Ben Carson confirms that Sarah Palin actually IS on Donald Trump's list of potential VP's.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Ben Carson says in a new interview that former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is being considered as presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump’s running mate, along with a host of the real estate mogul’s former challengers.

Carson told The Washington Post that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), Sarah Palin and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie “are all people on our list.”

Oh please, oh please, oh please, pick Sarah Palin.

I would have SO much fun with that.

Plus of course it would ensure that Trump had no chance of winning the presidency.

  1. TwoBlueJays6:02 AM

Wheeeeeeeee! Let the games begin...the VP Hunger Games.

    1. Anonymous6:42 AM

      Praise the Lord

    2. Anonymous6:56 AM

I wish people would stop considering this a game and jumping at the entertainment value. The universe is unpredictable. Beware of the unintended consequences.

    3. Anonymous7:30 AM

I'm with you 6:56. Everything, especially the media we keep complaining about, has become about the entertainment factor. Could be why our world is so fucked up

    4. Anonymous7:54 AM

Great! Let the 4th Estate commence to finally vetting this phony, lazy grifter.

Personally, I think this is an indication of Trump's lack of seriousness. He's thumbing his nose at Establishment Republicans for their terrible alliances with fundies, tea party nuts and whatnot. The Base will eat it up but he'll be soundly defeated in the General. Palin seals it.

    5. Anonymous7:57 AM

Trump's making sausage and it ain't pretty. Trust the process.

    6. Anonymous8:46 AM

      Anonymous7:57 AM,

The "process" got us 2 terms of GWB, the Iraq war, the economic meltdown and the mishandling of hurricane Katrina disater relief....all because people thought he would be a good guy to drink a beer with.

    7. Anonymous8:48 AM

      Anonymous7:54 AM,

The GOP don't care about anything but winning. They will end up rallying around their candidate,no matter who it is.

    8. Anonymous9:31 AM

Yipee! I hope the media will investigate this crime family!
It would be funny if her "pregnancy lies" were exposed finally also, too!
She has lost all her "conservative cred" and look on RedState they loathe her now, even going so far to say "The left was right about her all the time"!
I'm sure they would be happy to join in on exposing her!
      Get the popcorn ready!
Gryphen shine up your little blog its about to get Hot in here!!
This is the ONLY AntiPalin blog in Alaska!!!
      Fuk you HooHah!!

    9. Anonymous9:56 AM

She is not being considered by Trump.

    10. Anonymous11:46 AM

      Anonymous9:56 AM

She is not being considered by Trump.
      Link please.
You are the "nothing to see here move along" person.

    11. Anonymous12:37 PM

I don't need a link 11:46, I have a brain. Palin will not be the VP choice. It is as simple as that and needs no further explanation. It is fricking hilarious that you are dumb enough to buy this crap.

So, for the record, Sarah Palin is not going to be a VP choice. lol. As any even semi-intelligent person knows.

Although Gryph does need to keep propping up Palin to keep his blog interest up among the Palin obsessed cult, so it isn't that surprising he is pushing it.

    12. So to be clear you're saying Ben Carson is lying?

This is being reported all over the place so it is hardly a case of "propping up Palin" on my part.

      The news is the news.

    13. Anonymous1:05 PM

12:37, do you mean to imply Gryphen is in cahoots with Dr Ben?? Color me impressed!

    14. Anonymous3:11 PM

It's totally believable that Trump "is considering Palin" for VP.

      It's all semantics, folks.

There's a HUUUUUUUge difference between "seriously considering" or "in the top 3" considering or just "considering."

All he has to do is "leak" that he is "considering" Palin and her bots will side with him.

And he doesn't even have to lie.

Will she actually show up on his Top 3 List? Possibly, just for the "shock" factor that will get him a lot of attention.

The man is smart, kiniving, and he learned a lot from Sara Palin and how she operated during her hey day.

Tease. Tease. Tease. That's how you keep guys interested (right, Bristol?) And that's how you keep Palin followers interested.

    15. Anonymous5:05 PM

Trump is dumb but not as dumb as Carson. Nobody is saying Carson is lying. It's just really hard to believe he would seriously consider Palin.

    16. Anonymous7:39 PM

      Whatever Gryph.

It doesn't matter what Carson says. I'm not going to go looking for news of what Ben Carson says, because it is meaningless info lol.

Palin is not going to be VP choice for Trump. And you know it. First of all, Palin doesn't want to work. Second of all, even she knows she is in even less of a position to take such a role as she was 8 years ago. 3rd, Trump loves to play games, but he isn't going to put a loser on the ticket.

So yeah, you are shoveling bullshit and you know it.

