Fox News and the Sanders' campaign are pressuring Hillary Clinton into another debate. Ain't gonna happen.

Courtesy of Politico:

Sen. Bernie Sanders has accepted a Fox News invitation for a Democratic debate in California, the Sanders campaign announced on Wednesday.

“Both campaigns have been invited by Fox News to a debate. We have told the network that we would accept the invitation with the understanding that we can reach mutual agreement on the debate moderators, the format and other details,” Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ campaign manager said in a statement.

Fox News has expressed interest in holding a Democratic debate for months and has been publicly lobbying the Democratic National Committee.

I'm sorry there is NO way that the Sanders' campaign does not see this for what it is, a last ditch effort to destroy Hillary Clinton's chances of earning the nomination.

Fox News has been the 24 hour anti-Hillary channel ever since she launched her campaign.

Obviously if they had both Sanders and Clinton on the same debate stage they would work to sabotage her while lobbing softballs at him.

After all Fox News and the Republicans would LOVE it if Bernie Sanders beat Hillary Clinton out for this nomination.

And the fact that it appears the Sanders' campaign is willing to join forces with Fox News to make that happen is quite revealing.

What else could they possibly talk about in a debate? I sure don't want to listen to another one until after the gop and Democratic conventions.

Hillary Clinton has no need, duty or reason to meet Bernie in a debate on FOX! She's already beat him hands down!

Bernie has lost and Hillary will be named the nominee for the Democratic party.

Bernie - bow out 'gracefully' IF that word is even in your vocabulary! Get rid of the ego! It's grown way too big and is ridiculous to watch!

    4. I actually think that Hillary would come out relatively unscathed, she has after all essentially won all of the debates so far.

However it is clearly a trap, and she has nothing to gain and everything to lose, so accepting this challenge really only works in favor of Sanders and Fox News.

If you were her advisor, you'd tell her not to do it. If it were Bernie with the kind of lead she has, he wouldn't do it, either. It's ridiculous on it's face. Sanders needs to win in every remaining primary by tens of points to catch up. It's not going to happen.

I am sick of the butt-hurt whiners on the Bernie side. They are desperately trying to believe that Bernie will somehow perform a miracle and win the nom. Since his chances are slim to none, they have to lay the blame on someone. Of course, it is the "establishment" (Democratic Party.) I have been listening to progressive talk radio today and the Bernie people who call in express their indignation at the situation at the Nevada convention. Except they blame the moderators of the convention for the bad behavior of the Bernie people. "They were frustrated," they say. Oh really? Is this how democracy works? The loudest and the most angry get to call the shots?

Bernie needs to face reality and tell his supporters to do so as well.

I never thought Faux news was real. It was designed to wear into your consciousness and make you believe what's not real. Megyn Kelly is being heralded as a hard questioning reporter. She talks a good talk with that sexy little outfit she wore on Steven Colbert, and in the magazine More but I believe that the synapses aren't connecting in there. That ship sailed when she said "we all know santa is white" Donald is such an ass in that interview. Like he wants to slap the woman but we know the Republican establishment is training his ass. They hate women just as much as he and that is why they have been building this machine carefully to bring down Hillary for over thirty years. Hopefully they don't succeed.

That interview last night made me sick. I had admired Kelly for standing her ground before and also for having Michelle Fields, the former Breitbart reporter who Lewandowski grabbed, on to tell her story and Kelly stood by her fellow journalist. But last night was a gift to Trump. He was horrible in terms of not answering specifically enough and he also did his usual of turning into the questioner a couple times, including when he smirked off having called her a bimbo and suggested she'd been called much worse and he asked her to agree. What I hated most was how she'd break into a smile and the camera would stay on her and she actually came across as somewhat flirtatious. And she came across as saying that nothing he'd done was so big a deal and she seemed charmed by him. Seriously, if he and she were not married to others, I think the media all would have wondered if they'd hooked up afterward.

I’ve been an unapologetic shill for Bernie Sanders, writing articles, sending small donations and attending rallies, but after the recent debacle in my home state of Nevada, coupled with undeniable delegate math, it has became clear to me that Bernie cannot win the nomination. It’s sad for his supporters, like me. But what is more troubling is the heated, false and sometimes vile rage coming out of some Bernie supporters, as they grow ever more frustrated at the loss. I’ve worked hard in my own life to embrace progressive values, and the rhetoric coming from some parts of my own community reminds me of the Tea Party.

Bernie should give a rousing speech at the convention and hammer hard at the party platform. He’s changed the conversation for a decade or more, but there is a fine line between supporting a candidate and adopting fact-denying, slanderous behavior that we rightfully condemn when it’s spewed from the right.

Despite my warm, abiding love for Bernie, I can count. Hillary won Nevada, and she won the state convention. She has won more states and votes than my guy. It’s sad, but I’m not a poor loser. Nevada Bernie supporters are furious they weren’t able to wrest more delegates from a state that Sanders lost.

Sorry, Bernie: I love you, but this is over — and getting embarrassing

His campaign money that should have gone to down ticket candidates went to his family's Rome trip. Once again he got someone else to provide for his shenanigans. Jane's family and BS's friends always have their hand out when Jane and BS come into a little dough from other sources. Shameful.

If he were actually going to run as a Democrat his behavior would be different. Once again he was just using an easier path letting someone else do the tasks, rather than putting in the hard work to run as an Independent - which is what he has always been.

That quote isn't from the ex-aide. It's from Thomas Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, the conservative "watchdog" group.

