“He doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other,” Trump told Fox News Channel’s morning show.
“We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart or he’s got something else in mind,” he added, for good measure. “And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot – they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words radical Islamic terrorism. There’s something going on. It’s inconceivable.”
This is no random brain fart from the great orange one. He took the same line to NBC’s Today show, saying: “Well, there are a lot of people that think maybe he doesn’t want to get it.”
Richard Wolffe, who wrote the article for the Guardian, pointed out the flaw in Trump's characterization:
Just to be clear: we’re talking about the same president who ordered the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden, the civilized world’s greatest enemy.
As if that was not enough Trump went on to accuse Hillary Clinton of being too afraid of the President to use the phrase "radical Islamic terrorist" either:
Hillary Clinton uses the term "radical jihadism" rather than "radical Islamic terrorism" because she is "probably afraid" of President Barack Obama, Donald Trump said Monday.
“He’s the boss, OK? And she’s probably afraid of him because, obviously, you know, she probably thinks that he has a profound effect over her life."
Trump then added this:
"He’s protecting her from going to jail, so she’s not going to use it," Trump said.
"But I bet you that … she would love to use to those words, because almost everybody agrees that those words should be used.”
Yeah everybody who gets their news from talk radio and Fox News. Which are the same sources who would convince those people of the lie that Hillary Clinton is in danger of incarceration.
When asked about the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism" Hillary Clinton responded with this statement:
"And from my perspective, it matters what we do, not what we say. It matters that we got Bin Laden, not what name we called him," Clinton said. "But if he is somehow suggesting I don't call this for what it is, he hasn't been listening. I have clearly said we face terrorist enemies who use Islam to justify slaughtering people. We have to stop them and we will. We have to defeat radical jihadist terrorism, and we will."
Both terms "mean the same thing," Clinton continued, adding, "And to me, radical jihadism, radical Islamism, I think they mean the same thing. I'm happy to say either, but that's not the point."
"I have clearly said many, many times we face terrorist enemies who use Islam to justify slaughtering innocent people. We have to stop them and we will. We have to defeat radical jihadist terrorism or radical Islamism, whatever you call it," Clinton said later on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," reiterating, "it's the same."
So of course Trump decided to take credit for what he saw as a victory:
You know I am REALLY looking forward to Hillary and the President combining forces to stomp the crap out of this asshole in the next few months.I have been hitting Obama and Crooked Hillary hard on not using the term Radical Islamic Terror. Hillary just broke-said she would now use!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 13, 2016
You know what? Let's do it...
ReplyDeletelet's quit mincing around the true fact...
let's start calling it exactly what it is:
radical RELIGIOUS terrorism
Perfect!
DeleteThank you for this because we also have radical Christian terrorism right here also!
DeleteBanning assault-type weapons is the first step in this process. Common sense tells you that. first responders should not have to be confronted with peole who have more fire power than they do. That is exactly what happened in Orlando.
ReplyDeleteThree years ago after the San Bernadino massacre, 54 republican senators rejected making it illegal for people on the terrorist watch list to obtain weapons of mass destruction.
ReplyDelete(Just stated by Mike Barnicle on Morning Joe)
San Bernadino was last year.
DeleteThe Trojan rump strikes again. So the less than major networks do not air Hilary union speeches. but they will waste millions to air a empty stage for a empty candidate that speaks empty blabber for them and their empty life. Very good msn cnn fox. You are very transparent and your bias is now your brand. Everyone must unplug disconnect turn off, sign off and cancel. They stand with the golden Trojan rump ass. While American's stand with America, Pathetic bad marketing.
ReplyDelete"stomp the crap out of this asshole"
ReplyDeleteYes, that will be satisfying to see.
I'd pay to see it!
DeleteRadicalism and extremism are the real enemies it doesn't matter what religion or race you are if you are intolerant of others you are the problem and the potential terrorist.

DeleteRight on, 5:12. I have repeatedly said that fanaticism for ANY reason is dangerous.
DeleteIt's Trump who's the sympathizer. He's the one who is acting as a recruiter for ISIS/ISIL, and not Obama.