  2. Anonymous6:13 AM

And then you'll dump all the dirt, right?

  3. Anonymous6:15 AM

If he picks Sarah Palin, then we know, for sure, that Trump never intended to be president. He can't be that fucking stupid.

    1. Anonymous6:43 AM

      @Anonymous 6:15 AM

''If he picks Sarah Palin, then we know, for sure, that Trump never intended to be president. He can't be that fucking stupid.''

Exactly. If she is even on the list that shows Trump does not want to be president.

    2. Anonymous3:13 PM

No it doesn't. He is probably just teasing the masses of Palin bots. And, as we've seen, it works.

PLUS, also, too, it gets a lot of media attention, which is probably 98 percent of his plan since there are not so many Palin drowlers anymore.

A lot of those old white guys have died since 2008.

  4. Anonymous6:16 AM

I wonder why this dingbat is even getting press anymore except for click bait. Even Bachmann and O'Donnell went away! Narcisstic loon.

Go right ahead and put her on the ticket, Donald, we've got eight years of "new" material to bring up and revisit. She So Smaht!

    1. Anonymous6:47 AM

      @Anonymous 6:16 AM

''I wonder why this dingbat is even getting press anymore except for click bait. Even Bachmann and O'Donnell went away! Narcisstic loon.''

The sociopath will just not go away, I never dreamed we would still have her getting media attention 8 years later. Now the media has added her mini-me daughter, who is just as mean and nasty, to the mix, and we have two of them to deal with.

  5. Anonymous6:17 AM

He may have the worst campaign advisers in the world, and may not listen to them anyway, but even HE should know better than to chain himself to that disaster!

After all, it worked so well the last time and that was BEFORE all of the failed reality shows and incoherent public ramblings.

As much as I'm dreading having to listen to him speak for another 6 months, I just don't think I can bear having her her on the campaign trail again.

    1. Anonymous6:44 AM

You miss the possibility that Donald is a worse politician than $arah.

  6. Anonymous6:20 AM

WAPO peeps scouring Drumpf's history? While you're at it take a stab at the Quitter Queen please!

    Let the vetting begin!

    1. Anonymous7:39 AM

OH just ask the pee puddle!
She's been vetted more than anyone!
      Eye roll.

    2. Anonymous7:33 PM

Gryphen's ex wife is a former neighbor of mine and she told me that he's not a very bright bulb as well as a did in the sack.

    3. What? She said I'm a "did" in the sack?

Well once I find out what a "did" is I am probably going to be offended.

Wait, what state was this in again?

Here's a hint, there are only 49 to choose from and one of them is not Alaska.

  7. Anonymous6:21 AM

Rubio and Kasich have already said no. Ted Cruz is highly unlikely and probably wants to run again in 2020. Try Gingerich, Jan Brewer, Rob Portman, Jeff Sessions. I tend to doubt he's considering Screech.

    1. Anonymous6:47 AM

He isn't considering her; he's just trying to keep her crazy fan base in the fold. Cruz is 100 percent no -- he's going to be the next Santorum, always running, always hated by everyone but a few. Portman wouldn't be associated with Trump. Gingrich and Christie are too alpha and would make Donny feel threatened. Brewer is just too dumb, even for a misogynist. I think Sessions and Rick Scott are the most likely.

    2. Anonymous6:49 AM

      @Anonymous 6:21 AM

Why are you trying to find running mates for him?

    3. Anonymous6:52 AM

I just don't know what to think about Carson. He is a Black man working to try and put a racist Trump in the White House. Just shaking my head at this guy.

    4. Anonymous7:02 AM

652am, Carson announced to the press that drumpf promised him a cabinet position if he joined his team. Which is, of course, against the law. Which he'd know if he had any clue how the process works.

    5. Anonymous7:27 AM

6:52, Carson thinks Trump is his hero. This paragraph explains how he felt that night at the debate when he didn't hear his cue to go out, then Trump missed his. They were two bozos who had no clue, but Carson explains it this way:

To viewers at home, they looked like a pair of middle school drama students who had both missed their cue. But Carson saw Trump’s pause as a deliberate gesture to ease his awkwardness.

“That showed the kind of person that he is, to stand by me even though it did nothing for him personally,” Carson said.
“They stood together that day like brothers,” said Williams, one of Carson’s closest confidants. “That was a very important moment.”

    6. Anonymous7:57 AM

7:02 is right. Carson says all kinds of things that he never should--he has no idea when he's making a big gaffe. This week he made a comment that had to do with Trump's lack of qualification or something (I'll try finding his exact words) and he said but Trump would be surrounded by people who did know things, and he added that it'd be for just four years (not eight) anyway.

