Bernie Sanders on his admiration for Fidel Castro, and his distrust of both American political parties.

"I was very excited and impressed by the Cuban revolution."

In describing the Democratic and Republican parties, "There really wasn't a whole lot of difference between the two."

You know I think we have identified the underlying reason why Bernie Sanders keeps accusing the Democratic party of dishonesty, and how he really sees his "revolution."

Can you just imagine what Donald Trump would have done with this in the general election?

That is what Bernie's supporters didn't/don't understand. Bernie was NEVER vetted by either party. Did you ever see a negative Bernie ad by either party? I sure didn't.

That's why the GOP has been throwing everything they can at Clinton and soft handling Sanders. They know every thing there is to know about Sanders and have the attack ads lined up and ready to roll.
They'll use them if he is her VP, if he is mentioned as being in her cabinet, if he is anywhere NEAR the selection process at all...

19 Long but>"ELAINE KAMARCK: Clinton is being penalized because she has a realistic view of what can be done, and that leads people to mistake her for some kind of bad conservative. She’s not. She’s extraordinarily liberal, particularly on children and families. But because she’s been around a while, when Sanders comes out with this new radical stuff, they think, “Oh, he’s the one whose heart is in the right place.” But listen, she took on Wall Street before he did, in a way that hit their bottom line. If people really want to get something done, they’d vote for her."

Bernie did a good and important job for us just now, but his earlier career was not filled with impressive accomplishments. As Hillary's and Elizabeth's are.

What good work? Saing women's healthcare rights are unimportant? Or saying how wonderful big dirty coal is? Or how about his radical stand against soda taxes?
What good work? Or did you mean naming 2 post offices?
He has been a do-nothing for 30 yrs.

Technically, Bernie's right. The U.S. handled Cuba very badly, and both Dems and Repubs have made serious, and often violent, errors in foreign and domestic policy.

BUT. Bernie is no saint. And he has no real ability to effect a change to those policies he opposes. The point that anti-Bernie liberals have tried repeatedly to make is not that his views or proposals are necessarily incorrect, but that Bernie himself is as ruthless and ineffectual as the people he criticizes.

If I want a revolution, I'm not going to ask an entitled, pushy white guy from New England who was unemployed until he was 31 to start it. And even if I do, his "revolution" isn't going to accomplish jack shit. If I want a real revolution, I'm going to start it in the streets... specifically, in streets where Bernie supporters are afraid to visit.

In short, Bernie and his supporters are hopelessly bourgeois.

  6. "Not a whole lot of difference between the Republican and Democratic parties"???? Is Bernie Sanders an idiot? He's been living and working in the US for decades, and a politician no less and he doesn't see a "whole lot of difference"?

The man is an idiot. Or has dementia.

Democratic Socialist or full out Communist? Bernie needs to really tell us where his heart lies.

Karl Marx's idea was great in theory, but he forgot one thing, human nature. Communism is not working and has never worked for any long period of time. Reason - the greedy nature of humans. That nature is epitomized by Bernie himself.

It makes me sick the asshole was 'allowed' to join the Democratic party!

What is wrong with our country? With the likes of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump on the national and worldwide scene?

And, then include Newt Gingrich who is now going after President Obama! Not one of these men matches the intelligence of President Obama!

I hope you're being sarcastic. But with the burning hatred of Bernie here, I doubt it. The Democratic Party has destroyed itself, by becoming just as money hungry and tone deaf to the problems of normal folks as the Rethugs are. Let's all gather here after Hillary has had four years of sucking Wall Street and dropping bombs on everybody in the world. Shall we? Speaking of popcorn....

There's no difference between the Republican and Democratic Parties? Well, Bernie, why'd you pick the Democratic Party to run with? Seems like the GOP needs your revolution more than the DNC does.