ReplyDelete"... not tough, not smart," says the Psychotic Yam, about our President.
ReplyDeleteNot tough, not smart. Uh-huh. Time to top you with miniature marshmallows and return you to the tanning bed to brown them.
You know, like one of those potluck side dishes that nobody touches. Even the lime Jell-O-based Mitch McConnell molded salad gets picked at.
LOL!
DeleteI love "Psychotic Yam."
DeleteIf there are ANY people of color out there who does not see that Trump is a racist, they have their heads in the sand, like an ostrich.
ReplyDeleteTrump is a white supremacist, this is why he continues to belittle President Obama.
As a Black person myself, I am highly offended by this guys constant assault on President Obama, which started on day one.
Lol. So Obama is immune from criticism, lest anyone be deemed a racist? You need to get your head out of the sand. Every President is immensely criticized from every angle available.
DeleteHillary fans likewise try to finger all her critics as misogynists. So she apparently is supposed to be shielded also. It is the presidency. You'd better be able to take the heat, or don't take the job.
8:37 AM Except you forget to mention that President Obama has had more hate and discord thrown at him than any other president in our life time!
DeleteRacism has been in the forefront and it started w/Mitch McConnell the day President Obama took his first oath of office! McConnell was born and raised in the southern state of Kentucky and I'm sure his family owned slaves.
He has led the hate factor from the steps of the United States Congress in D.C.! Plus, he's a leader in the Republican party. They are a hateful group of majority white folks and white, old men! McConnell is a very evil, hateful, ugly man!
@Anonymous 8:37 AM
DeleteNobody has said President Obama should be immune to criticism.
What Trump does is not criticism, it is an attempt to belittle, bully, diminish, and damage the character of President Obama. Every time Trump sees the chance he pounces like a rabid dog.
Anybody can see that the attacks are racist.
The birth certificate fiasco was just reprehensible, how Trump went on and on like a dog fighting for the last bone on earth.
Did you ever hear of Trump asking to see any of the the other presidents birth certificates? Of course you did not. Because they were white presidents.
Trump is a white supremacists and thinks no Black should have ever been elected president of the U.S. He has said so.
Why is it that whenever some random Black person commits a crime, or the some terrorist attacks, Trump implements President Obama? He is a racist that's why.
He cannot stand the fact that a Black man is president of this nation, leader of the free world.
Trump attacks Mexican, Muslims, as well as Blacks.
I can go on and on about how it is OBVIOUS that Trump is a white supremacist, and this is why he tries to belittle/diminish President Obama every chance he gets. BUT I will stop.
@Anonymous 8:37 AM
DeleteThis is Anonymous 6:37 AM and 9:44 AM
Edit: I should have said what Trumps does is not CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, it is an attempt to belittle, bully, diminish, and damage the character of President Obama.
Adding to the comment by 2:19 concerning what he said in his edit: And by association, HRC.

Just when I think I couldn't hate this fat, orange turd more, he comes up with more crap like this!
ReplyDeleteHey Georgia Peach, are you in Atlanta? Drumpf is going to be at the Fox theater tomorrow. Want to protest with me? I'll be the one holding the love trumps hate sign.
ReplyDeleteWe've got to represent down here... I was the only protester at his last ATL visit. Come southern dems, let's do it!
Thank you on behalf of others in CA. Stay safe!
DeleteThe theater is in the middle of the bluest part of the state. I hope it's peaceful, and my sign will be a message of peace. But last time I had a lady get angry with me on Marta just going to the rally! Nothing physical, but adamant I should just stay home. I just smiled and kept saying that I respected her right to have an opinion and I hoped she could respect mine. Another man commented after she finally left that he was thinking about supporting Trump, but that lady was just so ugly, he wasn't sure anymore.

Good explanation here -

Donald Trump is a very very dangerous sicko and I don't know how the Republican Party is going to get rid of him AND tamp down the unleashed racist etc etc masses he has legitimized with his rhetoric.
B.