  8. Anonymous6:22 AM

She sure as double hockeys doesn't look like that anymore! Menopausal wench. Is that why you're so mad, $arah? You certainly don't have brains going for you, that's for sure.

    1. Anonymous6:49 AM

You know, menopause isn't a moral failing. Either you're a sexist man or a woman who's going to get to menopause soon enough yourself. Try focusing on the many, many behavioral crimes Palin can actually control.

    2. Anonymous6:55 AM

I am in menopause, thank you, 6:49 PM.
      Just speaking my truth.

    3. Anonymous6:58 AM

      649am, unwad your panties.

    4. Anonymous7:34 AM

Thanks for speaking the truth, 6:49. I am so sick of the misogyny here. I thought this was a progressive blog.

    5. Anonymous7:56 AM

No different than "little fingers" or "two-toned,"
7:34 AM, of which we've seen here plenty.

    6. Anonymous8:49 AM

      Anonymous7:56 AM,
      Two-toned is gender neutral.

    7. Anonymous9:45 AM

Oh BS the lot of you whingers. She ran on her looks, since she had/has no other positive talents, they are fair game.

Her moral failing is in running on her looks in the first place, instead of cultivating her brain.

    8. Anonymous10:13 AM

I love the expression "speaking my truth" as an excuse for idiocy. That's what Trump's millions love him for, right? He says what he's thinking, man! Fuck the quality control!

    9. Anonymous10:14 AM

She's had eight years to cultivate that brain, 9:45 AM, and she hasn't because too much money to be made and adoration. Who needs a brain? Heck, even while in office mayor/guv others did her work for her; she just needed to show up and could barely do that.

    10. Anonymous12:08 PM

19:14 AM - Per Diem, anyone?
And Alaska taxpayers paid for it.

    11. Anonymous3:18 PM

12:08 I'm living in my own house, do you think I can figure out a way to get per diem for it?

Maybe, I should run for governor. Yes, that's the ticket!

  9. Balzafiar6:26 AM

"I would have SO much fun with that."

Most of us would, but consider the consequences: even if the ticket loses, it would give Sarah additional creds which she certainly does not deserve. It would enable her to continue her fund-raising grift and living the high-life for no effort other than her continuing shrill blather or ghost-written bullshit.

Other than the fact that it will guarantee keeping Trump out of the White House, I hate to see it happen.

Now, on the other side of that coin, it might well be that if she does end up on the ticket, she will finally be fully vetted and the truth will be revealed.

    1. Anonymous6:44 AM

The truth abuot PayMe will not be revealed as long as lumpy little Johnny Mac is still alive. If the whole truth came out, hhe would look like even more of a fool than we already know he is. Vetted, indeed? No way. Someday, the truth will be revealed, and there will be gop members fighting like HELL, blaming others for the moronic choice of her as VP.

    2. Anonymous6:45 AM

Think of the harm it will do to the GOP brand, however. A win/win is my book

    3. Anonymous7:21 AM

NO. I agree with Balzafier, gives her too much credit and exposure. Also, if you're thinking it will sink the ticket, think again.... hanging chads

    4. Anonymous9:14 AM

Another side of the vetting coin is that she & trump have now had some very negative public exposure telling us 'who' they are.

I am far more surprised and saddened to count the number of fellow citizen voters who seem to approve of their lying, cheating and bullying ways. With not a hint of irony, many of them are approving their behavior in the name of their 'religion' and their definition of 'family values'.

Vetting would be admirable if it weeded out poor character and ability rather then encouraging it.

    5. Anonymous9:54 AM

lol. 6:44 still hoping and yearning for some 'truth' to come out about Palin. Love your little fantasy that she is protected by the gop and McCain.

      Get a clue 6:44. Get a clue.

    6. Anonymous10:27 AM

Ask Senator Dan Sullivan about that meeting. The one while she was still governor and he was still state attorney general!

      Or ask Sarah!

    7. Anonymous3:21 PM

10:27 May I suggest you go through one of those, don't show my IP address services and TELL us what the heck you think you have that's too secret to share?

Otherwise, shut the F up. Show us a link, or at least give us a hint of what you are talking about so we can do our own research.

If you can't prove it, don't post it.

(I just made that up, and think I'll use it. If you can't prove it, don't post it!)

    8. Anonymous4:37 PM

Sorry to temporarily disappoint you, but you are not who the comment at 10:27 was intended for.

Hi Sarah! Still reading IM? You and your Fam Damily?

@Why did you quit so suddenly?

  10. WA Skeptic6:27 AM

Ahhh--The Tundra Twat: The Kiss of Death!!

    Yeah, pick her!!!

