Donald Trump calls Sarah Palin a "free agent" essentially throws her to the wolves over comments about Paul Ryan being "Cantor'd."

Courtesy of the Washington Times:

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump said Monday he doesn’t have anything to with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s stated support for a candidate challenging House Speaker Paul D. Ryan in a GOP primary, calling the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee a “free agent.”

“I have nothing to do with that. Sarah is very much a free agent,” Mr. Trump said on CNN’s “New Day.” “She’s a terrific person, but she’s very much a free agent, and I didn’t know about this until yesterday.”

“I guess she’s been fighting, or she’s endorsing somebody that’s running against Paul Ryan, and I didn’t know about it until yesterday when I read about it,” Mr. Trump said.

Ouch! Talk about being left out in the cold.

So it appears that Palin is kinda sorta in the loop with Trump, but when she goes off reservation she is just on her own.

By the way here is the dude that Sarah Palin is endorsing to take Ryan on in the primaries.

Oh yeah, he's a winner.

As for Ryan he has already stated that if Trump wants him to step down as the chairman of the Republican National Convention he is willing to do it

Personally I think that he, like many other Republicans, is just looking for an excuse to skip the convention.

Ouch is right but maybe its "Your fired"!
And that guy, well he doesn't have to worry b/c Dems are taking back the house and Nancy will be Speaker again.
Paul Ryan didn't want to be speaker and he certainly hasn't done anything of noteworthy value, of course none of them have.
Dipshits all of 'em any of 'em!
The Donald better make sure old Tawdry doesn't have any video of him with his girlz or access to his private jet, he may get water in the jet fuel, you know how that happens so frequently...doncha know.

Trump said Ryan placed a congratulatory call to him and Ryan said he didn't. Trump, liar that he is, may have put Palin up to endorsing Ryan's opponent. But it would be a lot more fun if she surprised him and ends up the fool if Trump and Ryan reach an agreement at their Thursday meeting.

I kind of think Palin surprised herself because when Jake Tapper brought up Ryan's opponent the other day, she seemed to come up with the idea to support him right then and there and only knew his last name because Tapper had used it. And she replied with something so incredibly generic about the guy that it really seemed she hadn't before thought about the matter.

And whatever happened re Palin, we know Trump lied about Ryan's call! Man, he's always lying or exaggerating about all the many people who call him to praise him and tell him he's right or who call or come in to Trump Tower to ask for favors.

I saw it on a replay. To me it seemed Jake Tapper was leading with his question about her supporting Nehlen. The question may have been planted or $arah had not actually though about supporting Nehlen prior to that conversation. In any case, this should create a real kink in Trump's cog at Thursday's meeting. No doubt Trump will be repeating the line about $arah being her own free agent. No more private plane rides for YOU $arah.

I watched the interview when it first aired yesterday morning. Shortly after the interview Palin had her SarahPac support for Nehlen on
her fb. I say planted story and if I remember correctly Tapper looked a little surprised when he saw how Palin reacted to the announcement.

4:34 exactle, she didn't even know what Nehlen's name was, you could see the light bulb (although dim) go off in her eyes...(publicity! donations to me!) Trump was pretty clear about it...a free agent is someone who is between teams, hoping to get picked up by some other team.

Gryphen's right. I heard on CNN this morning that Paul Ryan would like not to have to go to the convention and preside and he had an out, but of course Trump is making it sound like he's the big strong man who will kick Ryan out if he decides to. Ryan offered not to preside over the convention. He beat Trump to the topic but Trump's trying to claim that it's his own choice, not Ryan's, that would be what made Ryan go or not.

IF BERNIE CAN'T BEAT HILLARY WITH DELEGATES, HOPEFULLY SHE WILL HAVE HEALTH ISSUES

    HUH?

Is this what Bernie's campaign surrogates have come down to?

Wishing health problems on Bernie's opponent?

    Mediaite:
Susan Sarandon Pins Hopes For Bernie Sanders Win on Hillary Clinton Having ‘Health Issues’

One of Sanders’ most vocal and vociferous surrogates has now taken those hopes to a dark place. In a recent interview with Larry King, Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon said she’s still not ready to say she would vote for Hillary over Donald Trump, and told King that she’d “see what happens.”

Asked what could happen to give Bernie the nomination, here’s what Sarandon said:

"So many things. She could have health issues. She could not get the nomination."

Bernie Sanders' $33 trillion spending explosion
By BRIAN FALER 05/09/16 01:11 PM EDT

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has proposed a whopping $33 trillion federal spending increase over 10 years, according to a new report likely to fuel complaints his campaign promises are unrealistic.
His proposed tax increases would not come anywhere close to covering those costs, the centrist Tax Policy Center said Monday, and his plan would drive federal debt to “unprecedented” levels.

The report comes as rival Hillary Clinton, now closing in on the Democratic party’s nomination, has repeatedly complained that the numbers behind Sanders’ tax-and-spending plans do not add up. Clinton has proposed a far more modest legislative agenda, though she has nevertheless been under pressure by Sanders to tack leftward.

Even after accounting for his $15.3 trillion in tax increases, the Tax Policy Center said, Sanders would still add $21 trillion to the debt over the next decade. That would amount to more than doubling the big deficits the government is already projected to run.

That would create a potentially significant drag on the economy, which could increase costs for everyone from businesses looking to invest in new equipment to people trying to buy a home, said Len Burman, head of the Washington-based group.

“That could be very damaging to the economy,” he said. “Sanders would obviously need a whole lot more revenues to pay for this.”