It cannot be said enough times. No matter how repellent Trump is, Democrats should not be lulled into thinking the race is a slam dunk for Clinton. Voting in cataclysmic numbers is the only way to ensure Trump loses and the GOP loses a significant number of down ticket races.
ReplyDeleteVictory is declared after one has voted, not sitting on the couch imagining one more vote won't make any difference.
@TC 8:33 AM
DeleteWe know we have to vote to win. I don't think there is anybody old enough to vote who does not know he/she has to vote to get a person in office.
I can assure you that women will not forget to vote for the first woman president.
DeleteIt's going to be glorious
DeleteThe pic used on this thread has me again intrigued by Trump's highly worked-on teeth. I know he has veneers all across the front, but what I'm wondering is if it is even possible to floss between his two front teeth. They appear, here and elsewhere, to actually be a single piece of material and there is no true space between them. His two teeth on either side of the front ones also appear to be part of a single piece of fakeness, but in a # of pics there really appears to be a white connector between the two front teeth.
ReplyDeleteIt's not as though his real teeth were horrible. He could have had them whitened and been fine. He almost certainly even would have been a candidate for Invisalign and not had to have worn metal braces if he wanted straighter teeth. If I sound obsessed, it's because it amuses me that this out-of-date aged piece of lard thinks that his fake white teeth and orange face make him look younger and healthier. It's said that healthy teeth do make someone look younger, but he thinks that's all he needs to do. That and the tan. I was just thinking about how everyone used to joke about George Hamilton's constant tan and how he looked like an aging guy trying to look young. Thing is, with or without the tan he was handsome. He was hot when younger and was still very handsome when middle-aged. Trump thinks he was a stud when younger and still thinks he's handsome. He never was. He was doughy even in his twenties and he had those bored-looking eyes and penis nose and no chin. (His poor sons will age the same way.) Everything he does visually only ages him. He looks like a fat old man trying to stay young and virile looking and he thinks he's succeeded, but he looks pathetic.
Today he's 70 and he must think he looks 40--heck, he may even think he looks younger than that! But he's a tub of unhealthiness who's packaged himself in a way that he thinks makes him look young. My neighbor who lives below me will be 78 next month and she cannot relate to this guy at all--she is a vivacious woman who hits the gym and has so much going on and is one of the most interesting people I know. His breathing is something she's noticed. We've posted here about his heavy breathing. This guy is halfway to a heart attack. Appearance alone aside, his dated 1980's look shows that this is one of those people who, because they don't embrace change, are so obviously old--when decades go by and someone doesn't change the way Trump hasn't, we know that they not only look unevolved but mentally they remain unevolved, and this is what makes people uninteresting. Others grow older and continue to thrive and be part of the here and now, but people like Trump are static and boring and part of a past they cling to.
Well, here's wishing a happy birthday to the loser. Hope he doesn't keel over blowing out his candles.
"He was doughy even in his twenties and he had those bored-looking eyes and penis nose and no chin. " That is funny.
DeleteWant to bet that his PENIS nose is biGGer then his real penis and little sTRUMPy fingers?
@Anonymous 8:37 AM
DeleteLOL... I thoroughly enjoyed your post.
Fool that I was, I never imagined that anyone running for national office could ever out-Palin Palin. And now 8 years later, the short-fingered psychotic yam (Thanks, Mrs TarquinBiscuitbarrel) has done it! We're doomed.
ReplyDeleteI think we can blame John McCain for part of this. He foisted Sarah Palin on the country; the GOP permitted her racist undertones (sometimes not so "undertone"), the Tea Party moved on to develop the GOP brand of racism, and now we have Donald Trump, the perfect epitome of 21st century GOP racism. God help this country.
DeleteBeaglemom
I so wish someone would beat the holy shit out of Donald Trump, break his teeth creating his mouth having to be sewn shut, etc.
ReplyDeleteHe is so anti America and ugly inside and out that he needs to be taken to a wood pile. I wish we'd never hear from him again.
Thank God, President Obama has been the leader of our country! I'm so going to miss him when his second term has been completed!