    1. Anonymous8:05 AM

As 7:21 AM said above, after the "hanging chads" I don't trust any of 'em. That being said, he has to know what an absolute drain she is after the two speeches she made on his behalf and he shepherd's crooked her off the trail.

  11. Anonymous6:30 AM

Let's face it Trump needs a woman on the ticket to counter Hillary and to counter his terrible numbers with women. I don't think he will ultimately choose the Wasilla Wendigo but it looks good to the wingnuts that he had at least vetted her. Nikki Haley may have a shot though. Suzanna Martinez from NM has higher aspirations and won't hitch her wagon to the Donald.

Besides, I think Christie is going after AG. Normally the VP candidate does not manage the transition team and he has already been named for that job. And he is too much ego for the VP role in the shadows. And as AG he can get all the Bridgegate investigations and other inquiries into his corruption stopped/reversed.

    1. Anonymous10:15 AM

Both Martinez and Haley have said absolutely not. I realize people being considered for VP often say no and then say yes, but usually the protest goes more like this: "I'm not thinking about VP right now, I'm just focused on being the best gosh-darn governor I can." Rarely do people say, "There is zero chance in hell of me running with this insane dude"...and then do it.

  12. Anonymous6:47 AM

I don't know if I'd believe Ben Carson. After all, he was only on the search committee for what, a day? And didn't know he was taken off until it was announced to the media?

    1. Anonymous7:36 AM

Yeah, what's with the "we" stuff?

    2. Anonymous8:03 AM

And Carson made an appt. to meet with Ryan (before Trump did) that was totally unnecessary and done on his own, according to all the stories I've read. Carson is bizarre. he got lots of support early on but then people realized what a dimwit he is. Brain surgeon or not, he's a dimwit.

    3. Anonymous8:06 AM

Here's what Carson said last week about Trump as maybe not being that good of a pres and only being pres four years.

  13. Anonymous6:55 AM

Ben Carson as a reliable source? Hahahahahahha. Even T.Rump can count. What can she bring to the ticket? The evangelical vote? not with multiple baby daddy unmarried Bristol. The mommy vote? not with her dysfunctional family. The DS/handicapped kid family vote? Not with her lack of an advocacy record. The guys who vote for GMILF's vote? not with her current looks. The AK vote? she proved she couldn't deliver that in the primaries. She's a total negative and T.Rump's alreaady realized that.

  14. Anonymous7:10 AM

I wish Drumpt had the balls to say Sarah Palin is on his list. He must have vetted her, like John McCain. That would be interesting. Wouldn't it prove how he is good for women? He needs to speak up or he is a coward.

Drumpt was all twittering about the NYT report on how he treats women. Not only the women he uses in his business, they say he can be nice to some.

He did not like the NYT version of Drumpt/women, he says it is a hit piece.

Do you think Reince means what he says?

RNC Chair Reince Priebus: Trump ‘Will Have to Answer For’ Alleged Treatment of Women

When is that to happen and is it to be all secret?

    1. Anonymous7:39 AM
      ‘People Just Don’t Care’ ......

    2. Anonymous8:12 AM

They also say Donald Trump people are racist. Who cares? No one cares about women either.

    3. Anonymous10:37 AM

Oh, honey! Many Americans do care about the folks that are racist amongst us. Don't kid yourself!

And, the majority of women DO care about women's rights and thank God we have them!

  15. Anonymous7:17 AM

    I don't think that's literal. I think it's strategic . He knows she wouldn't take it .

    1. Wouldn't take it? Are you nuts? She would crawl on her knees thru busted glass to take it and be back in the spotlight again.

  16. Anonymous7:22 AM

NON of this is even slightly fun. ZERO!!!

    with Sara-MANAJATWA!!!

  17. Anonymous7:27 AM

  18. 1. If they are on the list, it must be a very long list.
    2. Ben Carson may not really know what he's talking about and just said that to get blog clicks on threads with his name on it oh crap I fell for it!

    1. Anonymous8:08 AM

      2. yes

Trump could have 50 different lists and use different lists for different people. What is the big deal about a list?

It is just part of a script for his entertainment. r
      Reality tv is not reality.

    2. Anonymous8:59 AM

Ben Carson is the worst black man that Team Trump could 'use' for all of 'picking' stuff!

Remember, Trump is a racist and is only using Carson to 'appear' pro blacks - nothing more and nothing less.

Sorry, but every time I see Carson speak on TV, he seems slow and labored!

Doubt many take him seriously throughout America. He is NOT helping the Trump political machine.

  19. Anonymous7:33 AM

Having someone on a list is no big deal. Trump may be making a list with several women on it, he has no intention for any to be his running mate.