Why would you fail to mention who was quoted, letting us believe it was from the ex-aid instead of a right-wing dude who has it out for the Clintons, Obama, and Liberals, in general?

This is not yet just another last ditch attempt t for the Sanders campaign. This ratings for FOX news at the expense of the Democrats. There is no longer a horse race in the GOP primaries. They need the drama of tension and discord for their ratings.

  33. As I said on the other thread, of course, Sanders needs free advertising, ideally before the CA primary. That's all this is about.

He worked the circuit, got on all the broadcast TV Sunday morning shows, I watched a lot of them. He did well, they weren't 'gotcha' interviews, he got his message out.

If more people did not respond to it, that is not Hillary's fault, or Debbie Wasserman-Schultz' fault, or the DNC's fault, or the media's fault. It may not even be Bernie's fault. It may just ... be what it is.

He is behind by three million votes in the Democratic primaries and caucuses, and yet he's losing only because the system is rigged. And his followers throw a conniption because they fail in turning a caucus vote loss in Nevada into a delegate majority. I regret all the good things I used to think about him. He really is a monumental narcissist

Funny how Bernie's never questioned the rules before since he has been a DC 'insider' for 25 years and has caucused with the Dems. For doing 'so much for the poor and working class' -- why the need to have to 'introduce' yourself to the nation? Guess it was in his 'Vermont State bubble' that he did this -- Vermont -- a mega white state!!! Personally -- I see Sanders as the 'Dem Trump'. For years I've commented that the Konservative Klown Klan and I've added Sanders to this too:
    1) They spew the BS and lies.
    2) They accept no responsibility and blame others for ALL
    their BS and actions.
    3) Whine.
    4) Play the VICTIM. It's a continuous cycle -- It's never their fault.

Bernie will never tell his supporters that Hillary has 3 million more votes than him and more pledged delegates than him. Because then he would have to admit the truth, which is, more people like Hillary's policy platform and experience than his! Bernie is in denial and just can't face the fact that Hillary is beating him badly! Just the thought of not appearing before massive adoring supporters scares Bernie beyond belief so he won't give it up! The same thing will happen to Trump when Hillary beats him in November!

"nd in terms of popular vote, Clinton leads Sanders, 13.2 million votes to 10.2 million. Here’s the current delegate math after more delegates were allocated in Kentucky and Oregon:

In pledged delegates, Clinton currently holds a lead of 277 delegates

    Clinton 1,771 (54%)
    Sanders 1,494 (46%)
Clinton must win 32% of remaining pledged delegates to get a majority in pledged delegates

Sanders must win 68% of remaining pledged delegates to get a majority in pledged delegates

In overall delegates (pledged + super), Clinton holds an overall lead of 765 delegates"

    Politico:
Bit player Sanders poised to become Senate force
But Democrats warn he could blow his newfound clout if he doesn't move to unite the party soon.
    By BURGESS EVERETT
    05/19/16 05:24

Long a lonely voice of the left in the Senate, Bernie Sanders is poised to return to his day job as a potential kingmaker after a presidential campaign that made him a household name and hero of the progressive movement.

But the Vermont senator risks frittering away that newfound clout, Democratic senators said Wednesday, if he doesn’t move soon to unite the party and train his fire on Donald Trump.

... Is he going to support her and campaign for her, or is he going to help elect Donald Trump?

... That’s starting to grate on senators. Democrats say they want to give Sanders a hearty welcome when he returns as a high-profile leader of the party’s progressive arm, but that it will be difficult the way the campaign is unfolding.

... But senators are worried that the hour is growing late for the Sanders unity tour to begin....

What is Sanders trying to prove hurting Clinton on purpose in the last primary with no chance of winning the nomination.

So what. All he is doing from now till the end of the primary season is helping Trump make Clinton look bad.

    MSNBC
According to the Times’ piece, for example, Team Sanders believes it may yet win the California primary, where polls show him trailing, which might have “a psychological impact” on Democrats. OK, but then what? If the idea is that Democratic insiders will ignore the will of the voters and the delegate count because of one primary result, awarding Sanders the nomination despite his second-place finish, there’s no reason to believe such a scenario is plausible.

The same article said Team Sanders is willing to hurt Clinton, on purpose, even as the general-election phase gets underway. OK, but then what? There’s still no reason to believe this will prompt party officials to override the primary and caucus results.

      "California...where polls show him trailing"
The last published poll out of CA was April 30. Based on how actively Sanders is campaigning in CA - 2 and 3 rallies a day, I think his internal polling shows he can win.

What will prompt the supers to vote for Bernie is the state poll after state poll coming out that shows he beats Trump by significantly wider margin than Clinton and sometimes beats him in states - GA, AZ - where Trump beats Clinton.

Do you really think Sanders would be campaigning any differently whether or not they "can win?"

Everything you've written is pure speculation. He's trying to keep his campaign going. As long as he has money, he will be going hard in California. If his internal polling showed he could win, they would have leaked the results.

These are just the figurative death throes of a dying campaign.

TRUMP CLOSER TO CHOOSING PALIN AS VP, ADDS MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR HER VETTING TO CAMPAIGN

It appears that Donald Trump can't avoid being linked to Sarah Palin, one way or another.

    Trump-Palin 2016?
The first names to be announced as possible running mates for Trump were former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, and current Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin. The billionaire real estate mogul released the names during an interview on Fox News, and within hours it was also leaked that former half-term Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was at the top of the list.
