David French appeared on Morning Joe this morning to say that there is a path forward for a third party candidate, and to complain about Donald Trump's racist supporters.

Courtesy of Politico:

Even before his name was floated as a third-party challenger to Donald Trump, National Review staff writer David French said he already had neighbors concerned about attacks in his neighborhood and his youngest daughter had been the subject of racially motivated abuse online.

Trump, French told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday, "unlocked something terrible in this country."

French said his wife's family in Tennessee had received a call from someone who said he was with Trump's operation and said he was “instructed to call and deliver a message that the race would be very difficult for me."

"Well, you know, it was probably one of the more ham-handed attempts at intimidation, which out of the Trump operation you can expect things to be done in most incompetent way possible," French said, going into more detail about the call. "An individual calls — he says, 'I'm sorry, but I've been asked by the Trump campaign to make sure that David knows this will be really, really bad for him.'"

Let me just point out the huge pile of irony here that a man whose wife worked for Sarah Palin is complaining about being attacked by anybody's rabid supporters.

I can tell you that I would have much preferred having some asshole make a vague statement about it being bad for me to continue doing what I was doing back in 2009, than to have them call the school where I had worked for four years and tell them they were going to shoot me in front of the children.

If French was that easily intimidated he has no business being in politics at all.

This is also the first time that I have heard David French speak, and the very idea that he could stand in front of a room with that whiny high pitched voice of his and inspire them to vote for him is completely ridiculous.

You know after I posted about French making rules for his wife that she could not talk to other men, drink, or access Facebook, while he was deployed overseas some commenters started to refer to him as a "cuckold." And I have to admit that from the moment he started to talk that is exactly what I thought of him as well.

What an incredibly unimpressive individual.

If Mr. French ran third party he would have to present his tax returns. How interesting it would be to see that his wife has been pimping her writing out to Sarah Palin and her mentally retarded child, Bristol. That fact alone shows he and his wife will do anything for a Christian buck.

I listened to French yesterday (not Morning Joe) and thought what he said made sense. He talked about simply not being the guy who would be needed in order to stop Trump. They would need to find someone with big name recognition and sway, especially at this late point. I know all the other Palin-related stuff about him and about his wife, but I thought his main points for not running for pres all made sense. He welcomed someone else to come forward who could counter Trump effectively, and he said his own candidacy would just get in the way and muddle things. And who needs the Trump "online mob" (what he called it and it fits) after him and also tracking down his family and intimidating them when French wouldn't stand a chance of winning? Look, even, at what we learned yesterday re Trump's secret meeting and calling his own staffers stupid and telling them to keep pushing the anti-Curiel message and calling all media people who question that topic the racists instead of himself. Trump is insane. His closest people are insane. I think French made a wise decision.

David French is a hard core, far right fanatical Christian, of the same mold as Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert.

French made one good decision, and had a few reasonable things to say, but don't be fooled: the man is all in favor of forcing his evangelical Christian mythology on all the rest of us.

There were many unforseen and negative consequences when I tried to run through that door that Brother Bill Kristol told me was open.

Among other indignities we received a flood of emails. Some were rather illiterate rants from libtards, others were more grammatically and anatomically specific.

It is hard to imagine how I could go "Eff" myself, that's almost as forbidden in the bible as using contraception! In addition, I am not as flexible as I was in my youth and thus some suggestions are not possible.

The most disturbing appeared to reference some "Barstool" person and had a specific instructions.

“You should be ashamed! Stop blogging. Stop blogging right now!”

I had no idea so many people would get all wee wee'd up at the idea of a god fearing Mitt Romney supporter running for president. The situation has driven my wife to consider drinking alcoholic beverages and talking to men who don't even attend our church.

It's a pretty bad day in the Republican bubble when so called Republicans threaten a candidate from their own party. Besides we all haven't come forth and acknowledged that Donald is mafia. He talks and behaves as one. No one wants to come out and say it or he'll have their arms broken or something like that. That's why the party that wasn't going to support him are now falling his way like ninepins. That's why Christie looked so stricken a few months back. Everytime Donald "Corleone" Trump makes these visits to people who are against him and they turn he just made them an offer they couldn't turn down. The mafia held something over these pristine Republicans. Now their candidate is going to try and waltz into the White House and make our world their oyster.

Sanders Still Hoping for Big California Win and Other Victories Tuesday, Vows to Continue Campaign

In a nearly hour-long speech, Sanders predicted he would win the California primary today, as well as contests in Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota, and do well enough against Hillary Clinton in New Jersey (where she is expected to win) to demonstrate to the Democratic Party’s superdelegates that he is the candidate best suited to beat Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump will not become president of the United States. And he will not become president for a number of fairly obvious reasons. Reason number one: in every national poll and in every statewide poll, we beat him and we beat him badly,” Sanders said. “And I should point out to every one of the Democratic delegates going to Philadelphia, we beat Trump by far larger margins than does Hillary Clinton.”

David French has a long record of crusading against gay people. It turns out quite a few of the loudest crusaders against gay people are closet gay people. They deserve to be ridiculed.

Don Dwyer is a case in point in my community. This guy was the leading proponent against gay rights in Maryland. He eventually crashed and burned. It later was found out he solicited dates as "toolbox" on men seeking men sites.