    It's a list.

    He is a showman.

He can release a list when he wants and say, see I like women, look at all the great women on my list to go to the White House. Meanwhile he knows he would ask one of his doofus man picks that he wanted all along. All he has to do is use women to create the image of how he is good for women.

Trump does not have to be serious about a list or vetting anyone.

    1. Anonymous8:00 AM

      Whole binders full of women!

    2. Anonymous8:48 AM

I would love for the press to obtain Trump's binders. Do you think he has Putin in there?

    3. Anonymous10:16 AM

Exactly right, 7:33. This is meaningless.

  20. Anonymous7:37 AM

If Hillary weren't republican sociopathic liberals Would be stalking all Chelsea's middle school friends.

      She's not Republican, dolt.

    4. Anonymous8:02 AM

We leave the stalking, lying and hateful name-calling to your party. You all are so good at it.

    5. Anonymous8:54 AM

I sometimes understand a little republican speak. I think this is the translation...

"If Hillary were a republican, sociopathic liberals would be stalking all of Chelsea's middle school friends."

    6. "stalking all Chelsea's middle school friends"
Toots, you're the stalker that can whip out the complete record of all daily activities from ten years ago for Bristol and all her friends.

Also, you should take a nap.

  21. La Bruja Soleado7:40 AM

Please let this be true. We need the money.

  22. Anonymous7:40 AM

Sarah Palin is a nun compared to Hillary Clinton. By the way I tried to think of someone of the purest soul and only nun came to mind. That should tell you a lot about human nature. Live, let live.

    1. Anonymous8:01 AM

A little early on a Sunday to be hitting the sauce, iddn't it?

    2. Anonymous8:19 AM

7:40 you are an idiot compared to an idiot. The word is cretin.

    3. Anonymous8:52 AM

It's pretty apparent you don't know the 'real' Sarah Palin, 7:40 AM!

Try doing some fact finding or read some books written about her. Or, better yet, talk to Alaskan residents! They know the liar and fraud better than anyone! (To include knowledge of her family members.)

    4. Anonymous8:55 AM

Have you read more than one book in your life?

    5. Anonymous10:34 AM

I know I have, 8:55 AM. Are you interested in reading them? If so I'll provide titles and the author names....although I've put them up before throughout the years on this very blog.

  24. Anonymous7:45 AM

  25. Anonymous7:46 AM

I don't think dRUMPf really wants the job of president. Just the adoration of the millions who now support him. Choosing the Wasillabilly as VP would clinch a defeat at the polls. Can he handle defeat?

Hell, if he wants a woman on the ticket, lyin' Carly would be a better choice.

    1. Anonymous9:02 AM

He wouldn't pick Carly because she is a 2X loser.

    2. Anonymous10:01 AM

Look at her face. No way.

  26. Anonymous7:52 AM

    Now this might be FUN:

  27. Anonymous8:02 AM

Lol, dumb fucktard retard is actually on the list, even after her failed talks for fat rump?! Lol.

  28. Anonymous8:02 AM

The Peebus GOP will say they are in private talks with the Donald and he has assured them how Presidential he is. He is flexible and they can all agree about what matters now. Peebus GOP like his list of possible running mates and yes, it proves his respect for smart capable women.

    1. Anonymous10:32 AM

It always cracks me up that the Republican folks HAVE to say that Donald Trump could 'act' or 'be' presidential!

A presidential candidate should already provide that demeanor and Donald Trump does NOT naturally.

I don't want anyone that has to ACT his way through a four-year term of being POTUS!

The guy is a fraud and joke and just doesn't have the IT factor!

  29. Anonymous8:11 AM

The Vice Presidency No One Should Want

Whether Trump or Clinton is elected, the new veep will be a weakling, eclipsed either by a massive ego or a super-powerful First Husband.

... Imagine yourself as Trump’s vice president. What are your chances of serving as a trusted, respected adviser on politics and policy? Look at the last President who had something like the mixture of massive self-regard and massive insecurity that defines Trump—Lyndon Baines Johnson. Having lived through the hell of being a scorned and shunned vice-president under John Kennedy—“I hated every minute of it,” he later said—he treated his own second, Hubert Humphrey, with equal contempt.

“You are his choice in a political marriage, and he expects your absolute loyalty,” Humphrey later said, but even that was not enough. In 1965, when Humphrey offered Johnson carefully modulated advice about the political costs of escalating the war in Vietnam, he was banished from the inner circle for a full year. And in 1968, Johnson made clear his contempt for his would-be successor (“Hubert squats when he pees,” he said.)

