I think I may have identified Sarah Palin's next media job. A host on Trump TV.

Courtesy of Vanity Fair:

Trump is indeed considering creating his own media business, built on the audience that has supported him thus far in his bid to become the next president of the United States. According to several people briefed on the discussions, the presumptive Republican nominee is examining the opportunity presented by the “audience” currently supporting him. He has also discussed the possibility of launching a “mini-media conglomerate” outside of his existing TV-production business, Trump Productions LLC. He has, according to one of these people, enlisted the consultation of his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who owns the The New York Observer. Trump’s rationale, according to this person, is that, “win or lose, we are onto something here. We’ve triggered a base of the population that hasn’t had a voice in a long time.” For his part, Kushner was heard at a New York dinner party saying that “the people here don’t understand what I’m seeing. You go to these arenas and people go crazy for him.” (Both Kushner and Ivanka Trump did not respond to a request for comment.)

Trump, this person close to the matter suggests, has become irked by his ability to create revenue for other media organizations without being able to take a cut himself. Such a situation “brings him to the conclusion that he has the business acumen and the ratings for his own network.” Trump has “gotten the bug,” according to this person. “So now he wants to figure out if he can monetize it.”

You know I have been racking my brain to figure out just what payback Palin was going to receive for being an early supporter of Donald Trump.

After all we know for a fact she never does anything for free.

Some have suggested that she wanted to have a cabinet position in a President Trump's administration, but I never thought she wanted to work that hard, or be that responsible.

So this Trump TV idea seems like a perfect fit.

Palin could most likely ask for any show she wanted and Trump would indulge her. At least for a little while until her ratings crashed and burned like every other thing she touches.

So if this article is on the up and up we may soon actually have a Judge Palin show, presented to you by Donald J. Trump so you know it's going to do "bigly," to mock.

Here's the dill on this - sure, Trump has fired up a base of ignorant, racist, ugly and exceptionally uneducated people, BUT - and it is a yuuuuuuuuuge BUT - these are NOT people who advertisers seek. They are generally poorer, older and, fortunately for the rest of us, they are a relatively small portion of our population.

    1. He wants to "give them a voice" -- we already hear WAY too much from them. Like giving the Id of a monster a "voice" -- and aren't there already "platforms" for these people on daytime talk shows where they also get to throw chairs?

Drumpf should stick to a "Wayne's World" format filmed in the deepest basement of a Trump Tower if he now wants to be a media mogul.

Drumpf could pander to his audience and sell hamburgers and beer instead of steaks and wine. KARMIC!

" It outlined, presumably fantastically, that Trump should run for president; and on the off chance that he won, he would continue to star in The Apprentice from within the White House."

Like all things tRump, this will fail - BIGLY. Surely Ivanka is smart enough to see what a disaster PayMe is, with her screechy, nerve shattering voice? tRump will enlist a large pool of "talent" from the former beauty pageants he hosted. $carah will look like something the cat dragged in compared to those women. I am waiting for the Duh and Ho marriage to implode, once they realise no reality TV show is interested in their "love story".

Strangely, no photos have been shown of this "marriage" Who attended, were any of Duh's family members there? Who paid their fares? For a family that puts photos of everything on their facebook pages, this is strange. I do not believe they are married, except in a commitment ceremony that holds no legal claims.Duh is just the latest in a long line of trial husbands. He looks bored already also, too.

"The best that can be said about him, apart from the fact that he doesn’t do God, is that his campaign slogan could, and should, be: “We’ll burn that bridge when we come to it.”

"One of the most unsettling vignettes of this programme was Trump telling Larry King, live: “Do you mind if I move my seat… your breath’s very bad.” Rudeness of such exuberant tactlessness: I almost stood and applauded." -- Euan Ferguson

To "find the gold" in ANYTHING PayMe it would take a genius. Grifting, lazy, unemployed, entitled. Bristles should get the message that the only reality show she belongs on is the Maury show, where women have many guys tested to find their babies fathers. Except that many of the women are much more attractive and have more personaility that Bristles.