There should be no free tuition except for community or state colleges. Period. People who want an education that actually counts for something will pay top price for higher education, same as we that want our children to succeed pay for them to go to private K-12.

There is no free lunch and none of Bernie's free college will get anyone more than an advanced degree in making my two daily lattes.

Trump Supporters Want Revenge – Against the Republican Establishment

"For whites, combined with their perceived social isolation, Trump lit a spark constructing a series of scapegoats these folks find plausible."

It would be stunning indeed if there were very many Americans unwilling to admit that a fairly large segment of the populace are angry, frightened and looking for revenge. These people want revenge against a broad swathe of America whether it is over the losing the Civil War, the election of Barack Obama, equal rights for all Americans; or the fact that America is not an Aryan Christian nation.

Now that anger, fear, and lust for revenge has, as many pundits claim, resulted in a political party that seems to be visibly coming apart at the seams. Those pundits also note that it is a rarity that a fair portion of the population is so on edge about its politics, but they seem to misunderstand why the population at large is “on edge.”

While many Americans are still in a state of shock that a racist, pugilistic, former wrestling television celebrity will actually be on the presidential ballot in November, experts are beginning to opine on why Donald Trump appeals to millions. That appeal is not a mystery to anyone remotely familiar with the past decade of Republican politics, and many pundits are asserting that what Trump and his supporters have accomplished is a “hostile takeover of one of America’s two major political parties.”

Here’s the thing though; some of the same pundits claim that Trump tapped in to “seething voter anger among Republicans across the country who say they were betrayed by Republicans over the past twelve years.” What that means to a sane human being is that instead of a “hostile takeover,” Trump is just promising to soothe angry conservative voters’ wounds by doing what Republicans promised, but knew they could never deliver; to create a white Christian nation ruled by a Republicans’ iron fist.

Clinton only up 4 in our new national poll because GOP has unified very quickly. Full poll out tomorrow morning

    6:19 PM - 9 May 2016

The pressure is on Trump to get along with the 'establishment' to keep closing the poll gap and to raise money for the campaign. I expect he'll go on his sociopathic charm offensive.

You know how cats will sometimes roll on their backs, and look all sleepy eyed, please rub my tummy, just like your dog does? Then when you go to give the critter that belly rub, he clamps onto your hand with teeth and claws? Seems to me that Ryan has that cat behavior all down pat.

These guys are running too much of our country as it is. Michigan's latest Tea Party-controlled government scandal involves a $47 million computer system used by the state's unemployment department to accuse citizens of committing fraud simply because they lost their jobs. The modern GOP in action. This motorcycle guy would fit in perfectly. No wonder Sarah Palin likes him.

There are over 3k comments on Palin's fb about her support for this guy...Here is a sample...

Go home Palin, go under your rock and stay there.

Stephen Moeller How is condemning Paul Ryan's right to free speech a bad thing? We need more Paul Ryans from both parties to get things done and not be myopic, not Cruzs Palins, Trumps, Warrens, or Clintons

Charles Pavlik Lol he abandoned his district. At least it wasn't an entire state.

Michael Praytor Tell us again which person's career is over?

Kessie Love Paul Ryan didn't seek the position in the first place. I am sure if Drumpf wins, he will be happy to hand it over.

Andrea Nafziger Christian How can Sarah Palin support anybody in an election in which she can't even vote?

Ray Talke Hmmm...Should we support the most intelligent member of Congress, or someone endorsed by someone who single-handidly torpedoed McCain's campaign and failed to even complete her term in office? Tough decision.

Paul Saganski Maybe he can get himself a reality TV series instead.

Oh yeah ... and to add insult to injury Trump names Christie his transition guy...don't I remember that Christie is on Sarah's hit list?

Sarah are you in or out?

    ● Palin, who formally endorsed Trump for president back in January, then said she’s not interested in the vice presidential slot.

[Anybody confused? Didn't Sarah say she wants to be Trump's vp?]

    ● She suggested any move by the Trump campaign to vet her for the role would be foolish.

    [Ain't that the truth]

    WND:
SARAH PALIN REMOVES SELF FROM VP SHORTLIST
'I don't want to be a burden on the ticket'

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and the one-time running mate for John McCain during the senator’s failed 2008 run for the White House, took herself out of the mix of possible vice presidential candidates presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump could pick, saying she knows her limits and many don’t like her. [Yup]

“Well, I want to help and not hurt,” she said, during a “State of the Union” interview on CNN. “And I am such a realist that I realize there are a whole lot of people out there who would say ‘anybody but Palin.'”
[Sarah we've been saying that since 2008. You're just now comprehending it?]

He could, and would, snap her lights out in a hot second if she ever tried to go rogue on herr donald. He's probably also made that very clear to her from day one when he agreed to drag her sorry carcass back onto the scene.

He didn't hire her because she was wonderful or talented or even sane. He hired her because so many rational, sane people despise her and she appeals to the people that he would never lower himself to spend any of his precious time with. He needs to punish those of us who see right thru him while picking up each and every scraggly vote floating around out there. Enter Palin, patron saintress of dead lakes.

Realizing that I am responding to troll bait, Levi has 3 kids and is happily married. Which part of that life style is "indiscriminate"? No, getting pregnant at 14 is not called "rape". Getting pregnant is called "rape"? There are many laws throughout the states, some have the age of consent lower than 14. Some would not consider intercourse statutory rape if the teens are near each other in age. But you know all that