Trump’s contempt for rivals, critics and even allies makes LBJ’s bullying look like something out of Mr. Rogers. The video of him curtly ordering endorser Chris Christie to “get on the plane and go home” ought to be fair warning that a vice president under Trump should not expect anything better. Moreover, the idea of loyally supporting a Trump agenda poses a special challenge: That agenda is likely to be amended or abandoned on a moment’s notice. A prospective running mate, asked to declare himself or herself on Trump’s abortion, tax, health care or foreign policy positions, might be tempted to answer: “Which ones?” As for as being “the last voice” offering guidance, Trump has already told us what voice that will be.

“I’m speaking to myself,” he told Mika Brzezinski of “Morning Joe” in March, “because I have a very good brain.” His vice president, Trump suggested this week, would be a messenger boy, serving as his “legislative liaison.”

    Yeah, pick Sarah!

    1. Anonymous8:48 AM

She knows nothing about the federal government and the U.S. Congress! He'll never pick her as his VP. Plus, once he vets her and her family members, he'll run like Hell!

    2. Marthe9:24 AM

I like your analysis 8:11 AM. I totally agree with you that Trump's VP would never be allowed to have any thought of his own and would just be an errand-boy or girl.
Trump has already said loud and clear that he is his own adviser because he has "a very good brain". And who could ever follow his own changing policies and views? This would be the worst job in the world, not that I would feel sorry for the twit who accepts it.
I just could not believe that a grown man would say that he has a "good brain" and that he has "the best words". How childish is that? It reminded me of the time when my youngest son came back from school and proudly announced to his grandmother that he had passed first grade because he had a " big brain", something he had heard on Sesame Street. We thought it was cute since he was only 6 years old. At 69, hummm ... not so cute.

Jordan wants Sarah to be VP candidate because Track will have Secret Service protection and there will be less chance she gets beat up again.

  31. Anonymous8:12 AM

Trump will need Ohio and Florida. I just don't see him going with anyone who isn't legit, plus he needs someone who knows how government work and he has said he will go with an establishment person. Kasich and Rubio are not interested but I can see Trump pursuing them. This week Bill O'Reilly told Gingrinch on Fox that he is sure Trump will pick Gingrich. That would be a mistake but would make a lot more sense than some other choices, like Christie, whose bridgegate scandal is back in the news. I don't see Gingrich as happening. It would only make matters worse. There'd be two cheating blowhards on the ticket. Trump will need someone who makes the ticket humane and appealing to more voters. No way is Palin on the list, or if her name is typed on it that's just for appeasement.

    1. Anonymous8:45 AM

Wasn't Gingrich the guy that left his one wife because she had MS? Seems like I recall reading that about him.

He and Trump are two of a kind! They will never win!!!

    1. Anonymous9:33 AM

Lies, all lies. Unless someone picked up the snowmachine and hit him with it? He had the living s^^t beat out of him, either by Track or someone else. Maybe a dissatisfied "customer" at his brothel? Maybe, since he is a puny little person, one of his "ladies" punched him out?

    2. Anonymous10:27 AM

Or, perhaps someone Sarah hired to beat the shit out of Todd boy? That wouldn't surprise me one tiny bit!

Alaskans are not seeing or hearing from, or of, Todd and the silence is pretty deadening about Sarah too, come to think of it! But, that is pure gold!

Can you even imagine the fucking uproar if this had come out about Obama?

‘He humiliated women’: Chris Wallace smacks down Reince Priebus for blowing off Trump’s sexism

...During an interview on Sunday, Fox News host Chris Wallace asked the chairman if he was bothered by a New York Times report that found “repeated instances of Trump insulting women and making unwanted advances even in the workplace.”

“Well, you know, a lot of things bother me,” Priebus shrugged. “And obviously, I’m the wrong person to be asking that particular question.”

“Wait a minute,” Wallace interrupted. “Why are you the wrong person? You’re the chairman of the party. This is your nominee, and they’re saying he has mistreated women.”

“People just don’t care,” Priebus replied. “I think people look at Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and say, ‘Who is going to bring an earthquake to Washington, D.C.?'”

“I don’t think Donald Trump and his personal life is something that people are looking at and saying, ‘Wow, I’m surprised that he’s had girlfriends.’ That’s not what people look at.”

Wallace stopped Priebus: ‘Whoa, forgive me, sir. It’s not whether or not he had girlfriends. The question is whether or not he mistreated women, whether he made unwanted advances, whether he humiliated women in the workplace.”

