah Palin would win him the White House.

  13. That's not gonna last.

Sure, they've decided to team up now to defeat the bigger threat.

But then they'll be fighting again.

The only thing I can think they've done is decide to put the other on the bottom of the ticket depending on which of them wins the brokered convention.

So we may be looking at Cruz/Kasich or Kasich/Cruz.

We may be wishing for Dullard Drumpf with that ticket.

That is a ticket that would threaten Hillary's sure thing and JULIAN CASTRO WON'T FIX IT.
