DeleteIt is hard to put into words the depth of sinking feeling this kind of situation gives a person, especially when we think of women in general being in abusive relationships.
DeleteThe relationship is so unhealthy and perverse and disturbing, and it's hard to see a woman choose that over something healthy and constructive and positive. Sadly, out of it is coming a baby that is happening as a result of the ugliness, and this child will live with all the dysfunction for at least eighteen years. No matter what Lowe may tell herself now about the baby being about love, that fetus is connected to so many horrible things about humans that it has no choice but to be tied to. The baby itself is not the ugliness, of course.
It's so disappointing, too, to see a woman with so much information at hand about sick relationships and with so much publicity and help offered to her choose to just stay with this piece of crap named Track and agree to such a messed up life for years and years to come. The abuse was published worldwide. Sympathy came pouring in. Unlike so many other women, she had so many hands reaching out to help her. Because this case has been so public, and because the Palin way is taking the easy way when it comes to money and getting by in life without being responsible like the rest of us are and securing a home and work, and because this family is all about a lazy communal life of grifting, and because of all I’ve heard from IMers about her own behavior, it is impossible for me to feel sorry for Loewe. I hope she gets through her pregnancy without Track kicking her in the groin or shoving her into something, but if she weren’t pregnant I’d honestly not spend time posting about her.
I feel sorry, but not for her. I feel sorry for all the women out there who have endured men like Track and who are trying to extricate themselves from the situation or wish they could but for some reason can't. Loewe had my sympathy for having been hit and made fearful in the past, but I have no sympathy now. Normally, I understand that ending the cycle of abuse is hard. I get that. But Loewe had so much opportunity offered to her that many women in this country and worldwide don’t have. If ever there should have been a wake-up call, she had it. I just can’t muster any amount of understanding and sympathy for her.
I will just hope for the fetus’ safety and a healthy development free from the effects of alcohol and physical and mental abuse.

DeleteI remember seeing her posts with pics (Instagram?) about a year or more ago, and my armchair diagnosis is that she is likely to be bi-polar and/or BPD.

In almost every photo, her facial expressions were exaggerated and appeared very manic and almost all were accompanied by the trademark "finger". A puzzling personality. So Chuck and Sally Heath have four children. Among them there are 3 divorces (2 for sister Molly and 1 for Chuck), and 2 out of wedlock pregnancies (Sarah with Track and Chuck with his daughter). DeleteMy MIL NEVER bought even a port crib and she had 14 grandkids, 8 of them local. When we visited from 300 miles away, we either had to pack something, or the baby slept on the floor. Worked real well once she was crawling and in the bedroom next to the flight of stairs. Some people should not be parents or grandparents.

Maybe he really did only threaten to take his own life, but I remember hearing from a couple sources that he was actually threatening to shoot her. Either way, he should not be around kids and with a gun. And she should think about how she so easily could have had a miscarriage because of his hitting her--I would not excuse that just because he didn't know at the time that she was pregnant.

Got a Merit Scholarship from U of Virginia in 2013, but was attending UoA, Anchorage at the same time.
Got experience ('skills') in team building and problem solving. I guess that did not help her with her private relationship with Track.
Other skills in public health, healthcare, and energy(?)
Interests in psychology(?!) Definitely flunked that course, IMHO! Other interest in exercise. Does that include getting into fist fights and drunk brawls?

I was thinking the same thing about the scrips and not making it through--people think it will be fairly easy but it's hard, and I simply don't see a Palin or Palin-by-relationship being that disciplined or bright. Pathetic, too, that someone with a medical interest, someone who would have to call the cops if dealing with an abused patient, would not open her eyes and get out of her relationship with her abuser. The psychology here is interesting. A person embraces the man who beat her and threatened her life with a gun and who called 911, and now she wants to be of some kind of service to others? She needs to get herself help. If I lived in AK and she wer ea PA and was scheduled to be working with someone in my family, there's no way I'd let her touch any of us or even speak to my family members--immediately, I'd insist on someone else who I could at least assume was mentally stable and of good judgement.
DeletePhysician's Assistant or Pharmacy school? I had heard pharmacy school earlier. I don't know either one of them but I am a pharmacist and it's much harder than people think. The job itself isn't that bad but school is another story. And I had my parent's financial support as well as no spouse or children.

I worked in a pharmacy for more than a decade, and we were a teaching pharmacy in a hospital for a while. ReplyDeleteJordan graduated on May 1st from college. She did not graduate with any honors. Don't know about Alaaaaaska, but in my neck of the woods, that doesn't get you into a PA school or med school.

It made me wonder if they all wore tunics so the public would have to guess which one of them was pregnant. Including Piper. Sadly, it would not have been too much of a shock. Oh god, I never knew what changing a diaper was until a few years ago. I was 42 years old, agreed to watch neighbor baby. Baby had a poop that actually came out of her diaper and onto her back and then down her legs!