WATCH: CNN Host Destroys Trump Campaign Manager For Denying Trump Acted As His Own Publicist

...On Sunday morning’s State of the Union, Tapper played the now infamous tape of Trump impersonating his own PR guy, and then asked campaign manager Paul Manafort if the campaign is “seriously claiming that wasn’t Mr. Trump?” Manafort stuck to his story but Tapper pressed on and put Manafort on the spot. Tapper said:

“In 1990 under oath he testified he did use the name John Barron, and in 1991 he told People magazine he did use the name John Miller so this has already been admitted previously. I don’t understand why now.”

Manafort then said, “I don’t know those facts to be true or not. I just know that he said it’s not him. I believe him.” He then went on in an attempt to change the subject, citing what he said was the lack of importance of the issue:

“I don’t even know the relevance of this frankly. It’s 25 years old and they’re not dealing with the issues that Trump is trying to focus on today. Jobs, terrorism, immigration problems. These are the issues we should be talking about. Why the media is spending so much time going by 25 years, talking about People magazine on a tape that may or may not be Trump.”

But Tapper wasn’t having it, and he explained the relevance of the story to Manafort. Here’s what he said:

“This issue is here you have a man who in his 40’s allegedly is his own public relations agent, bragging about his exploits with women while married to Ivana Trump, the mother of his three children and speaks to a certain kind of character issue don’t you think?”

It's one thing to say it was 25 years ago, when, 25 years ago you were, say 25. And have grown up and have a track record to prove improvement.

It's another thing entirely to be 40-ish and speaking all sexy about someone who isn't your wife.

I think the "that was 25 years ago meme" is intended to speak to the person (guy) who would say, "I wouldn't want what I did 25 years ago come back to haunt me."

Nobody would, if they were a total jerk. But, if that total jerk hasn't changed his way in 25 years, it doesn't matter if he was 10 years old or 100.

It shows a personality disorder that the problem continues to today.

It also shows a lot of enabling along the way if the person never felt the need to change because there were no consequences to them for the bad behavior. Or no one clued them in on the inappropriateness of the behavior.)

DARN! this guy is soooo much like Sara and the Palin family. Except he is smarter and hires better lawyers and tax people.

Imagine Sarah Palin in the White House

Sarah Palin may soon exchange her current occupation as professional rambler for another more structured job as the second hand to a shouting, shriveled piece of dried mango.

According to political insider and barely-awake neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Sarah Palin is among the names that Republican presidential nominee-to-be Donald Trump may tap for his vice president. Carson told The Washington Post that Palin is among a list that includes John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Chris Christie.

Imagine if Trump actually chose Palin? Imagine if we had a repeat of 2008? Imagine if we had to endure another six months of the former Alaska Gov. shouting about mavericks and Bill Nye and kicking ISIS’ ass?

Better yet, just imagine Sarah Palin in the White House, serving as the Vice President of the United States of America. I’ll bet it’d look something like this. (See video)

  46. Sarah as the VP candidate? Okay, let's give this some thought.

The GOP National Convention is 18-21 July. That's two months away -- a LOT can happen in two months, especially because this is the Palin Freak Show we are talking about.

By that time, Jordan will be six months pregnant and clearly showing. Will she and Track be married by then? If so -- or even if not -- will Sarah trot out Jordan and Track as an example of her All-American, God-Fearing family?

Will Track be out of jail? Or will he beat the shit out of Jordan or some other woman and be facing more charges?

Will Sarah trot out all three and one-in-the-oven of her grandchildren -- none of them conceived in wedlock?

What about Trigg?? Back in 2008, Sarah could cart him around on her hip like a sack of groceries. Now he's a fully mobile 8-yr-old who is not toilet trained, does not eat solid food, and whose favorite word is "Bullshit!!"

Then there's the matter of Bristol and MOH. Will MOH campaign for Sarah? With MOH spending so much time with Sailor, maybe he and Bristol will decided to get married -- or maybe she'll just decide to get knocked up again.

How will Sarah deal with the fact the Bristol is the unmarried single mother of two children, by two different fathers?

Maybe we could start a campaign to help Sarah nail down the VP slot -- letters, email, twitter to Carson and Trump; contact the RNC; maybe a Sarah For VP Facebook page -- let's give her all the help we can!!!

While RNC flack Reince Priebus was taking to the airways telling everyone that "no one cares" about the recent New York Times article criticizing Trump for his abuse of women, Herr Drumpf was making it perfectly clear that there's one person who cares very much about that article...him.

    1. Anonymous10:14 AM

I believe that President Obama and VP Biden will keep some briefings from the eyes of Trump! They have the power to do so!

Trump is the LAST one that should be privy to classified information!

    2. Anonymous10:19 AM

I wouldn't worry about it. The intelligence agencies get to decide what they're going to tell the candidates and what they're going to leave out. They won't be giving Hairball anything truly classified.