I agree with you, 6:38 AM. Don't see Palin being involved business wise with Donald! And, that IS an old photo of them together when she so publically embarrassed him!

I would think the Trump women have major input as to making sure there is zero involvement, business wise, w/the 'white trash' Sarah Palin and her family!

All they have to do is research Sarah's business ventures throughout the past ten years! She has failed at everything she's touched! Absolutely everything!

Trump, and his women, would want proven winners in any new business ventures!

One of the things that a more liberal congress could do is give the FCC more teeth to regulate broadcasters. Even under current rules, obtaining a broadcast license requires " Applicants must satisfy the Commission that they are legally, technically and financially qualified and that operation of the proposed station would be in the public interest." How FOX passes the "public interest" requirement is a mystery, but if the FCC can deny KKK-TV a license, it should be a slam-dunk to deny Donald Chump a renewal once he reveals his format - and we all know what it will be.

FOX won a court case in the early 2000s that, under the First Amendment, it was perfectly legal to lie and/or distort news.

Canada told them to buzz off.

    2. Maple8:21 AM

But it allowed them to continue calling it Fox News Network, even though they received an entertainment, not news, licence.
The RWNJs here in Canada started up a similar, rightwing channel. At its peak, I think it averaged about 8,000 viewers. Thankfully it went under. And thankfully, we voted in a Liberal government last October. Here's to you guys doing the same in November!

    3. Hedgewytch8:22 AM

7:10 that because FOX news argued that they were an 'entertainment' show, not news. Canada has laws that stop such shows - the USA just took their word for it and said ok.

I don't think Fox News Channel needs/has a broadcast license as it's a cable station.

Maple - Fox tried to establish a Canadian news channel here a few years ago, and the CRTC said "NO!" Thank goodness for integrity! Sun TV was a joke; you could see right through the slant! I tried to watch it; after two minutes, my ears bled from all the neocon bullshit blather! The ONLY time I watched it was when then-MP Justin Trudeau had that charity boxing match with now-disgraced Senator Brazeau. Trudeau dropped him to the canvas in a 6-round KO, and broke his nose! Thank God it ceased broadcasting! Besides, I really miss "Frank" magazine!!

Trump, this person close to the matter suggests, has become irked by his ability to create revenue for other media organizations without being able to take a cut himself.

A truly sincere candidate for president would have the ultimate goal of serving the American people so he/she would be happy for all of the media help in getting the message out there.

Trump shows how selfish and self-centered he is that he can't make money off of appearing in the media. It sounds like the Palins marketing photos of a wedding to the highest bidder in order to make some money. Wedding? No pictures? To quote Todd Palin, "What's in it for us?" Birds of a feather.

“He says, ‘I want to give you an early wedding gift as a gesture from me and Melania,'” Sheen recalled. “He says ‘These are platinum diamond Harry Winston’ and he pulls off his cufflinks and he gives them to me.”

Considering Sheen never invited him to the wedding, he was flattered by the gesture at the time. Until he asked an appraiser to look at them six months later.

“She took the loop, spent about four seconds, and kind of recoiled from it — much like people do from Trump — and says ‘In their finest moment, this is cheap pewter and bad zirconias.’ And they’re stamped ‘Trump,'” Sheen said. “And I just thought, ‘What does this really say about the man, that he said, Here’s a great wedding gift, and it’s just a bag of dogsh*t?'”

"what payback Palin was going to receive for being an early supporter of Donald Trump."

Payback = reflected media attention. That's the only promise she got from Trump for latching herself on to him.

She's been actively trying to sell herself to to some already existing, gullible tv network and she needed to 'prove' she could draw an audience. She wouldn't have invested the time and money into courting tv execs if she knew about a possible TrumpTV.

But, oh boy, now that she knows, she must be thrilled...cause no one else is buying...and we can imagine how she's plotting to twist Trump's arm to give her show a time slot.

The problem is, and I think Trump knows it, he's going to need a backup, Sarah quit every job she's ever had, can't "act" her way out of a paper bag, and who is she to "play judge"? There's a subset of basic law principles one needs to know and know well to gain any credibility whatsoever. And besides, who'd tune her in regularly?
