My favorite tweet of the week so far.

I quite literally could not be more agreeable to this sentiment.

Don cannot say the words "organized crime". He cannot not say connect the dots to the Russian singles..and hackers. How about that Russian porn star? And all the weapons going to the bad guys. Don J will never say that. How about the Frenches? Can they say that?

    1. What Russian singles, and porn star? Was this ass involved in another "something"?

Good grief, I met a Trump voter the other day. She was rattling on about how Trump is the only man brave enough to take on the terrorists. That Obama hasn't done anything. I said he's done plenty. She said Obama hasn't done enough. What else do you expect him to do? What are your suggestions. She had no answer, but knew Trump would do it. So I asked her what exactly has Trump said HE would do, to which after a moment or two said that Trump can't reveal his plan because it would alert the terrorists. OK, I said, let me ask you what exactly would he do about anything to make us great again. Crickets. So then I asked if it bothered her that he only brags about himself, belittles others, lies continuously, and spreads wild ass conspiracy theories while never offering anything realistic or substantial EVERY time he speaks? Crickets, but then she started on how distrustful Hillary is. So I said, let me ask you one more question:

Does it bother you as a taxpayer, voter, and an American citizen that over more than 20 years the right wing - the Republicans looking for blood, have spent more than a hundred million, 60 million of which stemed from Whitewater, and the multiple upon multiple investigations there has never been a "there" there. That all the distrust you have has been manufactured out of pure horseshit? Think about all what I've asked you, and think about how Republicans bamboozle Americans with fear and hyperbole. I'm sick of the bullshit out of Trump's mouth, and bullshit spread about Hillary.

I didn't mean to unload on you. I just took the opportunity to vent.

I've never been one to argue, and I've never confronted anyone on politics - ever! I'm just sick of this bullshit.

  3. The sentiment, certainly; the practicality, let's not kid ourselves. Trump has done a needed service, exposing the appalling percentage of stupid American voters, and uncovered a degree of racism that's left me feeling embarrassingly naive at 62. :(

Destroy Donald Trump, and he will take the GOP down with him or die trying.

    It's All Good!

On a serious note, as painful as this is (Donald Trump's campaign) for ALL Americans, as they say "no pain no gain". When this is all over and all is said and done, if The GOP fails to exist after this election, this will have been well worth it.

Won't it be unhealthy for America if there's only one ruling party?

The Republicans should NOT fail to exist, they just need to check their tone and NEVER let someone like Drumpf or Payme rear their collective ugly heads, again.

Well there is a small shred of good news for Trump in the polling data. 90% of his tweeters reliably turn out at the ballot box. Well, that settles it.

"According to an analysis obtained by POLITICO that matches Twitter handles to public voter data, seven out of every 10 of @realdonaldtrump’s followers appear to be his supporters. The report, produced by San Antonio database marketing agency Stirista, also found that nearly 90 percent of Trump’s followers are reliable turn outs at the ballot box; roughly 11 percent of Trump’s followers should be classified as first-time presidential voters.

    2. That's pretty scary for us that he has determined voters, while our voters have a dismal record of voting. There really ought to be a sustained GOTV, especially in social media. It should be ingrained in every American.

Look at the Sanders rallies. The crowds did not equal voters. If there is truly a revolution the Democrats can use, then it needs teeth ... and that means voting. Otherwise it will just wither on the vine. But like any flower it needs tending. Which means the Democrats must continuously reach out. Governor Dean was good at this.

How Donald Trump Is Actually Winning Over the Republican Donor Class

...And this is why, for all of Trump’s erratic and authoritarian impulses, and for all of the long-term brand damage he threatens, Republican insiders have made their peace with the prospect of handing him the nuclear codes. A President Trump may degrade or destroy the health of American democracy, but they feel confident he would give them the things they care about most.

    Trump’s Twitter army

New data show the GOP nominee’s followers are exactly what Dems hoped they weren’t -- reliable voters.

Beltway insiders like to dismiss Donald Trump’s strength in social media as a mirage – a following of reporters and political gadflies, not Republican voters and core activists.

New data shows the Washington elite are wrong.

According to an analysis obtained by POLITICO that matches Twitter handles to public voter data, seven out of every 10 of @realdonaldtrump’s followers appear to be his supporters. The report, produced by San Antonio database marketing agency Stirista, also found that nearly 90 percent of Trump’s followers are reliable turn outs at the ballot box; roughly 11 percent of Trump’s followers should be classified as first-time presidential voters.

“It’s translating into votes,” Stirista CEO Ajay Gupta said in an interview to describe Trump’s social media strategy. “Not at a one-to-one level. But at a 70 percent level, it is a pretty good margin.”

It is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again.

My favorite tweet of the week so far.

I quite literally could not be more agreeable to this sentiment.

I've read your blog. I certainly do believe this!

"His kind"? What is his kind but the type that believes in true freedom of thought/speech?

How do dishonest demagogues like you and Plouffe propose to accomplish your task, which involves the stifling of freedom? Physically and emotionally harass people like Trump? Inhibit their right to reasonably defend themselves? Illegalize them? Execute them? Yes, as a matter of fact, history has shown that is your methodology.

You're a toxic totalitarian liar who doesn't have the the courage to admit it. Too bad for you your side is the one which doesn't believe in the principle behind the 2nd Amendment. Watching you try to stop the Trumps in the US will be most enjoyable for us. Bring it.

Oh we bring it baby, we bring it.

And the answer to your questions about how to accomplish our task? Educate them, because we all know that, like you, the poorly educated are the ones who hate and fear the most.

    2. Do you really think this is an ideological disagreement?

It is not Donald Trump's politics that make him so dangerous it is the fact that he is pouring gasoline on the embers of racial hatred and then using that to fuel his campaign.

By the way we liberals stop a dangerous political figure with our votes, not violence.

However it is not at all surprising that your first instinct is to reach for your metal penis extender and threaten to wave it in our faces if we dare to disagree with you.

That is exactly the kind of ignorance I would expect from a Trump supporter.

Do you really think this is an ideological disagreement?

I just called you a demagogue and toxic totalitarian liar. Do you think I was insincere? Are you not smart enough to understand where I must be coming from?

Hillary is a psychopath, Barack is a delusional sophist, and your side projects its violent tendencies onto liberatarians who oppose you, which you'd accept if you weren't a rationalizing partisan hack who confuses "devastating" personal attacks with true intellectualism.

You're a very immature human being emotionally, like the rest of your abusive fellow travelers. Fortunately, I have enough sense to not argue with dishonest people like you. You're not a worthy debate opponent; you deserve mockery at best, little man.

From The Hill today on the political scene's biggest winners and losers. Under losers: (awful picture also too)

"Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R)

Palin endorsed Trump at a rally leading into the Iowa caucuses, which he lost. The bigger problem for Palin is just how far her star has fallen since her 2008 high point as the GOP vice presidential nominee. The idiosyncratic style of her endorsement speech — “No more pussyfootin’ around. ... He is from the private sector, not a politician, can I get a hallelujah?” — was widely mocked. Palin received a noticeably chilly response stumping for Trump later in the primary process as well."

Down, down, down she goes - how low she'll go nobody knows. Bwhahahahahah