    Business Insider-
America's former top spy is worried about Donald Trump

Michael Hayden didn't mince words when asked about Donald Trump's proposal to bar Muslim immigrants and tourists from entering the US.

It's not legally possible, the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency told Business Insider in an interview. It's morally reprehensible.

And, frankly, "it's dumb as dirt."

"Why in God's name would you want to close the borders of our nation to the adherence to one of the world's great monotheisms?" Hayden said during an interview in Business Insider's Manhattan headquarters.

... "He has not shown me the capacity to treat international issues with the complexity and seriousness that they deserve," Hayden said. "And again, if I'm supposed to ignore those things — 'that was just done for the crowd' — frankly, that's an even worse problem. I'm going to take him at face value."

.... "Of the candidates left, the only one who in any way seems to embrace the American liberal post-World War II foreign-policy consensus, have a fairly active American role in global things — the only one left standing is Hillary Clinton," Hayden said. "

.... The difference between Secretary Clinton and Trump — I mean, Trump is talking about the world in a way that takes us back to the 1930s. I mean, he's talking almost isolationism, America first. He's talking about distributing A-bombs around the world. Those are crazy positions," Panetta told CNN's Chris Cuomo.

    He added:

I'm not sure what he stands for. I'm not sure what his positions are. He takes one position one day, he takes another position the next day. He takes positions on, you know, immigration and building a wall, on getting rid of 11 million immigrants. He talks about distributing atomic weapons so that it's OK if Japan gets atomic weapons, if Korea gets atomic weapons. He says these things almost as if he's not even thinking. And then, you know, the next day he kind of changes his position to try to soften some of the things he says....

A few posts back the topic was Palin as 'Mother of Trump'...that her VP candidacy paved the way for Trump. For years, Gryphen and most of the people who comment here have lamented how Palin has harmed our nation's political discourse and our democracy. And, now, many of these same people are saying how great it would be if Trump put her on the ticket? Seriously? Why do you hate America?

    1. Anonymous11:06 AM

Put a fresh battery in your snark-meter. Might clear a few things up.

    2. Anonymous11:09 AM

10:33 maybe if you had paid attention to the posts on IM from 2008 to the present you would note the many ways Palin would be a serious detriment to Trump's winning the presidency. Win, win for Dems! This is a very basic logic. Perhaps you ought to consider a critical thinking class. And, as far as hating "America” (note North, Central and South America are separate geographic designations, and btw, is that you Sarah?) freedom-loving patriots pay attention to how a fascist like Trump gains traction by appealing to fearful, low-information citizenry. Check out the reasons for WWII. How about turning off the Faux News and begin reading different and conflicting news sources so you can see the many sides to an issue? I assure you it will up your game.

    3. Anonymous4:19 PM

If I may agree with 10:33 for a minute without getting shat upon.... S/he has a point that McCain's putting Palin on his ticket in 2008 ushered in this era of "it's ok to be an idiot racist". Putting her in the spotlight again will just repeat the cycle. She didn't have to win anything to cause havoc the last time, and this time would be no different.

But I also realize that many commenters are snarking (is that a verb?) in their desire to see her once again in our faces on every news network, so there's that too. Since it's getting to be so difficult to tell satire from reality, we may have to resort to satire notifications.

Clinton team looking for a VP who will be fighter, excite Sanders supporters

Hillary Clinton is considering a running mate who could make a direct appeal to supporters of Bernie Sanders, bridging a generational and political divide, according to four people close to the campaign.

Clinton’s chief requirements include a candidate’s resume and a fighter capable of hand-to-hand combat with Trump. The campaign’s vetting also prioritizes demographics over someone from a key swing state as she seeks to unify the Democratic voting base, said the individuals coordinating with the campaign, who were not authorized to speak on the record about early deliberations.

Is It Too Late In The Election To Swing Millennial Voters?

There’s a lot at stake this election season and securing the youth vote will be more important than ever before. Why? Millennials are the largest and most diverse generation and make up the biggest population of eligible voters, with some 75 million nationwide. Between the age of 18 and 35, their priorities and concerns have shaped agendas and, when channeled, have brought substantial energy to presidential campaigns like that of Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama before him.

As Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump come into focus as their parties’ nominees, how can they bring millennials over to their side? And is that even possible at this stage of the campaign?

It's horrifying to most sane people on the planet to think that this demagogue and any of the GOP zealot could ever get to make decisions that will affect the security of the rest of the world and your every day life for the foreseeable future with 2 or 3 Supreme Court appointments in the balance. It's good to share opinions and commiserate on a blog but we hope that you will show up to vote next November. We can only watch with horror from afar and hope that Democrats will unite and vote for their nominee.
