President Obama: World leaders "rattled" by Donald Trump.

Courtesy of the Guardian:

Speaking at the G7 summit in Ise-Shima, central Japan, Obama said his fellow leaders were “surprised by the Republican nominee” and unsure how to respond to his brash style of politics.

“They are rattled by [him] and for good reason,” Obama said on Thursday. “Because a lot of the proposals he has made display either ignorance of world affairs, or a cavalier attitude, or an interest in getting tweets and headlines, instead of actually thinking through what it is required to keep America safe and secure and prosperous, and what’s required to keep the world on an even keel.”

Hard to blame the rest of the world for wondering just what the fuck is up with America these days.

One would think that after the disastrous presidency of George Bush, followed by the success of Obama's presidency, that the American voters would want to build on that success by working to elect a politician with competence and the ability to move us forward, not set the whole thing aflame and laugh while it burns.

By the way Trump responded to this news by saying that world leaders being rattled is a good thing:

"When you rattle someone, that's good," Trump said at a news conference in North Dakota. "If they're rattled in a friendly way, that's a good thing ... not a bad thing."

I have no idea what "rattled in a good way" means, but then neither does Trump. He just says whatever idiotic thing pops into his head, which is part of the reason that those world leaders are  concerned.

I really think that once Trump is beaten that the Republican part will for all intents and purposes be undone as a national party and will have to work very hard to regain the country's trust.

Actually come to think of that I believe the same would hold true even if Trump won the presidency.

While I can understand the frustration of citizens of this country not feeling that they're not being heard by those elected to represent them, his supporters have no CLUE what they're in for with him at the helm. Don't come whining when it happens.

Unfortunately, the rest of us will suffer also, too! Lots of people were against the dim witted Dubya, but the gop managed to put that idiot into the WH TWICE. Seems the gop has no patience for intelligent people. tRump is a blowhard clown and the rest of the world sees that clearly. The racist idiots in the USA can only see orange skin and a big mouth spewing idiotic things.

  2. Coming from the country that attacked us at Pearl Harbor in an attempt to take over the world, that's a pretty funny comment.

Personally, I'm afraid of either Trump or Hillary becoming President. What a stupid country we live in.

I can't believe a sitting president would say such things about a presidential candidate on the world stage. It is unconscionable and just plain dumb. Talk about purposely interjecting fear politics in a campaign, trying to involve world leaders in his little make believe drama. Very little respect left for this president.

Yes, even the repugs are "rattled" by this snake. And not in a good way.
Having locked up the nomination, the Trumpbagger is forced to spend the next six months exposing his fucked up self to the world. It will be another embarrassing takedown like the Annual Press Corp dinner on steroids. So much shit is going to be exposed there won't be enough toilet paper in all of Trumpdom to wipe it away.

I hope the Democratic Party and Independents are researching everything in Trumps life and various individuals will be organized to constantly hit at him with FACTS for the next six months. I want to see them keep him going in circles with having to respond to the comments to where he is more of a mess than he already is.

He will NOT be POTUS! The guy is a proven ass, liar and fraud! Plus, I suspect he is not a very smart man! Ego drives him and nothing more.

6:52 I agree. He is not a smart man, he is a blowhard self agrandizing clown. The gop is to blame for his rise in the polls. They obstructed EVERYTHING our President tried to do, yet gather around this ass as though he is the second coming. When $carah PayMe gets on board, that is a warning right there that the guy is crooked. Honesty and intelligence are not admirable qualities in either tRump or PayMe's world. I am waiting for the "news" to come out that Malaria was a high priced "escort" before meeting tRump. Successful models as she claims to be, do not have to resort to soft core lesbian photo shoots. She was struggling, then along cam moneybags tRump. I think that he is lying about being so rich also too.

A Bernie Sanders nomination has a better chance of defeating Trump in the general than does a Hillary Clinton one:

Why doesn't the media bring up the fact that Bernie was a deadbeat dad?

That he didn't hold a full-time job till he was 31 fucking years old?

Why won't he release his tax returns?

Thanks for the links. I would like to know the facts about all that. I keep reading comments and nothing more.

I don't have a problem with the second one because there are other successful accomplished people that did not have a work history until late in life.

I would like to know about the dad one. I know a great father that didn't have his kid until they were fairly old. What were Bernie's circumstances?

      Thanks.

It's hard to fathom people like Donald Trump. He started on this thinking he could run this country. But now, it's getting close, and I just don't know that he can. Not if he's going to be mean to minorities. I think, that part of him doesn't want to go away, and the fact that he has all the racist elements drawn to him spells trouble. Once it gets out of hand, it can't be undone. Like Hitler.

That's precisely what Bernie keeps hoping for, which is why he calls his movement a "revolution".
But you're absolutely right concerning Trumpism. I do have greater faith in the American electorate, however -- unless there is another terrorist attack on US soil. Then all bets are off, because fear is a horribly powerful weapon in the wrong hands.

"Trump’s campaign has been successful so far, and will surely be victorious in the end, because he is the only one who has brought death back into the discourse.
"Let us note the rise of suicide among white working-class men and women, of all ages. "
Guns and ODs or by whatever means possible.

The only people identified with death today on the global scene—the only people not part of the market and not able to be part of it—are terrorists, undocumented immigrants, the homeless and the mentally ill, those who have no claims to success in the market. Trump’s people want to make sure—from the purest feeling of shame known to politics—that they are not of the unchosen ones, they want to enforce a radical separation between their kind of shame" FEAR and SHAME, IT WORKS.

Trump's ignorance and bombastic style rattles me, too. I am scared that Trump might actually get elected because he won't follow any rules. He's a master showman and he has already fooled plenty of people who should be a little more skeptical of him. He has no policies, only insults. Rattled? You bet. I wish that more people would actually listen to the crap coming out of Trump's mouth and try to imagine him turning on their ethnic group. He is toxic.

Maybe it's time to check out Trump's actual qualifications. In the article in Huffington Post, his aide, Mannafort said that Trump needed a vice president who would do the work that Trump didn't want to do (or couldn't do). Trump just wants to run the place. He don't need no qualifications.

  15. "Trump is a disgrace, and yet somehow he remains idealized within a segment of the US population as the Maximum American, the ideal man, the savior. He is milk gone to curds, a fart in the elevator. That he would reach down through the oozing slime of history to grasp the sad refrain of Vince Foster's death only reinforces what many already know: He is a ruthless, remorseless wrecker capable of anything. His soul is a vat of pus."

I think someone will do Donald Trump IN before he gets too close to being elected POTUS. The guy is similar to Hitler and is frightening the majority of the population of the US.

Plus, overseas countries think we are nuts even thinking the jerk could be POTUS!

They are right to be concerned.

We are on the cusp of a Commander in Chief and World Leader who will refer to other countries as the Limeys, the Krauts, the Chinks, the Nips, the Beaners, the Kikes, the Ragheads, the WOPs, etc.

He continues to refer to Warren as Pocahontas. That's tame compared to what he'll be spewing if he is corrupted by the absolute power of the Presidency.

I'm surprised he hasn't said something equally derogatory about Bernie. Of course, Bernie hasn't squished him like a bug yet and since he's still running against Hillary, I'm sure Donald considers him some sort of warped and twisted ally. When Bernie embarrasses Trump publicly like Warren is going I'm sure Trump will be referring to Bernie Shylock or something equally disgusting. Then he'll make his faces and way "What?"

I don't think it is just a matter of Trump being unqualified or unpresidential. He is simply uncouth. He has no social skills. He has no manners. He has no FILTER.

If Bill and Hillary walked into my living room, sat down and confessed that everything that anyone ever said bad about them was absolutely true and then proceeded to confess the other things they have done that were much worse, I would still vote for Hillary in November rather than Trump or any third party candidate that can't possibly win.

There is absolutely nothing they could tell me that would be so bad that it would make me want to vote for Trump.
